I dont often write reviews unless its worth it. With Seven Moving, a 5 Star rating is very well deserved. The guys are all very professional and not to mention very efficient. I have moved at least 10 times during in the last 6 years and never have I experience a move this smooth. Price is super affordable, and communication is very easy, and the time to move to our new house took less than what I expected, which just proves how efficient they guys are. These guys were great! I admit I was skeptical at first but the team we had did a solid job of packing and moving our things -- a three bedroom house with tons of stuff. Not just a tiny city apartment. They were careful, respectful, efficient, and thoughtful. As most people know moving really sucks and is stressful. But these guys made it feel quick and effortless. Their pricing was really good. I got estimates from 3 other movers and they were all $1-2k over what 7 Moving quoted...what is more if you pay cash you get a 5% discount! So I think we actually saved a $150 off our quote and maybe at least $1K under the other big moving companies. We cannot recommend Seven Moving more. First, they are incredibly responsive and flexible. We originally scheduled an appointment for July 2, but we were in touch with them throughout our drive from North Carolina and they were able to fit us in the night of July 1, only an hour after we arrived in Boston. This enabled us to sleep on our own bed instead of in an empty apartment. Second, we had a large L sectional couch that could not fit into our building's small elevator. They carried the two-piece couch up FIVE floors. I was thoroughly impressed and grateful to be able to keep our favorite couch. Finally, they were very nice and efficient. read more

I hired Seven Moving to move from Cambridge to Somerville. I was moving a studio apartments worth of stuff. My Cambridge building had a very small elevator and stairs with tight corners and hallways, so it was going to be a difficult move to get everything out. They were very professional! They inquired a couple days before if I was available for them to start earlier than my scheduled window (8:30am rather than noon), and ensured that I was ready for their arrival by calling 20 minutes ahead. They packed the truck very efficiently, putting furniture last so that when the truck was unpacked at my new place everything was moved in easily. They did a very good job and I would definitely hire them again. Very communicative and easy to work with. read more

Workers did not seem overly experienced as they struggled to get items out of the house but still charged full price for the additional time. Tip was also criticized which can make someone feel uncomfortable but I understand if doing back breaking work you want to be compensated. Some items were left behind and tape was left on a lot of furniture. Overall happy with the service, just think the quote was low-ball which I have heard is common. There were some issues that were out of the workers hands and they were polite and did seem to try to keep things moving along. read more

I appreciate Zurab's response, although I will add this additional feedback: my entertainment center which is a tongue & groove handmade piece of furniture was also badly nicked along with my armoire which was fairly ripped apart. And while Eugene did follow up with phone calls, I find the missing items, damage, and abandoning my items in the hall unacceptable practice for movers. After all, this was an emergency move and I was busy packing as they moved my belongings, so I could not supervise their work and trusted them to take care of my things. Thank you, Zurab. read more

We had a great experience with Seven Moving. I called them pretty late in the evening, but Eugene answered and we got it all planned, even though it was short notice, just 2-3 days before our move. We hired two guys for two hours and the fee was $276 in cash, worth all the money. Eugene called the day before to confirm everything, which was nice and reassuring. The two guys showed up right at 8:00am as we requested. They were AMAZING and packed an ENORMOUS amount of stuff into our moving truck. We thought we had only hired a couple of guys to carry stuff, but they master-minded the packing of the moving truck, to our great relief. I moved from a small second-floor bedroom to a 1-bedroom apartment on the fifth floor of an apartment building with minimal furniture, so the job was on the small side. I was quoted $253-$380 and I was billed for $254 (including the 5% discount for paying with cash). Kyle and Ja (not 100% sure on spelling) arrived on-time (and called ahead to let me know they were on their way) and were very friendly. They got straight to work and were quick and efficient. Overall, the experience was excellent, and I hope that if/when I move again I'll be able to hire them once more. read more

In addition, this was when Covid pandemic was occurring and we needed to have his things moved out within 3 days. Zurab was extremely quick to respond to my questions and called me immediately. I've used Seven Moving twice -- I would absolutely use them again next time I need to move and would recommend them to anyone. I recommend contacting them via their online form. I submitted my form less than 1 week before moving during an extremely crazy time (Aug. 30th move date, AND during Covid). Zurab called me back very quickly and set everything up. He sent me an email to make sure I was clear on pricing, timing, # of movers to expect, and their payment process. He was super communicative throughout the week and flexible on timing. The first time I worked with them, they sent 2 movers. The second time, they sent 3 movers. Each time, the move was under 2 hours which blows my mind (I stayed within Boston but had a ton of boxes). They're all professional, friendly, and worked quickly. They asked questions about where things should go and had me double check that they didn't forget anything. They'll wrap up your furniture and dissemble/reassemble items as necessary. The second time I worked with them, I even asked if they could help me uninstall and reinstall helped my window AC and they agreed without hesitation. Also, they moved me to/from a very tiny, one way street which I was worried about but they weren't concerned at all. They handled it great. If you're considering Seven Moving, do it!! I wish I could give Seven Moving more than 5 stars! They are so incredibly efficient and responsive. They moved us from a 4th floor walkup with a very narrow steep staircase, and it only took them about 2 hours to get everything in the truck, including a massive heavy couch (in the past, it has taken movers almost twice that long). When moving us into the new place, it only took 45 minutes for a 2BR apartment. Not to mention it had poured rain, so they had to walk through puddles to complete the move and keep our furniture dry. We have many antiques from the late 1800's and are always worried about moving them, but they were so careful and wrapped them in many furniture blankets. The entire time, the movers wore masks, maintained social distancing, and were really friendly and positive, even though it was a tough move. As if that weren't enough... today we had an emergency furniture move that we needed some help with, and they were able to come with only 1.5 hours notice AND were cheaper than any of the other moving companies. Long story short -- these guys are fantastic, and I will be using them for any future move. read more

Wow! Just wow. Was not sure what to expect, but we had an incredible experience with Seven Moving (and I hate moving)! Baha, Birzhan, and Andrei came to move my sister and myself into two separate homes (on opposite sides of Boston), and they did so in under two hours. They were also very careful with the furniture, which is not always the case. They are an incredibly hard-working and dedicated trio--they took no breaks (and it was 92 and very humid today)! I had originally booked with Michael's Movers but at 10am the day of the move they canceled and left me stranded. I had already paid for and posted moving permits that were scheduled to expire so I called a bunch of moving companies in a panic trying to schedule last minute----and luckily Seven could fit me in. Andrej, Promesh and Bayron did a kickass job. They arrived on time, moved my sundries with care and haste, and came in exactly on budget. You can't ask for more than that. We recently chose Seven Moving for our recent move. Zurab is extremely responsive and was great to work with. They were SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper than their competitors. We were moving less than a 5 minute drive from our current place and most movers charge you for a minimum of 4 hours plus travel time and Seven charged for a minimum of 2 hours plus travel time which made a big difference. They were careful and thoughtful in how they wrapped up our furniture in order to protect it. They don't nickel and dime you for the extra materials they use - it's all included in the quote. Everyone was friendly and efficient. We also had reached the day prior to our move since the day of our move was supposed to be a very rainy (and muddy) day and Zurab was able to get some of his guys to come out a day early within just a few hours notice. Seamless experience with Seven Moving in Boston! This was my first time using professional movers, and Eugene and his team made it easy every step of the way. They take their time to answer all questions, and communication is one of their top priorities, which was especially helpful for me during my first move. My move was rather complicated, as I was moving from a third floor apartment with a small winding staircase, with a second stop at another apartment to pick up more furniture, and finally to a storage unit. They were on time and incredibly efficient at each location, but also took the time to wrap the furniture and handle my items with care. They also are very experienced with the various storage units in Boston, and knew where to park as well as the bet way to fit all of the furniture into the unit. And at the end of the day, the total cost was less than the quote thanks to their expertise! Perfect. They were extremely fast, well priced, and took care of all our items. 3 hours for moving a large 1 bedroom across town up 3 floors was totally amazing. Would highly recommend this company to anyone. Zurab was a super nice guy and accommodated my schedule which was changing daily because of the recent coronavirus outbreak. Not only did he exceed my expectations with scheduling, but his movers were extremely professional - communicated arrival times well, super efficient workers, and they did not break or damage a single thing throughout the duration of the move. Just finished moving with them. Zurab was so prompt with responses, I had to change my moving day a few times and he was extremely accommodating and was very honest in that certain weekends would be more expensive. So, I very much appreciated him helping me find the best time and cost. I just can't say enough awesome things about the movers and the company. They were just AMAZING. I had a scheduled time from 1-5, but they had availability at around 11, so I was even happier. They called when they were about 30 minutes out. I moved from Dorchester to Brighton. I had hired another moving company to move some of my stuff to storage, and then I booked them to move my whole 5000 sf house at the end of October. A few days before the move date, I called to go over the details, and was told my date and time was accidentally double-booked, and could I do it on another day. I could not, so I started calling around again only to learn that everyone was totally booked (or too expensive). My realtor sent me contact info for Seven Moving, and I called and spoke with Max, who assured me Seven Moving could not only do the move on my schedule, but that it would cost less than the others. The Seven team showed up on time, was courteous and professional, and got right to work. They wrapped and protected my furniture, and took care not to damage my belongings as well as my (soon to be former) house. My move was large and somewhat complicated, some stuff to go to my local storage site, and some stuff to travel to western Mass to my new place. Max was very easy and flexible to work with (and took all my calls at late hours and over the weekend!!). We ended up adding additional last minute dates and trips, even working until 1AM the final night. The crew presented me with a written detailed bill, and it was very reasonable, exactly as Max had promised. Seven Moving helped my husband and I move out of our apartment and into a new home last week. The company was super responsive and helpful pre-move answering questions and providing transparent information on services and rates. On the day of our move, the owners of our apartment building turned off the elevator :( and the guys had to deal with going up and down 4 flights of stairs to get us out. They were prompt, polite, incredibly professional, worked very hard, and did an amazing job. Despite having to go up and down 4 flights of stairs they were still able to get all our belongings in their truck within 4 hours. They drove our belongings to our new home, unpacked the truck exactly as the boxes and furniture were labeled, and were done within another hour. None of our belongings or property were damaged. I would highly recommend this company to anyone moving. They were cost-effective, did a fabulous job, and took a bunch of stress and physical labor off our plates! read more
