First time at this location. I ordered online for pick up, a cheeseburger, a Smoke Shack and a order of fries. No red peppers on the Smoke Shack. Of course the red peppers were on there. They were scraped off but it was unpleasant and inexcusable. I also checked the box for condiments, utensils and napkins. None were included. My cheeseburger was good but I saw the irritation due to the peppers. Generally I don't like crinkle cut fries but these were very good. Beware the parking is TERRIBLE! Also the window for online orders was slammed and disorganized. Bags and bags of food were just sitting there with the top of the bags left exposed. Decided to try out Shake Shack for the first time last week. We like the covered patio area and even though it was hot in Pasadena, it wasn't bad at all at 11:30. We both got the basic Shake Burger, fries, and a shake. The burgers were good, juicy and flavorful but a little on the small size for the price we felt. The fries were really good and so was the shake. We ordered through the app which was good because a bunch of tourists were getting off a bus and lining up inside. Ordered curbside pickup for dinner tonight. Very busy on a Monday evening and the parking lot was full (with all curbside spots already occupied). As a vegetarian, I love that they have so many veggie options here! I ordered the veggie shack with 2 veggie patties, and some fries. They didn't put avocado on it, which was a bit annoying but it tasted good nonetheless. The veggie shack tastes very fresh and is unique to other (fast) food joints. It's clearly their own recipe and is packed with healthy grains and veggies, which I love. I personally prefer theirs to impossible, beyond meat etc... But if you're wanting an impossible burger or something similar, you won't get that here. My boyfriend ordered the double bacon cheeseburger with shack sauce, and their spicy cheese fries. He had 0 complaints, and prefers their burgers to all other fast food joints in the area. A lot of Californians love in n out, but he thinks that Shake shack is far superior-- which says a lot. We both loved our meal so much! I'm glad we could both enjoy this dinner together despite our dietary differences. My goodness you are harsh. They make a really tasty burger for a very reasonable price. That's 5 stars any day. Stick with the truffle burger and fries and a nice beverage of your choice and you can't go wrong. Alcohol at a fast food place? Yes but beer and wine only but also at a reasonable price. I LOVE SHAKE SHACK!!! There are many reasons why I absolutely adore Shake Shack, but the main reason would definitely be because of their shroom patty. I find that their meat patty is pretty tasty and higher quality than most burger chains, but it's definitely on the pricey side so I can see how most people tend to think that it isn't worth it to go here. However, I can definitely say that the price is 100% worth it if you order anything with the cheesy shroom patty. As for other menu items, I can't really speak much on those because I've only ever ordered the Shack Stack every time I've come to Shake Shack because it's just that good. Their fries are always delicious as well and you can't go wrong with them. Additionally, honorable mention to their ketchup, I'm not even a fan of ketchup but theirs just hits different. It has the perfect balance of tanginess and sweetness and pairs so well with their crispy fries! And don't forget to ask for Shack sauce, herb mayo, and pickles on the side (it's free)! Popped in 2 days ago for dinner - outdoor dining with the hubby, upon arriving, there was no one at the register, we were told that we should order thru the kisoks, so payment was credit card only. I got ShakeBurger - Single, Hubs got SmokeShack, we shared Bacon Cheese Fries and 1 fountain drink, total came out to be $23 ish. I enjoyed my burger, I felt it was smaller then before because it wasn't very filling for me, which I knew for a fact that the hubs wasn't full either. I should have gone with the double since I was hungry. The Bacon Cheese Crinkle fries was as good as I remembered, and I would highly recommend always getting a cheese fries to share. Outdoor dining area was clean ish, I think they only get the chance to wipe down when its slow. They have a decent amount of tables outside to cater to a small rush. While we were dining, I did notice that they do online and phone orders, people are able to go in or to the side window to pick up their food. There is also dining inside, it also seems like the tables inside could only seat 2 people only. The bigger tables are all outside. Bathroom - being prego, I literally take a pee break at every stop, their bathroom was clean. Price - seems to be a bit more expensive, the hubs and I were thinking that with $23, we could have gotten combos at In and Out. Way nicer experience than I expected. My hopes were high due to the countless recommendations from my friends and family. Went with my wifey & 3 adult daughters! It was amazing. The staff was nice and assisted us with clearing off 3 tables from a group that left as we entered. My biggest concern was not being able to get a table. The Pasadena location has a small dinning area for folks like myself that do not want to take the food to go. I wanted to east my food as it came out of the kitchen. They did not disappoint. The burgers were pretty darn close to a homemade burger. Juicy, seasoned just enough without going overboard. We also ordered cheese fries: crunchy, fluffy, and loaded with their bacon cheese sauce. Very fun and worth the effort. Overall, they more than met my high bar set for a tasty hamburger. Juicy, yet not soggy. I've had good burger joints over the years but sadly Shake Shack doesn't fit that criteria. I don't understand what made this place popular for all these and I decided to try it out for myself since I was disappointed the first time back in Soho. Unfortunately, my opinion hasn't changed a bit because these burgers aren't worth all the hype whatsoever. It feels like I'm just eating a bland piece of meat on a bun and is mostly just good with the Shack sauce and nothing else. The Shack Stack I thought was pretty bad because of the shroom party in the middle with all that heavy cheese which feels very fattening. The Parmesan Cheese Fries didn't help either cause one it has a very strong smell and the fries aren't really much in flavor even with the Truffle sauce; which is good for while, but it eventually looses its complexity. The only thing I really like was my Shake because that's what I always been a fan of and still searching for the best milkshake I'll ever taste. RAW HAMBURGER PATTY!!! I ate half the burger before I realized that the inside of the burger patty was raw and pink. I have health issues where I have to be careful about not eating raw meats, fish or even deli meats. I don't want to live in fear for days after consuming a potentially unsafe hamburger patty that was not even cooked to Shake Shacks standard of medium well (according to the manager I talked to)....meaning no pink. My family has eaten their regularly since this store opened in Pasadena. In the future I will have to cut all my burgers in half before eating them. I haven't had a problem with the doneness of my burger until recently so I will give Shake Shack another try but there are so many other burger places in Pasadena. I don't want to feel that I am jeopardizing my health every time I eat at Shake Shack Pasadena. I recently had a family member, who is in their 20's, hospitalized for 3 days after eating a beef dish at a fast food place in LA. 5 months later their gut still isn't completely normal. Raw ground beef needs to be cooked thoroughly in a fast food situation. One of the worst restaurant experiences of my lifetime. The order consisted of two burgers, one order of fries, and two drinks and the total slightly rounded up was $50...incredible. I also had trouble getting to an attendant at the pick up window who also had a negative attitude. How could the experience get worse? The flimsy paper bag they placed the order in broke on the way to the car, they failed to deliver the eating utensils as requested, and when I got home I discovered the food delivered was not what I ordered.
