Food was average. We ordered fish and chips and grilled chicken with beer-glazed. Clam chowder was OK. We went here during Lakers game. It was so crowded. People were drunk and so loud. We needed to find the table by ourself, asked the menu, went to the cashier for order and asked for check by ourselves. Sorry won't come back. The venue is fantastic, I would suggest sitting in the back over looking the pier. They have great happy hour prices and it's only a short walk from the queen Mary. So I came here to use my groupon.....Its in a nice location in Long Beach....the place itself is kinda small, I thought it would be bigger...well, the inside anyways...there is an outside area which is nice on a warm night...it was a cold day when I went. So once I sat I was lucky that girl behind the bar was out taking orders.....trust me, for others it took a while for her to come take orders at their table. I ordered my drink and then had to waited like 20mins for her to come take my order, she never did and finally another bartender came and asked if I had ordered and finally took my order and all of the other tables as well. . I ordered the shepards pie and the tuna. It took about 20mins to get my food...not bad. Once I got my food, I must say that the tuna dish was "ok" not great, not terrible. The shepards pie was good....i really enjoyed it....however I wanted another beer and there was no one to take my order...the girl was just chatting with people at the bar, so I had to physically walk up to the bar and order a drink. Pretty bad service! Well, the shepards pie was not bad at all....however, it also took forever for me to even pay my bill....I almost thought that I may have to walk out without paying cause no one is taking my payment. So again, I physically walked up to the bar and finally paid. So in short, terrible service, food is ok, but not worth going back for. If the service was better, I might come back multiple times for the Shepards pie...but I was there like 40mins longer than I should have and when your totally ignored, you probably won't return. read more

I came across this pub while my husband and I were visiting the aquarium with our son. We were looking for a place to enjoy some lunch and a cold beverage and while a pub is not a typical place for a toddler we thought we would give it a try. The staff was so friendly and attentive and the food was great, our son really liked it too which is saying a lot for a 19 month old. We visited on Mother's Day and had a blast. All you can drink Champagne for $10. The location is fantastic and the service and food were way above average. TV's all over showing games and great music. We drove our boat over from Alamitos Bay and we found a guest dock right away. We'll definitely be coming back. read more

I was here last night with my step daughter. I ordered few drinks and they were huge and strong. Largest shot in terms of size. I was also very impressed with the service here. The bartender was a very friendly and pretty lady, Christina. She made every effort to make sure I had a great time very late Wednesday night. There was also a pool table there, and I and my daughter played several games there -- all on the house! I've seldom had so much fun in an Irish bar. The manager there Teresa had just finished her shift. She was sitting at the bar relaxing with a bottle of water. It was around midnight and only few customers in the bar.I got to talk with her for few minutes. She was very friendly and nice. A manager who looked as if she truly cared. I told her I was having a great time in the bar. True there were few customers that time of evening on a late Wednesday night. But still... Needless to say I will always come here when I'm visiting long beach. The bar has a spectacular view of harbor, exceptionally friendly, and quick customer service, and a huge stock of beer n spirits and very very clean restrooms--- I'm a stickler for neatness and cleanliness. I like this place and all, great smoking patio, decent food. My beef right here is that they only sell bottled water because the drought or whatever, but they sell nestle water. Nestle bottles water here in California and ships it out of state. Nestle's CEO defiantly laughs this off. Way to defeat your own stupid policy. The food was good and the drinks were tasty. The service was good and very nice for kids as well as adults. My only complaint is that when I asked for water they only provide with bottled water for sale - no tap. I don't think that's allowed but it must work because they got an extra $40 out of us in drinks and sodas. I called the staff one week later to notify them that the balance didn't match my receipt, and No i did not get helped by their management team. Our first time coming here I should have known to not trust the food. Frys were cold/ reheated. I asked for no thousand island on my burger and they come back with a burger with thousand island. Then I send it back to find out they just wiped off the thousand island off my bread leaving the residue on the bread and lettuce ! Like are you guys that tight with giving me a new bread! Love the ambiance of this place! It's just a bar/restaurant but it has nice outdoor seating and sometimes live music. Inside is a little dark but they have a pool table and patio by the water also. Typical Irish type bar food but delicious! Had a chicken burger over the weekend and it was pretty good! I'm giving this place a 3 star due to the unfriendly environment of the servers. I keep coming back to this place thinking it is just the day but the more I come the more I realize that it maybe just me. My girlfriend and I have a hard time getting served at the bar. Other people around us will get served but we are usually unattended to. I have actually walked out before due to not being served and standing at a not full bar top for over 5 mins. We keep coming back because of the location and our friends from out of town usually want to stop in there due to the ambiance outside. I don't think we will be going back to this place. read more
