3.4 stars I used to love Five Guys, but it has been a long time since I've been to one. I didn't know they had combos now starting at $13.99. I just got my usual of cheeseburger, fries, and a drink. The fries took me by surprise, since all the Five Guys used to put a small cup in the bag and fill the bag up with fries. Annnddd I could have sworn, fhe fries used to seasoned...like a cajun seasoning or something....am I misremembering? Anyways, burger was alright. I also thought the consistency of the cheese isn't the same as before...again, not sure if I'm misremembering things. I'm not a fan of the Coca Cola Freestyle machine anywhere b/c the sodas just intermingle with the other flavors. Anyways, the manager and staff were all very nice and welcoming. My wife and I had gift cards for Five Guys and decided to use them today. We're regulars at our local Habit so we know what we like. We both enjoyed our experience at this Five Guys location. The customer service was excellent as the person who took our order accommodated my wife's drink request (ice cream to make her own root beer float). The food was prepared as we ordered and delivered to our table promptly. We both thought the burgers were delicious and flavorful. Compared to the Habit and In and Out, they were better in our estimation. The free roasted peanuts were a nice treat. The fries were plentiful and tasty but slightly greasy. It was my first time trying this Five Guys location. The food took a while, but they were very busy when I went. I took advantage of a buy one get one free burger coupon on the app, and I'm glad it was available because $14.99 for a bacon cheeseburger is pretty steep. I got my boyfriend a bacon cheeseburger and ordered one for myself in a bowl without the bun. I like that they offer the bowl option since I'm trying to reduce my carb intake. My order was delicious. I got it with grilled onions, mushrooms, jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce, relish, and pickles. I asked for ketchup, mustard, and mayo, but they didn't put them on the burger, so I ended up asking for them on the side. For the bowl option, I do wish they added more veggies. I also love the free peanuts here. The shells are salty and the peanuts are really crunchy. I don't go to Five Guys often because I think it's pretty pricey, but I had a positive experience at this location. I'd come back again if they have promotions like the BOGO. read more

I used to get it pretty often when I lived in the northeast bc there was no in n out! lol But when I'm not in the mood to wait in an in-n-out lately.. and if my better half isn't making burgers at home, Five guys is a solid choice Food ordered = * CHEESEBURGER -- 12.99 for a cheeseburger (they call it a cheeseburger but it actually comes with 2 patties, a double quarter pounder )and unlimited toppings. --For the size, freshness and quality- it's not a bad deal when it's just you dining! You get to pick as many toppings and they cook it right when you order with an open kitchen. It may take awhile if it's lunch time but still worth it for the quality *I usually grab this to go and noticed a bunch of adult guys while I was waiting ordering their special - they have a special for 13.99$ which is a "little" burger + little fry and drink. Drove over here from West Covina because we no longer have one and took it back home to eat and it was still good the burgers were warmed up in the oven and fries and tasted amazing still. I have always been a bit ashamed at never having tried Five Guys, but when I did, boy was I in love! Sure gives In n Out a run for its money and no crazy wait times! Burgers and fries are made fresh when you order and I would definitely recommend t getting the Cajun fries. Mmm my mouth is watering just thinking about it! The difference between the junior and regular is not bun size, but whether you want a single patty or double. I get the junior bacon with bbq sauce and it is sooooo yummy! I had a very strange experience here.... You should always listen to your gut. I came in on 9/2/2025 at around 11:30 AM and ordered a burger. I ate my order, then headed to the restroom to wash my hands. When I opened the door, I CUT MY HAND on the door's sheet metal - because the sheet metal's edge is pointed up by the door handle. This is a sharp edge. If you look at the pictures that I posted, you can see exactly what I'm talking about. This completely freaked me out. To make it worse, when I inspected the door, I could see what seemed to be blood. Here is the weird part: i don't think it was my blood; the pattern on the door was not consistent with my wound - it was so strange, and is honestly giving me awful thoughts. To add insult to injury, the burger was not good - both buns were very soggy. I'm not even sure how that could be because I grabbed the burger as soon as it came out. A few hours later, around 3:30 PM, I started getting a stomachache and having to go to the bathroom repeatedly. (Sorry for the TMI) When I walked into this place, I distinctly remember the little voice in my head saying," Don't eat here, it seems off, go next door to Mendocino".... The order taker was condescending and did not explain the menu to us first-timers well. Everything is a La carte. Great for those who like foot high burgers and add-ons. Bad for those who have teens who just want the basics. 1st time customer, craving a good burger tonight and only 10 minute walk from my place. Like the cult of Howlin' Rays, the cult of Five Guys is just that -- the faithfuls will tell you it's the best ever and don't mind the high price-to-portion ratio. I disagree. The beef patties are cooked to order, not microwaved (nothing wrong in itself), and taste very juicy and fresh -- BUT bland. It's missing that grilled smoky hickory wood flavor that a great burger should have. My cheeseburger has 1 slice of cheese, 1 patty and 2 skinny buns for $11. If you added a milkshake it would be over $20. It's no longer enough to justify high price for the best quality meat (you can get 'best quality' everywhere now) if the taste isn't there. Healthy and qualty do not have to mean boring taste. Five Guys just tase boring. I'm no fan of the cult of In-N-Out either but at least their burgers look more appetizing and are cheaper. I know every Five Guys location in CA is a failure. I sometimes come here and used to go to the Burbank location because I like the food and it's nostalgic to me because they have it in the Midwest where I grew up. It used to be very affordable. The pricing now is nothing less than price gouging for what you get and the quality of meat and general burgers has elevated. You can get a gourmet feast for half the price and twice the customer service down the road at The Stand. Today I went in. I was hustled into something called the "classic combo." I filled my soda, sat down in the always empty restaurant, and waited patiently for my order. I was a dumb dumb and accidentally knocked my small cup over and spilled soda everywhere and all over my clothes. I walked up to the counter soaked in soda. The man who hustled me into the combo. Who I tipped mind you bc I figured he was having a bad day and you should always tip service workers. Rolled his eyes and began complaining he had to clean something up. Reasonable. BUT. I asked three times for napkins as I was soaked in sticky soda. They had stacks of them behind the counter and cleaning rags dry and with sanitizer. And she basically told me to go dry off in the bathroom with the toilet paper. I had to wait a longer period for my food. I was not allowed to have another cup for soda. I guess my drink privileges were taken away. And I just left embarrassed and soaking wet. I threw away the cursed food and sat in my car soaked in soda. Again all my fault. But like. Why can't a customer use a napkin to clean themselves in a completely empty customerless restaurant when he is drenched in soda? Idk dude. Maybe the workers lack human empathy? I did spill on myself. Five Guys makes the best quality fast food hamburger. Period! According to Five Guys, they don't define themselves as fast food. I would tend to agree as they don't cook them in a microwave like McDonald's and other fast food burger chains. They are cooked to order. Prepare yourself to wait longer than other burger chains, but it is well worth the wait. It's much more expensive for a burger here than other chains. I wish it was more affordable. After you are done ordering a burger, large fries and a large drink. It costs nearly $20 for one person. To be fair, the fries are big enough to share no matter what size you order. I like how they offer malt vinegar as condiment to put on your French fries. Pro tip: It tastes good especially with some ketchup as well. The French fries are high quality fries My favorite is the Cajun fries. They are to die for. I ordered a Bacon Cheeseburger All the Way without mushrooms. I literally demolished it in less than 2 1/2 minutes. It was too delicious. We all agreed that Five Guys makes the best fast food burger. In-n-out is a close second, but no one can touch Five Guys' quality and consistency. They have a coke machine where you can try all different kinds of flavors of your favorite sodas. They have several holiday flavors you can try such as Coca Cola Vanilla Swirl, Sprite Vanilla Frost and Coca Cola Cream Soda. I think the Sprite Vanilla Frost is the best of the holiday flavors. Damn. Bad Went to 5 guys for the first time. Ordered a hot dog. Why do they even bother? NINE DOLLARS for a hot dog that was: 1/2 or less the size of a Costco hot dog. 1/3 of the taste. About the same size, texture and flavor as an Oscar Meyer. Maybe less dense. No natural casing. They split the hot dog down the middle and fry it on a griddle. So, no crunch when you bite into it. Terrible experience. When I went to go purchase two shakes I wanted to pay the difference because I had cash on hand. I tell the cashier that and she looks at me confused saying what do I mean. So I explained to her what that means. She then goes to make my shakes then gives them to me. I ordered strawberry and cofee, I put the straw in and tasted the coffee shake and it tasted like chocolate. I even had my sister confirm the taste. I went back to tell them that my shake was wrong and the worker who made it tells me that "no its coffee". I said well it tastes exactly like chocolate so the manager came and said "I am so sorry, I can remake that". But has the person who messed it up make it again. My least favorite burger in Pasadena. Let's start with the service which seems commonplace now a days. Not exceptional, uncaring and not helpful when I asked questions and looked like she didn't want to be there. The tip prompt came so fast that my bill became $24 for just a burger. I decided not to complain and just went with it . The burger was nothing to write home about and I would have had better expectations going to McDonald's. Never again. Probably was the service which made the meal so disasstfying. Fast forward to present time, the prices of the sandwiches and items here are reflective of the current economic state. Location/Parking: You can find parking in the back of the shop. (Meter...Free 90 minute parking) or in the front (meter). Ambiance: Pretty neat ambiance with modern furnishings. They also have an outdoor patio to grab food if you don't see any available tables inside. Entertainment: Make sure you take many pictures with the neat decor inside the shop and even see how the staffers make your food. Also, don't feel judged by getting many scoops of the FREE complimentary salted peanuts! Service: Service was decent. The staffers were friendly and offered great suggestions. It can be slow, but what do you expect if everything is made to order. Sandwich Of Choice: I got the grilled cheese sandwich and decide to add grilled onions and mushrooms. It was the greatest decision every because it was soo goood and ingredients were really fresh. Finally tried this place. I opted for the burger/fries/drink combo. Supposedly this is their "small" burger...lol... it was so big that I couldn't finish it. I was happy with the taste of the burger, I opted for all the fixings, the grilled onions and mushrooms were tasty. The fries were good, and I'm picky when it comes to French fries... again, the amount was quite big. After hearing people rave about Five Guys I decided to see if it lived up to the hype. FYI, the prices are not cheap (about $9 for a burger, $5 for fries). However, you are getting a restaurant quality burger made with fresh ingredients and not a fast-food burger made with a frozen patty. You can customize your burger or hot dog with a variety of toppings, all of which are free, and both can be ordered without the bun. The burger is juicy, and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients. The Cajun fries are amazing. I love the seasoning, and the portions are generous. You can tell they are made with fresh (not frozen) potatoes even without seeing the bags of potatoes in the store. They are also cooked in peanut oil. For dessert they have good ole' fashion milkshakes and you can add mix ins like fresh banana or Oreo pieces for free. In addition to hamburgers and hotdogs they also have a Veggie Sandwich, grilled cheese, and a BLT. You also get free refills on soda, and the soda machines are contact free. You scan the bar code and then it dispenses your drink. Pretty cool. The gal that took our order was very friendly, and you can enjoy your meal on the outside patio. The store was very clean. It was awesome to see that there is a Five Guys that's opened up here on Lake. I had first seen them when I was waiting in line for Randy's Donuts next-door months ago and finally they opened up a couple weeks after. I've only been to another location once before so I wasn't too familiar with how things work. My sister did go more often so she was able to walk me through the process. I did order everything online so it was ready by the time I got there. They do want to make sure that you get your food fresh so they will tell you to respond to your text message when you are on the way to the store. And then once you are there in the parking lot or if you're there in the vicinity to text them again. The burgers and fries are amazing and the portions are very generous. I probably should've just eaten half a burger because I had a major should come afterwards. I also do like how you can add a lot of different toppings to your burger so it's not just a basic pre-made burger but you're able to get how you want it exactly. There are a large variety of different things you can get and I was more than satisfied with the selection. I may have overdone it but that's probably part of the fun. The fries are really good here and it can get a little bit oily. So be careful when you're transporting them because they will seep through the bag. The Cajun fries were amazing there is definitely a good kick to it so if anybody doesn't like spice that is something to avoid for sure. There is a ton of parking in the back. I walked in and ordered a " hamburger". Nothing else. When I saw that they were putting two hamburger patties on my bun I told them I didn't want a double. I was told that's what I ordered. I said I ordered a hamburger and not a double. Then another girl came out and argued with me on what ordered. I'm not an expert at their menu, but when somebody orders a hamburger, the definition is usually a single Patty. So when you place an order here you automatically ordering a double hamburger and they don't tell you that. I told Worker that I did not want a double patty. She wanted to argue with me and then asked me if she should throw it out and I told her that she could do whatever she wanted with that but I'm not gonna eat a double patty. I only want one. Then she said you want your money back and I said that would be a good idea. She got on the phone for about 10 minutes to talk to somebody about giving me a refund. I paid cash Yes, people pay cash for things these days. This was the rudest worker I have encountered. And didn't you guys just get a pay raise to 20 bucks an hour? Maybe that pay raise should include how to deal with customers and be personable and friendly. This person was down out, rude and sarcastic, and wanted to argue with me Then it took them 5 minutes how to count cash to give back to me. Well I won't be coming back here. The picture that I've posted is the girl that was rude. Then to top it off I'm in the parking lot and I was legally parked in a handicap spot and a worker from 5 guys illegally parked next to Me in the walkway are for handicap. He was busy looking at his reflection in the window. I asked him if he could pull out so I could pull my large van out. He told me he has paid parking and he can park there. I said great then you won't have a problem with moving so I can get my van out. He made it extremely difficult for me to move my van. And yes, this was an employee from five guys. I was just talking to my brother the day before about the best burgers around, and Five Guys was one the spots we both agreed made great burgers. Walking in, I was greeted by a beautiful young lady by the name of Melanie who provided very exceptional service. But more than that, I was having a TERRIBLE day and Melanie was able to brighten my mood simply by being outgoing, and eager to assist. It's crazy how someone's smile and just good energy plays an impact In your day. You never know what people are going through, and kindness goes along way. Yo, I was very thankful for that interaction! Melanie was very insightful/helpful, & answered all of my questions about the menu so that I could make an informed decision on what to order. I walked inside with my guitar on my back, and that created really great conversation with staff! I opted for just the CheeseBurger, but I got it "All the way" which was delightful and hella amazing. The meat was so juicy!!! Like, I could literally see the juices peeping through my bag! It was Hot, Fresh, and a joy to devour! Five Guys Burgers remind me a lot of home. What I didn't like much was the price for a burger. $14-15 for just a burger is CRAZY!!!!!! It was very good, but idk about $15.. other than that, I really enjoyed this experience. The burger smells something unusual for a fresh meat and too pricey. The fries a lot of small pieces than usual and I told the lady cashier and replied it comes out that way all unpeeled cut potatoes for the price of . You can't eat most of it. Never again read more

Granted this place was slammed. 1 double cheeseburger with mayo, lettuce, pickle, mushrooms (which never appeared on the burger) 1 single cheeseburger, lettuce, ketchup, mustard, pickles, medium fries order crispy and a Strawberry shake. $41.00. Ketchup dispenser was empty and I took the last of the ketchup packs. Guy said they didn't have time to fill so just use the packs. Waited 20 minutes to get the food. Bun did not hold up to the burger and condiments. Ended up just eating the burger and disposed of the bun. Fries were not crispy and had to pick through to find anything close to crispy but flavor wise not too bad. Would try them again when not so busy. Pricey for what one gets. read more

The fries are great quality and generous. They're the best thing here. Easily. I think the regular FF price is fair for the quality and quantity. I get fries here often and have them with sandiches or burgers from elsewhere. The hot dogs are good quality and come with all the toppings you want. A bit pricy though. Not worth it. I don't like their burgers at all; the meat has an offensive odor and taste. Harris Ranch? The inside of the restaurant always has that awful smell. Service has been consistently good, friendly and competent. I'll keep coming back for the fries, but not anything else. read more

Good food. Good service. Their cheeseburger was freshly made and they don't skimp on patties or the fries. I got the regular fries and the portion overflowed the cup. Since they make their food to order, be prepared to wait a bit. Solid burger place. This location does have a lot behind it, but it's a busy one. read more

Very Expensive $15 for a bacon cheese burger is crazy when you have so many other options at a cheaper price

Overall 2.6 stars. Been wanting to try it for a while and finally did and thought the burger was average and kind of high priced. A little bothered and surprised to find out the regular burger is a double. I actually prefer a single and feel like a double is like biting into a meat loaf. The good feature is you have a nice choice of toppings. The fries were surprisingly soggy and salty, but tasty. Other good feature is that it is next door to Randy's Donuts. After finally trying it, I don't think I will be back. read more
