Perfect spot for all American food! They have a pretty good happy hour deal M-F. Can tell Riley's is a staple for locals. Pretty casual vibe - seat yourself. The food was good!! Got the buffalo wings, NY Pizza, and House Burger. Serving sizes were large and we had more than enough food for leftovers. Very nice servers. Had a positive experience here and would come back if I felt like some classic burger + wings.

I stopped by here with the pup for lunch after visiting the nearby dog beach. I was greeted with a friendly smile and the servers loved my dog. They automatically brought out a water bowl for him which was so nice. It was a beautiful day on the dog-friendly patio. I had the Steak Salad medium rare and it was delicious. It's a lively, casual friendly place. I found street parking in the residential area behind the restaurant.

I came here for bottomless mimosas on my birthday, and I will not be back! Originally, Riley's on 2nd was the plan because it was some of the cheapest bottomless mimosas we could find. It was very apparent they had to offer affordable bottomless mimosas because the food and service was below par. The waitresses were not very welcoming or helpful even though we let them know that this was our first time here. We asked for recommendations on what was popular to eat for brunch, to which she said the menu was pretty straightforward. We ended up getting a Bacon Brie Burger, Steak and Eggs, and Peanut Butter Maple Burger. Everything was super dry and flavorless.  There are plenty of other places to go in Long Beach, especially on 2nd Street alone. For bottomless mimosas with good food, I would recommend you to go to Mama's or Ellie's instead.

Our go to stop we went to after our marathon training. Staff were always friendly. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Clean. Spacious. Breakfast sandwich and steak and eggs were both delicious. I would order both of them again.

Love this place. Stopped in with family, ordered my usual a steak salad..which was so good. The service is always good here. Everything came out pretty quick definitely didn't wait long. We only sat out on the patio so I can't comment about inside the restaurant that day.. but outside was clean and I noticed the server coming out frequently to check on us and pick up and clean tables. Definitely recommend Riley's !

This spot was perfect to start the St Patrick's Day before heading next door. We waited a bit for them to order and sat outside during the beautiful day that it was. I had the classic meal with scrambled eggs, crispy bacon and diced potatoes. The sourdough bread that came with it was perfectly toasted and I didn't even need to ask for jam. They put plenty of melted butter on it and I was more than satisfied. My girlfriend had the short rib chilaquiles and enjoyed them a lot. I tried the meat and it was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. We ordered a glass of orange juice and they managed to turn it green. It was good orange juice and Clarice was great looking after us. I will definitely go back there and maybe stay around and have drinks, while watching football.

One of my favorite spots for food, just good, classic bar food that actually tastes delicious. The vibes are always good, the beer is cold. It's nothing fancy, just consistently great food and a spot you always feel comfortable in. Good people, good energy, and honestly, everything I've tried has been solid.

The establishment is a great place to try. Gonna start with one small improvement first , the reason so you can end this article on all the great points. Time to service was about 20 minutes and it was busy but felt that was a little long. Now all the great points, once served our server and what believe to be manager who checked on us were excellent , friendly and helpful. The food was perfect , from a hamburger , pizza to breakfast meal the party of 4 we had were all very satisfied. The portions excellent and the price wasn't bad for the LB. They have a full bar and had some football playing. Very good time !!! Will be back !!!

Sky was very attentive. I ordered some hibiscus margarita which was pretty good, but I don't really like tequila. So I ended up ordering an old-fashioned and it was pretty large inside. no the pizza was a bit dry. The meat was overcooked. We only had about one slice each from both pizzas. Now the smash burger, secret sauce meat was done perfectly. That was great. The wings are good, but the sauce needed more flavor. So they get three stars because the burger and the drinks were good. It would've been a five star, but Wood really made up the stars was the service by sky.

Yummmmy!! Prime Rib Dip, pancakes, House Burger, BBQ Bacon Burger

    Ask the Community - Riley’s on 2nd

    Is there a happy hour?

Yes we do. Monday- Friday 3-6pm All appetizers are $9 All pizzas are $11…

Are dogs welcome on the patio?

Yes dogs are welcome on our patio!

Do they do bottomless mimosas on Saturdays?

    Yes. Till 1.

Are bottomless mimosas only on weekends or are they available weekdays?

Only on weekends. They're not open for breakfast during the week.

Do they take reservations for large parties?

Riley's is not that formal of a place. I don't think you would ever need reservations. They usually put large parties in the back of the restaurant. You should go by and tell them your plans and see what they say.

    Any mimosas specials for Sunday?

All you can drink mimosas every Saturday and Sunday from 9:30-1 for $12 5 flavors!

Is Riley's doing anything different for Super Bowl Sunday?

If I remember correctly last year they let you pay to reserve a table for the whole game. Don't think they had specials on food or drinks. Call them and ask.

Do they still have sangria? I've called a few times but no one answers :(

    Yessss

    Do you have the dodgers?

Currently have the Dodgers on two Tvs. Working with charter to add boxes for four more tvs

Do they still offer 2 for 1 hamburgers on Mondays?

We do offer 2 for 1 burgers every Monday night from 7pm to close!

Is there a bottomless mimosas special on Sunday brunch still for $10 until 1pm?

    $12 till 1pm

Definitely worth it! The vibes are unmatched. It's a unique blend of "top notch cocktail crafting" and "beer and a hot pretzel after work." You can dress up, you can dress down, it's very 'just be yourself' which I love. I've literally had caviar AND hot dogs there in the same night at an event. They know how to blend high/low. Incredible knowledge and ingredients but not snooty patootie. Super inclusive and fun, with cool popups and events happening all the time. It's a full bar so you can get any cocktail you would normally order if you're keeping it simple, or beer, wine, boilermakers, etc. There's a span of offerings and price points, so something for everyone. (Also really good N/A cocktails!) The menu is super inventive and creative! And the cocktail menu changes out every so often so there are new things to try. This area is vintage vibes and Baby Gee speaks it fluently. Really cool decor, curated by the owners who design everything from the playlist to the cocktails to the invention of never-before-seen flavors and shapes of jello shots. Try the Baby Gee appletini while you're there. Mezcal, tequila, sake appletini you ask?? Yes. Trust. And get a hot dog. Do it.

It's clear the owners put a lot of thought and creativity into making their cocktails the centerpiece of the experience. That said, the execution didn't live up to the concept. The menu appears to rotate regularly, and while the drinks were certainly unique, most of the cocktails we tried were hit or miss. At roughly $22 per drink, I expected more balance and refinement. One cocktail started with flavors reminiscent of an Old Fashioned, but after the initial sip, the combination of bitters and fruit syrups created an unpleasant cough syrup like finish. We tried a mocktail as well, and it was mostly ice and soda water, with what seemed like a collection of syrups doing most of the heavy lifting. The drinks were creative, but many of the flavor profiles felt disjointed rather than intentional. The biggest issue, however, was the bar service and sanitation practices. I watched a bartender place a cucumber garnish into a glass using his bare hands, touching the entire garnish in the process. He then continued to take credit cards, cash, and other items before stuffing ice into additional drinks with his bare hands. Whether or not this technically violates health code standards, it certainly wasn't appetizing to watch and left a poor impression. Parking is another challenge. There is no dedicated parking, and unless you get lucky, expect to park several blocks away and walk. Overall, the atmosphere is a lot of fun and the cocktail menu is ambitious, but the drinks didn't justify the price point, and the sanitation concerns were hard to overlook. I wouldn't rush back, especially given the cost and parking difficulties.

Here you can actually taste the ingredients they describe and somehow work really well together. And it's not just one or two drinks that feel unique and interesting it's basically their whole menu. Most recent time we went was when they had a guest bartender (Polo Chang). Some of the best cocktails I've had recently. I'm a huge fan of tea in cocktail his menu was amazing. We got way more drinks than we usually do that night because each one was better than the last. Only thing tho I really wish they kept their old menu. The drawings were beautiful and it had so much character while very easily communicating how each drink will look and taste. It went so well with the overall vibe of the place. But I may just be nitpicking because I have hard time reading the new dark menu in the dim light lolol I honestly would come here wayyyy more often if it wasn't for the very limited parking. Even with reservation it feels like never a guarantee we will make it there because we may or may not be able to find parking. If you are lucky to be nearby highly recommend uber.

I was able to make a late dinner reservation for Saturday night about a week prior - reservations are definitely encouraged, as the bar was full the entire time we were there. Gaining access to the speakeasy was actually not that difficult, just ring the doorbell of the ornate floral door, beneath the lone lantern in the alley behind El Barrio Cantina. Parking though was a nightmare. I only realized when paying the bill that the two establishments are one and the same, and I could have very likely parked in the designated spots for El Barrio customers. The whole bar is a mood - lighting is dim and you don't get to see much beyond your table, which is good for those seeking privacy. One thing to note is that because the dining space is so small and intimate, it does get quite loud. The appetizers we tried were all good, with izakaya flare as promised. The charred edamame was extremely addicting, smothered in garlic soy and just the right amount of spicy from chili arbor. The Okonomi corn dog was a clever spin on okonomiyaki, bonito flakes and all. Finally, both the Yuzu and Wagyu rolls were fresh and perfect size bites of their respective fishes. I wish I could have sampled their entire cocktail menu! All the drinks sounded novel and unique, and featured their specially cut crystal clear ice. My Yuzu Strawberry blended the smokiness of the mezcal with the tangy sweetness from yuzu and strawberry perfectly. And the Peated Highball I ordered as my nightcap has to be my new favorite drink, adding a boldness to the Japanese cocktail staple. Only reason I took a star off my review was the abrupt service. Our waitress was not subtle about needing our table for the next reservation, asking to clear our plates when there was still food on it, and closing our check early to the point that the bartender had to come and charge us again for our last drink. Despite that, still strongly suggest checking out Tokyo Noir. Long Beach sadly doesn't have many speakeasies, but the ones that are here are at the top of their game.

The decor definitely reminded me of my grandparents' house in Taiwan, with vintage, ornate wooden chairs, dragon/lion statue carvings, and even a historic century old marital bed that had been repurposed into a booth. The drinks were also VERY unique, with my favorite being Hua sheng (literally meaning peanut), which was crafted from a nostalgic childhood peanut milk drink. All our cocktails were crafted very well, to the point where I thought they were a bit on the lighter side since I couldn't really taste the alcohol. This section does get really busy though and only had one bartender who is making/serving drinks and taking orders, so do expect a bit of a wait. I tried both the cucumber mixed drink and the mango mixed drink, both were really good, but I personally preferred the cucumber one. The gentleman politely said, these ladies were here first please take their order first, which the server did but was not so happy about. To our surprise the server still prepared his drinks first. The gentleman very surprised apologized since he knew we were there before him. With our drinks in hand we found a table with some empty seats. The table side where we sat had a sprite glass bottle and a glass that hadn't been picked up since the last party left. We moved it a side to set our drinks and finally enjoy our conversation. A different server came to the table and asked the gentleman next to us to get his empty glass and she completely ignored our side. She did another round and I finally asked her to pick up the bottle that was left by another party before us. I asked her for the menu again, she brought it but she did say that I had go back up to the bar to order any additional drinks. We decided to not order a second round and head up to the terrace.

The bartender who is also the barista was so welcoming. I love the historical aspect of this building and they did an incredible job with the maintenance of it. The marble and gold and earthly tones which are deep and rich! Sigh! They're open til 10pm... I'll be back

Very seldomly do you have a business owner care about their brand, open to constructive feedback with the willingness to implement change that leads to a positive outcome. Angel's Share will be introducing a soft launch of new appetizers and I believe drinks! Not too busy of a night until deep into the evening where the crowd picked up and dishes were flowing out the kitchen. Cajun shrimp was extremely flavorful with the spinach in the middle. I suggest adding a hint more of garlic to wake up the spinach melody. Keep in mind we had no clue that the spinach was to added on top of the Shrimp similar to a one biter. Either way... it was Fire! The garlic bread was pretty good. Needed a pinch more of garlic salt and a minute longer in the salamander oven! The Cajun pasta needed a hint more of Cajun seasoning. If it's in the cards you could even elevate the dish by adding 1 Cajun shrimp on the top or spoon full of crawfish tossed in Cajun seasonings and butter! Also wake up your base with heavy cream to make the sauce dance on all the noodles. Now keep in mind there's a lot of of us who think that we're top chefs or we all like things a certain way but what I do know is that the pasta once it gets perfected I know for sure it will be a hit. I'll be back for the soft launch of the new menu and appetizers. Again, thank you for extending the invite Jack.

For starters, we got the Parker House Rolls, which comes with truffle butter, local citrus honey, and grana padano cheese. These rolls were so fluffy and flavorful. We also ordered the hummus, which was so rich and creamy, and the oysters from the raw bar. For the main, we ordered the Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop, Fish & Chips, and the Wedge salad to share. And let me tell you, that everything was so good. The Smoked & Glazed Pork Chop came with a whole show, where staff would bring out the dish in a smoke-infused glass dome and open the dome when presented on the table so we can smell and see all the smoke. Not only was it beautiful to look at, but it tasted just as beautifully. The meat was melt-in-your-mouth tender, and the rainbow swiss chard, cheddar grits, candied pecans, and avocado honey helped balance out all the juiciness from the meat. They use haddock fillet for the Fish & Chips, which was fried to perfection. The Wedge Salad is what actually knocked my socks off! This was one of the best wedge salads that I've ever had. It had your key ingredients: iceberg, buttermilk dressing, red onion, crumbled egg, tomato, bacon gastrique, blue cheese, dill, chives - but something about this salad was different! It was so refreshing, flavorful--just everything you want in a dish. We ended the dining experience with their Peach Cobbler Hand Pie, which came with streusel, pistachio crumble, salted caramel, and vanilla ice cream. Can't wait to go back when I'm in the area!

Great atmosphere, service workers seem to be content as well, love that.
