Delicious as always! You can't leave here without trying their famous 15 minute wings. It's the reason my family and I keep coming back. The sauce on the wings is so flavorful, we always ask for more sauce on the side. Very crispy and one basket isn't enough! The nachos were really good and filling. The place is very beautiful and the big windows make the place feel very open and inviting. Overall, 10/10 I'm coming back for them wings!

Came for Taco Tuesday/Happy Hour and had Bailey as the waitress. She did a fine job with the order. The MSG and Bacon Date pizzas were balanced and had delicious, crispy crusts.

The happy hour menu here was absolutely wonderful!!! I love a good happy hour and Simmzy's did not disappoint. The drinks were priced right and the food was really tasty. We sat inside but at a table right by the open air full windows so got a nice breeze while we ate. The night we went it seemed like there were only a couple employees responsible for serving the whole dinning area but they KILLED it! My cousin and I were shocked at how well they worked together and handled the amount of people inside while giving great service. Very nice chill price and the happy hour menu is perfect for the times.

Friendly staff, good 8.8 beer on tap, varied and good food. What's not to like? The staff most accommodating. Hopefully I'll be back!

Another great restaurant on second street. Always filled with guest and has a great vibe. Quick service and we ordered from the bartender to go. We got the brusselsprouts, wings and a salmon Sando. The food was not super great and a bit too expensive for what you get. Next time I will probably go during happy hour. I am absolutely going to go again and try their tacos and pizza and will hopefully like that better.

I haven't been to Simmzy's in a while. I was looking forward to the Arugula Salad Foldover pizza and it didn't disappoint. One of my favorites. The Hubs had the Poke Tostada. Sis had the Tinga Tacos and Bro-in-law had the Buffalo Chicken pizza. The food rocked! Service was a little slow but that's because the place was packed for happy hour. From 3-6pm you get the best prices for all of these menu items. They got rid of the communal tables. The windows were open giving the place an open air feel. They serve craft beer. I like the blonde. Lots of different brews to chose from. Give Simmzy's on 2nd Street in Belmont Shore. The HB location doesn't serve the Arugula Foldover. Just FYI. They have a slightly different menu. That's OC for you.

Decided to stop in for a quick bite to eat. Called to see when they closed due to help saying they close at 10pm. They're actually open until 11pm and assisted us until we finished our meal. Haven't been here in awhile. Our waiter was super sweet, funny and provided amazing customer service. Ordered two pizzas, 15 minute wings, Baja taco and sweet potato fries. The Baja taco sauce was sweet and lacked in favor. Only ate 1 bite. The thin margherita pizza was burned on some parts of the pizza and the toppings were not on every slice, however it was palatable. The meat pizza was thin, flavorful and toppings were on every slice. 15 minute wings were not dripping in the sauce like I would want.. easy fixed ordered more sauce. Sweet potato fries were brought to the table cold. I will say the ranch dressing is thin and flavorless, wishing it was a tad bit thicker. The containers for the dipping sauces should be bigger, I'm a heavy dipper and after two bites sauce was gone. Our waitress was making her rounds to everyone and checked on us throughout. Sweet young girl! Due to it being late, it wasn't packed and we were able to pick a table next to window and the music selection wasn't bad either! Stars are for the waitress. I'll be back again hoping for the food to have more flavor.

The ambiance was nice inside for a good snack/meal but it was quite annoying with a lot of flies around our food and drinks. The service was good but we ran into some issues our server had on his mistake. Parking is very difficult especially on the weekend. I got their Baja Fish Tacos (2) and the tortilla they used for their tacos didn't mesh well with the fish. I couldn't eat it at all. It tasted microwaved; lukewarm. It wasn't hard or soft, it just didn't feel right so I ate the fish and coleslaw without it. The fish was barely battered so there was no crisp to it but it tasted fresh regardless. The coleslaw was really good as well.

Grilled Chicken Sandwich ($10)- A lot of flavor!

Haven't been here in a long time! Came to celebrate a friend's birthday lunch here. The food was great. We got the chicken nachos and this portion was big enough for 3 people to share. We could not even finish them! Their tacos/chimichangas are a great size and affordable. My chimichanga was really good! Service was nice. They heard it was one of our friend's birthday and brought out their warm donut with ice cream for dessert. Nice touch!

Great menu from burgers, sandwiches, salads. I had the falafel taco (great seasoning with a cabbage slaw), cup of tortilla soup, delicious! Friend got the salmon salad, that looked fresh and cooked perfectly! Server was friendly and attentive, he was great! Located Right on 2nd street so we got to window shop and browse the local shops on the way to the restaurant. Lots of street parking, and a parking structure close by as well.

Service & Ambiance -- hella nice staff, quick to order, quick to get food & provided really good recs! Great date night vibe with a good assortment of drinks and American food! Happy Hour everyday @ 9 pm -- one hour before closing. Most popular drinks half off. Really good menu! Cocktails 4/5 passionfruit paloma -- super good. Not the biggest fan of the sparkling grapefruit soda. But still solid cactus cooler -- delicious!! Tastes like a Mexican candy shot but better! Aztec mule -- my bf looooved it. Food: 15-minute wings -- sweet/savory; perfectly crispy and good flavor blackened salmon sando -- this was amazing! I loved this. Great combination of flavors. bacon date pizza -- bf loved this. At first a strange combination of flavors but it paired extremely well. No crumbs were left fries -- shoestring done amazing!

I am so glad I discovered this spot, the food here is amazing and perfect for a casual lunch. There's a good variety of foods on the menu and the drinks are really solid too. They do a great margarita and we liked the IPA's we tried. There's plenty of seating including at the bar and the service is fast and the workers are all really friendly. Parking might be the only issue but we came Sunday during pride when it was crowded and still found a spot. The Caesar salad with salmon was amazing and it might be the best salmon I've ever had. The classic burger is solid but my favorite on that plate were the sweet potatoes fries. The poke tostada and chicken tinga tacos were also good. We got nachos as an app and without protein they were still very flavorful and coated in toppings. The only food I wouldn't recommend is the chicken tortilla soup it was really bland and didn't have any flavor.

Simmzy's Big Breakfast Sando is goooood (esp with a pitcher of sangria)

Where is the best spot to park (e.g. 2nd St.)? I am not familiar with the area and it will be awesome to know the cross streets that will be best to park (e.g. street side or parking areas).

Residential street parking on sides streets or meters on 2nd St are common grounds for parking. Also, small parking lots on side streets.

    Are dogs allowed?

    Is there any gluten-free options?

Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

I started with a cup of their beef and barley soup. My wife and I both make this at home from scratch and we're both impressed by theirs. My wife took a taste of mine and instantly ordered her own. Very rich and flavorful. I kept looking at photos of their take on chicken and waffles and knew I had to try it. Seriously epic and was good as it looked. They coated the chicken in a chili rub that gave it a sweet and spicy flavor when paired with their maple syrup. Served on top of a waffle and topped with an egg. I loved it and would probably order again on my next visit. My wife had the American plate which was your classic eggs, bacon, potatoes, and sourdough toast combo. High quality ingredients elevated it beyond your typical diner food. Drinks were great too. I had their house made bloody mary which had a nice kick to it. My wife had their brunch version of a Corpse Reviver cocktail. After our meals were done we finished with an Irish coffee since everyone was ordering them. Perfect service, relaxing atmosphere, and delicious food will definitely have me returning very soon! Parking is free for 2 hours at the nearby garage on 3rd and is a very short walk. TLDR; It's expensive, and not worth the routine visit, but worth the one-time stop in to experience the festivities. The Miracle pop-up at The Ordinarie is somehow even more decorated and extravagant than you'd expect from a seasonal pop-up. The line looks long outside, as there are no reservations, but it moves quickly since they hold everybody to a pretty strict 2-hour time limit. The drinks are good, the cups are cute, and everyone is festive. It's an all-around fun experience.  I think because of this, you do pay a premium price tag for food and drinks that are just good or okay. I think it's something that is worth the visit if you've never been and you enjoy getting into the Christmas spirit. I think that outside of the pop-up, The Ordinarie is a fun spot to check out in Long Beach. It't not a pillar of the food scene if you're a tourist, but it is a good, late night spot if you work in the industry nearby. They have a great late-night menu with a killer smash burger.

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. My favorite was probably the Brussel sprouts as they were cooked to perfection and not sweet like most restaurants serve them. A close 2nd was the chicken parmesan served over zucchini noodles. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
