I came here to try their breakfast menu and it's okay! Their breakfast burrito was highly recommended to me, but I found it very plain and boring. It wasn't even like a classic done well. Sorry, love Anna's but this was not it! I would get your breakfast burritos elsewhere and stop by Anna's for lunch/dinner/fun treat.

Cool spot! I've stopped by here a couple of times, sometimes for wine, a delicious sandwhich, and most recently for coffee/ breakfast! The service is fast and good, they have good food options as well and it's always a nice and relaxed vibe. Perfect for a chill day.

Drove by this spot one evening after catching a movie with a friend, and for a "deli" it sure was poppin! Last week, I made it a point to order from them through DoorDash and walked over during my break... Let me tell you (and it probably is no secret) that my sandwich was next level! I ordered the Turk-Ado Aioli which is a turkey sandwich that includes shredded iceberg & arugula, avocado spread, herbed aioli, tomato & swiss cheese. I selected the sourdough bread (all their bread comes from Hey Brother Baker which I think is very neat). I also added their Elote Cesar salad without the cotija and it was so delicious and fresh. You can tell they really use quality ingredients. There are two parts to the Joint; the corner is a bar/deli with in-house seating at the counter/bar and a couple of small tables, and they have a variety of beers on tap. Right next door is where you can pick up mobile orders. It's set up as a little market/bottleshop where you can pick up snacks, refrigerated goods and all sorts of canned craft beers. I'll probably make it a point to try many of the sandwiches with different breads I'll also need to go after work hours/during the weekend to try the different beers they have on tap and in the fridges.

Gourmet sandwiches and cool vibes! Good for lunch dates. What we ate: boyfriend got the pastrami on sourdough & loved it. Tuna (Venetian) was excellent. Half sizes are good portion for light lunch. Macaroni salad was great! High quality ingredients. Service: picked up to go, but was ready at the time they estimated. Parking: street parking mostly. There are public lots nearby with 2 hours free. Ambiance: cute and super hip. Price: steeper than subway for sure, but it's much better tasting and quality. $9 for half sandwich.

I'm still thinking about the sandwich I had here. If I lived in Long Beach this place would absolutely be my go to sandwich place. The sourdough bread and herb aioli were just perfection. Staff was super friendly. There are two sides of the restaurant you can order and eat on. Both indoor and outdoor seating available. Street parking only is the only downside.

After the Convention Center I was looking for a good chicken sandwich and I found this restaurant nearby. The service was friendly and the restaurant is inviting and cozy. I got a chicken sandwich that was exactly the pick me up I needed. They have a good beer selection. I got a non-alcoholic IPA this time and it did not disappoint.

Did I mention they also sell plants??

Thank goodness this place is here! My partner and I practically ate here everyday for a month when we first moved to downtown Long Beach- and we've continued to come back ever since! The quality of the food, the unique selection of carefully curated items in the store section, and the amazing staff make this spot a much-needed gem in DTLBC. I definitely recommend downloading the TOAST to earn some points when you become a regular! Check out their bar and sandwiches spot next door as well- highly recommend the Nashville Hot Honey sandwich! Shoutout to Richard and Emilia who took great care of us today- but kudos to all their staff! Always a pleasure to come here :)

Anna's Joint has a casual, fun, and welcoming vibe with a neighborhood feel. The small bar-diner interior and outdoor seating make it easy to settle in, and the weekday events like karaoke, game nights, and paint & sip add a great community touch. Food was solid overall. The whipped feta dip was a standout--creamy, flavorful, and served with perfectly toasted fresh bread. The salt & vinegar tater tots might be the best I've ever had. Chicken wings were mid, but the little meatballs were tasty. One of the ladies dining with me-FOF-had the beef dip, which was massive and satisfying. The menu offers plenty of variety, so there's something for everyone. Service was friendly and fast, with a bartender/server who kept things moving. The crowd is mostly locals who clearly love the place. It's not mind-blowing, but definitely a great spot to relax, eat well, and feel part of the neighborhood.

    Bodega breakfast burrito, matcha latte

Very happy that I've been able to try Anna's recently. I've walked past many times. It's been on the list for a while! I've only ordered online, so I can't speak to the in person experience. However, my orders have all been so good. First, I love the variety in the menu. Lots of options! So far, I've tried the Bodega breakfast burrito, iced matcha latte with honey + oatmilk, and the Spicy Mo Yo, Sticky Bird, and Neo BLT sandwiches. I've also tried the salt and vinegar tots and the brussle sprouts. The matcha latte was ok, but the breakfast burrito was one of the best. I'm usually not a breakfast burrito person because there's usually away too many eggs or potatoes for my liking. I felt this had ingredients perfectly distributed and was hearty, but not greasy and too heavy. Everything tasted fresh. All the sandwiches were great. I honestly think the bread quality and in-house sauces seal the deal for . They have unique additions to their sandwiches that make them one of a kind. That BLT is not your average BLT! Ultimately, I look forward to trying other items over time because I've yet to be disappointed.

Anna's Joint in Long Beach is a cafe, pub, and deli all in one! Drop by for delicious sandwiches and an amazing vibe Strawberry Matcha : Not my favorite. It definitely needed some sort of sweetener, it was too bitter. Turk-Ado Aioli Sandwich : Delcious! Loved the flavor, a simple classic turkey sandwich that you can't go wrong ordering. Also I loved how you can choose your bread for any sandwich. Whipped Feta Dip : the perfect appetizer, the bread was fresh perfectly toasted. The feta was so good!

    #9 Spicy Mo, Yo
    Amy T.

The person who created this sandwich climbed into my brain and picked all of my favorite things and put them all into one sandwich. The #9 Spicy Mo, Yo has turkey and salami (my favorite sandwich meat combo), smoked gouda (my favorite cheese), iceberg and caesar (my favorite salad), pepperocini, pickles, pickled red onions, and arugula (various other sandwich toppings i enjoy). After the first bite I knew this had made the right choice. I tried a bite of the De Rossi, the burrata was magical. If I would change anything about my sandwich it would just to be to add burrata because who doesn't love burrata on sandwiches. The icing on the cake was their selection of breads, I chose focaccia (my favorite type of bread). The focaccia was so fluffy and delicious, it is a top tier sandwich bread. I think their breads are baked in house, they are available to purchase individually. The market has a lot of alcoholic beverage options but when I went to buy a wine spritzer I was told I wasn't allowed to drink it on premises so I grabbed a sparkling apple juice instead. The baked goods case was very very intriguing, I would definitely give the sticky toffee blondie a try next time... Their munchie menu options also sound delectable... I guess i'll have to come back.

The selection offers great variety, and because seating is limited, it's very much a first-come, first-served situation, arrive early if you want a seat. There's some indoor seating, with more available outside. The wine servers were friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable, which made the experience even better. They also host food vendors. There is a sushi spot right next door which is conveniently located next to the theater where you can score discounted bottles if you're catching a movie. Located off the fun Retro Row on Fourth St. with the last Friday event happening, we noticed a good amount of people walking in and there was a security guard out front. There was also a corner that hosted a live band. When we arrived, no one was playing yet. The crowd seemed to be more of the younger hipster vibe. A completely different crowd from the LA scenes. Getting a drink wasn't that bad even though it was busy. I happened to get lucky when someone moved from the bar stool for me to approach. I was a little surprised when the wine I ordered was in a box...lol... I mean, it was whatever. Some options were for a glass only or for both a glass or bottle. But when it came to checking out, tipping options went from 20 25 percent to 30 percent. Wasn't used to that as an option as it's not like you're dinning in. Anyway, the surprise was when we walked out and seen that they had a massive back patio. It was hard finding a seat as it was packed. There was also a food trunk on deck but wasn't sure what they were serving. We noticed people with hotdogs and someone with a box of pizza. Not sure if it's from the vendor or if you're allowed outside food in. The vibe was fun, the crowd was lively and everyone there for a good time. It's more of a younger scene.
