Irish coffee from Tito & Sunday staff!

I truly appreciate all staff at O'Connells. Amazing location in Long Beach. 6am - 2am I was traveling to home and needing coffee to get motivated! Coffee + Tullamore Dew + Baileys! A little whip!

This place has improved majorly!!! A total 180, clean, painted, nice decor, better bartender. Wished they had regular Coronas and not the new light, I didn't requested the low calorie one and didn't notice until I inhaled it lol (not a fan of its watery flavor). The place has it cool atmosphere, and it's a plus that there is MVP next door

Lost my wallet here and instead of being helpful the bartender decided he would rather be rude and a smart ass. Do not recommend at alll.

There's…read morealmost always an event or gathering happening out in their parking area, which gives it a really fun, lively vibe. What I really appreciate is that sometimes it's even kid-friendly, which makes it a great option if you're not just going out solo or with friends. I've been coming around since back when it was Iguana Kelly's, and it's been cool to see how the place has evolved while still keeping that local, neighborhood feel. The location is super easy to find, right next to a donut shop and a mechanic, and across the street you've got a 7-Eleven, Subway, and a few other small spots. Plus, Tommy's Burgers and an Arco are right nearby, so everything you might need is within reach. I tried both the cucumber mixed drink and the mango mixed drink, both were really good, but I personally preferred the cucumber one. It's less sweet and way more refreshing, especially if you're not into overly sugary drinks. We also had a BBQ chicken pizza that they cook in a fire oven (I think it's called a wood-fired pizza), and it was really good, definitely worth trying if you go. Service was good During the outdoor event, they had things set up really well, including a sign that read "21 and over beyond this point only," which helped keep things organized. They also had jumpers outside for the little ones to enjoy, along with tables and chairs so everyone could hang out comfortably. Parking can be a bit tight in their lot, but there's always street parking if you take a minute to read the signs. Overall, it's a great hangout spot with a welcoming atmosphere and something happening more often than not. Definitely worth checking out.

My boyfriend and I stopped by a while ago with our fur baby, and we had a pretty great time! The service from the staff was excellent, I forgot his name, but the cook was very friendly and hospitable. For appetizers, we decided on pretzels and chicken nachos. We originally thought the pretzel would be one of those big, soft pretzels with a side of cheese, but to our surprise, they came as traditional pretzels with a side of yellow sauce. The sauce tasted similar to Chick-fil-A sauce and paired well with them. The chicken nachos were really yummy as well! The inside of the bar isn't dog-friendly; however, they do have a small outdoor patio where fur babies are welcome. I will say, I wish the patio was a bit more spacious, as it felt like I was practically sitting with the people around me due to how tight the space was. The inside of the bar is also a bit cramped. Overall, I had a nice time at 49ers Tavern. I'd definitely come back for food and drinks again!

We used to stay until close and had great times(2014-2015) I've since moved into the area and looked at the 49er many times over the years for a chance to go. I finally went by myself after getting off of work. I sat at the bar and ordered a Guinness. This Guinness was served to me with 1/3 of it just being foam. The bartender said they were having issues with the tap/keg. After my second foamy Guinness I ordered a burger. The burger was alright, wasn't anything special but wasn't bad either. Experience could have been better. Service by the staff was good.

Reno Room is one of those Long Beach spots that reminds you why neighborhood bars still matter,…read moreespecially when the deals are this good. We came two nights in a row Monday and Tuesday and honestly the value here is hard to beat. Monday was all day happy hour with $3.50 well drinks which is crazy in 2026. At that price it's hard to complain about anything. The vibe was chill, service was good, and they had all the games on, so it was an easy place to post up. They also had TouchTunes going with a solid music mix which made the whole night feel relaxed and fun. We grabbed some food too. Got a bean and cheese burrito and added some asada on the side. The food was decent nothing that's going to blow your mind, but it did the job and we had zero complaints. For the price it felt like a steal to get drinks and food without feeling like you just got taxed for existing. We came back Tuesday to check out Taco Tuesday and again the value was ridiculous. $1.95 tacos and $7.50 Don Julio reposado shots? Come on you're not finding that in most places anymore. Same deal as Monday, the food isn't "best tacos in the city" level, but it's solid, satisfying, and perfect for what this place is. Overall Reno Room isn't trying to be fancy and that's exactly why it works. Great prices, good service, sports on, good music, and a classic Long Beach bar vibe. It's easy to see why it's been a staple in the community for so long.

This is one of the first places I went to when I moved to the area because my best friend lives in Long Beach and this is her go to neighborhood spot. Every time I go, she introduces me to another person that she knows from Long Beach and the bartenders and this is really the type of spot where everyone knows your name and it's a really good friendly atmosphere to be in. Moving aside from that, the happy hour prices are chef's kiss! Additionally, they're Mexican food to honest surprise is delicious. I had a five dollar chicken chimichanga a couple months ago and I haven't stopped talking about it yet!

1 Star - Worst Experience I've Ever Had at a Bar…read more I've been to The Blind Donkey in downtown Long Beach before but what happened last night deserves to be shared. I came here with a friend last night and ordered a blonde beer that tasted completely off -- it genuinely tasted like blue cheese. My friend encouraged me to ask for a replacement since something was clearly wrong with it. When she brought it to the bar, the bartender told her he'd replace it and that it was on the house, but then made her pay for the second drink anyway. If I had known she'd still be charged, I would've just not asked for another drink. When I came up to the bar to clarify why she paid for something he said was comped, the bartender backtracked and said he "didn't mean" that. I asked if they could void the second charge, since this was supposed to be a simple replacement. He kept explaining that he is charging us for this second one because it was not a blonde, it was a white ale. I told him that's fine, but why did he say it was "on the house" and now charging us anyway? He ended up bringing over the manager. The manager was a short, Latino man with a hat on. He was incredibly rude from the moment he arrived explaining the beer was a blonde- which I know what I ordered, but tasted whack. He didn't look at us, didn't listen to anything we were saying, and without asking a single question he grabbed both drinks we paid for and dumped them down the drain. We were stunned -- we paid for both of them and now had nothing. When he came back, I calmly told him we paid for both drinks he just threw out. His response? "Don't expect to come here and get free drinks." Which is wild considering we never asked for anything free -- we were just trying to get the mistaken charge fixed. When I told him he needed to void the drink he dumped, he called security on us. We weren't loud, drunk, or confrontational. Security refused to give us the manager's name, and only one finally whispered "Ken," though at that point it felt like they were just saying anything to get us out the door. I've worked in customer-facing roles before. I understand dive bars aren't known for luxury service, but this wasn't about service -- it was about basic respect, integrity, and not charging customers for drinks you throw away yourself. I'm leaving this review as a Long Beach local, it's saddening to see how a popular bar like The Blind Donkey treats their customers. This was the worst experience I've ever had.

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots.
