Not only did Seven Moving provide me with the best quote I received, but they also had the best service I've ever had. Being first a college student and then a professional in the Boston area, I've moved about ten times over the years, so I've had a lot of experience with local movers. The Seven Moving crew I had of Misha, Usman and Volodya showed up on time, which is not that usual, but always a plus. They worked delicately, but also very quickly when moving me out of a third floor walk-up. In the past when I've used movers there was always a long lag between when they finished at my old building and when they arrived at my new location. Not with these guys! They wrapped up moving me out and immediately stepped on the pedal to my new home and even got there a few minutes before I arrived. When at the new location (4th floor with an elevator) they got in an assembly line formation and had me moved into my new place in no time. Nothing was broken, nothing was lost, and they even stopped and played with my cat for a few minutes. The only thing I'd point out to readers is that unlike past movers I've had, they didn't obtain a No Parking/Moving sign for their truck ahead of the move. They did tell me they'd not do this, so it wasn't a surprise. It was just on me to go to Town Hall in Brookline to get and hang up the signs, which wasn't a big cost or deal. Just thought I'd mention that in case it's a concern to anyone, but it's easy to handle on your own. All in all - a great experience and I highly recommend them. read more

I tried getting estimates from 5 or 6 different moving companies. It was a simple move. An armoire, a woman's bureau with mirror. All the pieces were already in a woman's garage and was only going less than 10 miles away. Once at my home just needed to go down 5 steps into our cellar. A simple move. Got 5 estimates well over $380. Got one for $200. After checking YELP decided with the $200 from SEVEN MOVERS!!!! What a GREAT decision!!! If you need to move this is the one and only company. Don't fall for those cheap quotes and then find out that it ends up double of what the quote was!! Don't get sucked into having to pay for their traveling to and from where they picked their truck from!!!! Those are the movers that give movers a bad name. We needed to get our hardwood floors redone and repaint some walls for the upcoming home sale so everything on hardwood would need to get moved. After a ton of calls and research I ended up working with Seven Moving. They were responsive and clear on costs beforehand as well. They were able to quickly move everything to the basement (as requested) but they did scratch the floors (no biggie for us since we were getting the floors redone). There was one piece that wouldn't fit in the doorway so we found somewhere else for it. They guys did seem to struggle with some of the furniture which was a little concerning... Later when the painters were here we found that with only 2 workers, they were able to shift the furniture without even breaking a sweat! (Raised more concerns on the movers...) Once painting and hardwood was done we hired Seven Moving again to set the house up for staging. I had requested some stronger workers and they listened (one worker stayed the same). However, following this job the alpha worker (the guy that acted most in charge) strongly hinted at wanting a good tip for the move. We looked up online that movers get 10% for a move one is satisfied with. We gave more than that, rounding up to the nearest hundred. However upon receiving payment and tip, the alpha worker COMPLAINED saying he should be getting a 20% tip!!! His colleagues stood there quietly looking a little surprised at his outburst. Eventually they left only after the alpha tried to shame us in not tipping them enough. RIDICULOUS!!!! Mind you, after they left, WE FOUND SCRATCHES ON OUR NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS AGAIN!!! The boss offered to fix the hardwood for us or refund us the tips. Since we already had our open house events, we opted to not do even more work. Overall, the company had good communication, came on time and worked very hard. But they tend to scratch your floors and be wary of some rude workers. read more

I had a great experience with Seven Moving. The crew did a great job. They were extremely efficient even given some difficulties with the freight elevator in my building, and they tried extremely hard to fit my couch into my new apartment (even though ultimately it didn't fit.) Overall it was a great experience during a stressful time. The rate is also the lowest that I found for this time of year. I see some other reviews mention that even though the rate is low, the crews take a long time, but I don't see how my crew could have been any more efficient. Highly recommended. read more

I have moved at least 10 times during in the last 6 years and never have I experience a move this smooth. Absolutely came through in a clutch. Our daughter had just moved from AZ and the moving company Interstate Moving did not communicate then showed up in the middle of the night, unloaded everything to the driveway and left never taking it into the apartment. We were desperate to find someone to help get the furniture in and to the third floor APT. Called a bunch of companies and Eugene from Seven Moving responded and squeezed us in and sent three people right over and had everything done in about 30 minutes. This was my first time hiring movers, so I was nervous to entrust others to handle my personal belongings. The team of 3 movers (Islan, Kasa and Nartay) were very professional, quick, and efficient. These guys were great! I admit I was skeptical at first but the team we had did a solid job of packing and moving our things -- a three bedroom house with tons of stuff. Not just a tiny city apartment. They were careful, respectful, efficient, and thoughtful. As most people know moving really sucks and is stressful. But these guys made it feel quick and effortless. Their pricing was really good. I got estimates from 3 other movers and they were all $1-2k over what 7 Moving quoted...what is more if you pay cash you get a 5% discount! So I think we actually saved a $150 off our quote and maybe at least $1K under the other big moving companies. We cannot recommend Seven Moving more. First, they are incredibly responsive and flexible. We originally scheduled an appointment for July 2, but we were in touch with them throughout our drive from North Carolina and they were able to fit us in the night of July 1, only an hour after we arrived in Boston. This enabled us to sleep on our own bed instead of in an empty apartment. Second, we had a large L sectional couch that could not fit into our building's small elevator. I hired Seven Moving to move from Cambridge to Somerville. I was moving a studio apartments worth of stuff. My Cambridge building had a very small elevator and stairs with tight corners and hallways, so it was going to be a difficult move to get everything out. They were very professional! They inquired a couple days before if I was available for them to start earlier than my scheduled window (8:30am rather than noon), and ensured that I was ready for their arrival by calling 20 minutes ahead. They packed the truck very efficiently, putting furniture last so that when the truck was unpacked at my new place everything was moved in easily. We had a great experience with Seven Moving. I called them pretty late in the evening, but Eugene answered and we got it all planned, even though it was short notice, just 2-3 days before our move. We hired two guys for two hours and the fee was $276 in cash, worth all the money. Eugene called the day before to confirm everything, which was nice and reassuring. The two guys showed up right at 8:00am as we requested. They were AMAZING and packed an ENORMOUS amount of stuff into our moving truck. We thought we had only hired a couple of guys to carry stuff, but they master-minded the packing of the moving truck, to our great relief. I moved from a small second-floor bedroom to a 1-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor of an apartment building with minimal furniture, so the job was on the small side. I was quoted $253-$380 and I was billed for $254 (including the 5% discount for paying with cash). Kyle and Ja (not 100% sure on spelling) arrived on-time (and called ahead to let me know they were on their way) and were very friendly. They got straight to work and were quick and efficient. I've used Seven Moving twice -- I would absolutely use them again next time I need to move and would recommend them to anyone. I recommend contacting them via their online form. I submitted my form less than 1 week before moving during an extremely crazy time (Aug. 30th move date, AND during Covid). Zurab called me back very quickly and set everything up. He sent me an email to make sure I was clear on pricing, timing, # of movers to expect, and their payment process. He was super communicative throughout the week and flexible on timing. The first time I worked with them, they sent 2 movers. The second time, they sent 3 movers. Each time, the move was under 2 hours which blows my mind (I stayed within Boston but had a ton of boxes). They're all professional, friendly, and worked quickly. They asked questions about where things should go and had me double check that they didn't forget anything. They'll wrap up your furniture and dissemble/reassemble items as necessary. The second time I worked with them, I even asked if they could help me uninstall and reinstall helped my window AC and they agreed without hesitation. Also, they moved me to/from a very tiny, one way street which I was worried about but they weren't concerned at all. They handled it great. If you're considering Seven Moving, do it!! I wish I could give Seven Moving more than 5 stars! They are so incredibly efficient and responsive. They moved us from a 4th floor walkup with a very narrow steep staircase, and it only took them about 2 hours to get everything in the truck, including a massive heavy couch (in the past, it has taken movers almost twice that long). When moving us into the new place, it only took 45 minutes for a 2BR apartment. Not to mention it had poured rain, so they had to walk through puddles to complete the move and keep our furniture dry. We have many antiques from the late 1800's and are always worried about moving them, but they were so careful and wrapped them in many furniture blankets. The entire time, the movers wore masks, maintained social distancing, and were really friendly and positive, even though it was a tough move. As if that weren't enough... today we had an emergency furniture move that we needed some help with, and they were able to come with only 1.5 hours notice AND were cheaper than any of the other moving companies. Wow! Just wow. Was not sure what to expect, but we had an incredible experience with Seven Moving (and I hate moving)! Baha, Birzhan, and Andrei came to move my sister and myself into two separate homes (on opposite sides of Boston), and they did so in under two hours. They were also very careful with the furniture, which is not always the case. They are an incredibly hard-working and dedicated trio--they took no breaks (and it was 92 and very humid today)! Workers did not seem overly experienced as they struggled to get items out of the house but still charged full price for the additional time. Tip was also criticized which can make someone feel uncomfortable but I understand if doing back breaking work you want to be compensated. Some items were left behind and tape was left on a lot of furniture. Overall happy with the service, just think the quote was low-ball which I have heard is common. I had originally booked with Michael's Movers but at 10am the day of the move they canceled and left me stranded. I had already paid for and posted moving permits that were scheduled to expire so I called a bunch of moving companies in a panic trying to schedule last minute----and luckily Seven could fit me in. Andrej, Promesh and Bayron did a kickass job. They arrived on time, moved my sundries with care and haste, and came in exactly on budget. You can't ask for more than that. We had a long move from Detroit to Boston, and after a long drive with a packed truck, they made the move in auper smooth, with helpful insights, speed and generally just being accomodating and helpful. We recently chose Seven Moving for our recent move. Zurab is extremely responsive and was great to work with. They were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than their competitors. We were moving less than a 5 minute drive from our current place and most movers charge you for a minimum of 4 hours plus travel time and Seven charged for a minimum of 2 hours plus travel time which made a big difference. They were careful and thoughtful in how they wrapped up our furniture in order to protect it. They don't nickel and dime you for the extra materials they use - it's all included in the quote. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We also had reached the day prior to our move since the day of our move was supposed to be a very rainy (and muddy) day and Zurab was able to get some of his guys to come out a day early within just a few hours notice. Seamless experience with Seven Moving in Boston! This was my first time using professional movers, and Eugene and his team made it easy every step of the way. They take their time to answer all questions, and communication is one of their top priorities, which was especially helpful for me during my first move. My move was rather complicated, as I was moving from a third floor apartment with a small winding staircase, with a second stop at another apartment to pick up more furniture, and finally to a storage unit. They were on time and incredibly efficient at each location, but also took the time to wrap the furniture and handle my items with care. They also are very experienced with the various storage units in Boston, and knew where to park as well as the bet way to fit all of the furniture into the unit.
