Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure of checking out this place during their grand opening. We were greeted promptly and given the option of being seated at the bar, indoors, at the enclosed patio or outdoors under the umbrella. With record high temps, we opted to dine indoors. We were the first customers for our new server, Anayah (pardon me if I did not get the spelling correctly). She was friendly, and checked back with us often to ensure that we were having a great experience. The manager came over and introduced himself and personally thanked us for coming out and supporting the restaurant. If you are a fan of liver and onions , you must check it out for yourself! So tender, so tasty, so good. For me it was a 10 out of 10. My son's corned beef hash breakfast was delicious as well. This is a really nice diner. We went for breakfast, and there were plenty of seats available, but it took a while for someone to come and take our drink order. The breakfast came out quickly, and the food was really good. There seemed to be a team meeting on the floor for the wait staff, which seemed to delay their ability to fully pay attention to the customers. We sat for over 10 minutes waiting for the meeting to be over so we could receive our check. It's new, so I'll give them time to work the kinks out. I got the Red White and Blue French toast with eggs and bacon. They were very busy and the food looked great and tasted great but it was not warm. They need to use hot plates to serve eggs. The French toast with berries and cinnamon cream is delish! The bacon is very thin and ordinary. I sent it back to warm up and unfortunately it still came back with barely any warmth. The server was nice and clearly a bit overwhelmed by the crowd. He made the martini my hubby ordered and added bitters and sweet vermouth lol. We will go back again. We sat in the outside with a large group which was really nice and they were very accommodating even though we had so many people in our party. Our waiter was so nice and funny. To celebrate our friend's 8 year old's birthday and our friends' 2nd wedding anniversary, we decided to come here to check out their brunch. Each of the adults ordered different breakfast dishes and the kids ordered pancakes. My husband and I have been here twice before, for lunch and supper, and enjoyed every dish we ordered. I'm a very happy to the new Silver Diner located at the Avenue has options for Plant-Based Vegan items on their menu. As a retired Catering/Executive Chef and a Vegan of 15 years, it nice to see that the Executive Chef has vision and sees that all everyone wants to eat. I really like that they offer 3 Plant-Based Vegan Entrees and also they offer Dairy-Free Ice Creams and Shakes. The customer service is always on point and your dining room is always clean and friendly! What really impressed me is how your open kitchen is clean and immaculate and that can seen with that your kitchen staff takes pride in the appearance. I hope that the Chef will add more item that are plant-based vegan to menu. Also, may I suggest that you try Monkfruit sugar, it's good in food and drinks, I know that you currently are using Beyond Meat products, I prefer Impossible, but there's a company called Everything Legendary and their burger are made locally and in small batch in Prince George's County M.D. they even have a plant-based burger that already has plant-based cheese in the burger!
