    1/2 Corned Beef Sandwich & Fry's
    John C.

Ordered a lunch delivery on GrubHub from KC Branigan's pub I chose the half of corn beef sandwich with fries? The corn beef is definitely an Irish corn beef versus a deli, corned beef. The corned beef has a much more beef flavor, and not a heavy garlic flavor, which I really enjoyed. The corn beef is very lean and has a hardy chew to it. They give you a hearty amount of beef on the sandwich. The Ryebread is delicious. The french fries are cooked extremely well and delicious taste. I would definitely order the 1/2 sandwich again .

Best garlic bread of my life!

Come visit KC's for amazing food and getting treated like family. Everything is house made and delicious. The bartenders do an amazing job. It's a great place for good service and escaping the crowds.

Good Irish pub in Long Beach...seafood dinners on Friday night were very good, the swordfish was delish!!! The ahi was very good as well but would've preferred it whole instead of sliced....the mashed potatoes and veggies were also excellent...good selection of beers and mixed drinks as well...ambiance is a traditional Irish pub, decent enough but not great...the service was okay, not great as the server was unsure of a few things on the menu....would return for the food if in area as it was definitely a surprise!! RECOMMEND

Cool Irish pub on second street. A very nice atmosphere and decent pub food. They have great staff that are always welcoming and nice when we arrive. It seems to be very very busy and then some days just completely empty. In any case the value for money is absolutely there. I will definitely go again when I want a nice beer and some pub food. This time we ordered the veggie burger which was great. Will definitely come back!!

My husband and I dropped off the kids at a sailing class through LB Parks and Rec. we walked from Leeway to KC Brannigans to get breakfast. Oh my word...it was an amazing decision. It has been a very long time since I have been there and I think I only drank. Why why why have I slept on this for so long? First, my husband got an Irish Coffee and I got the most unique drink: the Pancake Breakfast Shot. This was butterscotch schnapps and Jameson shooter (tastes like a pancake with syrup), a shooter of orange juice, and a piece of bacon. This was soooo fun! Next, I ordered a breakfast burrito, my husband an eggs Benedict. Breakfast burritos are kind of my thing. This was a delightful classic breakfast burrito filled with eggs and your choice of three ingredients. I chose avocado, cheese, and bangers. Wow...it was so solid. Toasted in the outside, filled with perfectly cooked eggs, and served with a side of potatoes. Again, very solid! The eggs Benedict...made me want to cry...it was so so so so so so perfectly cooked with a rich Hollandaise sauce. Even the English muffin was delicious. Usually the English muffin is a throw away, you hardly think about it. Not here. It was so fluffy and spongy. And our server was so great. She took our order, chatted with us, and made us feel very welcomed. This is a classic Irish bar: dark, solid wooden furniture, soccer matches on all the of the TVs, and locals who seemed to be loving life. My only mistake was not coming here sooner. Don't make the same mistake I did.

Stopped in here with the boyfriend since we were leaving the beach, and it seemed to be one of the few places that wasn't overrun with people on Mother's Day. In fact, it was on the quiet side in this dark wood-paneled Irish pub when we arrived around 4 PM. We were not acknowledged at all, when we came in, and stood around for a few minutes until we took matters into our own hands, and sat at a table by the window. The goal was to just grab a quick drink and a few appetizers. It took about 10 minutes for the waitress to come and take our drink orders. She came back with the drinks, set them down, and never returned. Ever. We sat there like idiots for at least 20 minutes and no one acknowledged us at all. I also noticed that the wait staff was drinking on the job. The blonde waitress who had served us was sipping out of a small glass of dark liquid. Not too appropriate to be drinking on the job, is it?? We finally got tired of being treated like Mr. and Mrs. Invisible. Finished our drinks, boyfriend got up and went over to the bar, paid the tab, and we left. I've been reading the reviews that their food is pretty good. Shame that we never got to try it.

Service was attentive, friendly and quick. Food delicious and comforting. Came on Tuesday night for King Trivia w/Sara(h?) and had a blast! Traditional Irish pub decor with local vibe and very relaxing.

Went with friends to election watch party. Kristina Duggan, who is running for District 3 City Council hosted the party. This is an neighborhood bar. Reminds me of CHEERS. Everyone knows everyone's name. Huge selection of beer and wine and other alcoholic beverages (after all it is a bar). They also have a great menu selection. Many screens throughout so stop on in to watch your favorite sporting events.

Came here with hubby on our own and then another time with our kids in tow. They have kids menu but it's a nice Irish Pub feel to the place a feels grown up and family friendly at the same time. Beers are a little limited but I like Smithwick's so I'm good with that. You have to try their curry and fries. Seriously so good!! The service is good and the staff are friendly.

I had the worst, dried out, corned beef sandwich ever. They need to take tips from Katella Deli.

And since we first walked through the doors, we were in love. In love with the atmosphere, the perfectly pulled pints, the food (Dear God the Corned Beef Sandwich is a religious experience! ) and the characters of the staff. We've spent many occasions and life's moments here as well, From birthday dinners to at one time making it out Sunday Supper place to catch a traditional set and our dinner. The Sunday musicians are so good back in 2012 we hired a few to play at our engagement party, and brought a bit of the Auld Dub into our home. Today was no different, popped In for a family birthday celebration and stayed for a Sunday set. The music was fabulous the food amazing and the staff excellent! Ordered the usual: Curry Chips (cooked extra Well Done), and the best corned beef sandwich this side of the Atlantic! It's served perfectly on a crunchy swirled rye bread with an amazing apple jam of apples and caramelized onions. Just excellent! We also ordered an Irish Full Breakfast, which my soul craves every now and then! Basically you can't go wrong eating here.

You want someone who is friendly and respectful. As we were there early, we grabbed one of the beer which they have quite a good selection on tap. There's also wine if you're not into beer. When it came time to grab some food, we were able to get a table inside. Majority of the breweries tends to serve pretty much the same things, pizza sandwiches and salads. No complaints here. Simple food goes a long way. There were a couple of us so we grabbed a few things to share. Started off with the pretzel balls with cheese dip and honey mustard and the chips with queso cheese dip. Pretzel was tasty and outdid the queso dip. Pizzas of course which were pretty big in sizes. A couple of the pizzas and a salad did four of us with leftovers. Their Hawaiian pizza was quite tasty and was finished. We also ordered one of the mushroom pizzas with an egg. It was tasty but a little on the salty side. The arugula salad was delicious. Simple but tasty. And then there was ham pizza I believe with onions and peppercini. That was also a favorite of the night. Overall, the place was quite fun. Not a big brewery and more intimate. The crowd was great and as most places are very kid and family friendly. There was couple of kids when we arrived. Service was great. 1 Star - Worst Experience I've Ever Had at a Bar…read more I've been to The Blind Donkey in downtown Long Beach before but what happened last night deserves to be shared. I came here with a friend last night and ordered a blonde beer that tasted completely off -- it genuinely tasted like blue cheese. My friend encouraged me to ask for a replacement since something was clearly wrong with it. When she brought it to the bar, the bartender told her he'd replace it and that it was on the house, but then made her pay for the second drink anyway. If I had known she'd still be charged, I would've just not asked for another drink. When I came up to the bar to clarify why she paid for something he said was comped, the bartender backtracked and said he "didn't mean" that. I asked if they could void the second charge, since this was supposed to be a simple replacement. He kept explaining that he is charging us for this second one because it was not a blonde, it was a white ale. I told him that's fine, but why did he say it was "on the house" and now charging us anyway? He ended up bringing over the manager. The manager was a short, Latino man with a hat on. He was incredibly rude from the moment he arrived explaining the beer was a blonde- which I know what I ordered, but tasted whack. He didn't look at us, didn't listen to anything we were saying, and without asking a single question he grabbed both drinks we paid for and dumped them down the drain. We were stunned -- we paid for both of them and now had nothing. When he came back, I calmly told him we paid for both drinks he just threw out. His response? "Don't expect to come here and get free drinks." Which is wild considering we never asked for anything free -- we were just trying to get the mistaken charge fixed. When I told him he needed to void the drink he dumped, he called security on us. We weren't loud, drunk, or confrontational. Security refused to give us the manager's name, and only one finally whispered "Ken," though at that point it felt like they were just saying anything to get us out the door. I've worked in customer-facing roles before. I understand dive bars aren't known for luxury service, but this wasn't about service -- it was about basic respect, integrity, and not charging customers for drinks you throw away yourself. I'm leaving this review as a Long Beach local, it's saddening to see how a popular bar like The Blind Donkey treats their customers. This was the worst experience I've ever had.
