They are fantastic. We've done two moves with them in the last eight months. The first we moved from a large house to a temporary apartment in suburbs of Boston. We had to organize dropping off a large number of things at a storage unit, they organized the storage unit to make everything fit even though it was tight. Then they got the rest of our stuff into our apartment. Just this past week, they moved us out of our temporary apartment into our new condo. Again, they coordinated getting some things to storage, some things out of storage and then getting us moved out of our apartment and out of state in a very professional manner. The manager at our new condo remarked to me that they were a great crew, he'd been there to see a lot of crews move people into the complex, and he had nothing but praise for Seven Moving. As I planned to move 9 years of studio living to a 1 bedroom apartment I made a list of familiar movers I had seen around Cambridge and heard on the radio. Then I sorted through Yelp reviews. Trust and reliability were as important as a competitive price quote. Other Yelpers' praise for Seven Moving put them on my radar and every interaction advanced them up to first choice. Zurab was my primary contact for information, a quote and guidance. He responded at least by the end of the day each time. I had not hired a mover in a long, long time and as I boxed items up I realized that I had a lot of Rubbermaid bins and boxes so I emailed Zurab a picture of the mountain of "stuff". I hired Seven Moving and could not be happier. I requested quotes from a few places. Seven's was very competitive and straightforward, so I went with them. Eugene, Kairat, and Zak came and I was very impressed. They were so fast, hard-working, and professional. They moved me out of my 3rd floor apt so quickly, each running down 2 flights of stairs with 80+ lb. box(es) at a time. I had to get out of their way, they were so fast. I completed a move request form on Yelp and one of my responses came from Seven Moving, which I never heard of before. Max emailed and texted with information; I then called and booked a move with them since it was the most fair price. On the day before the move, I was contacted to see if I'd be okay if a crew came earlier than planned. They contacted me the day of the move when 40 minutes out, and I had 3 strong men in my house right as planned. Eldos, Abram and Denis set to work and got everything moved where I wanted quickly, efficiently and neatly. They even put everything back (in a decorative fashion) that they have taken off of the items that were moved. I cannot recommend Seven Moving highly enough! read more

I can't recommend these guys enough. I was a pain in the rear customer...I had to make several changes to what, where, and when they were moving me. And yet, they maintained great communication and patience with me. The move itself, went flawlessly. Nothing damaged. They were fast, efficient, and friendly. I've moved about 10 times with movers, around Boston and the metro area and these guys are one of the best, they get a 10 in my book. Prices are also very fair. Moved from Revere to Salem. I was totally surprised by how fast the move went. They responded to our inquiry quickly and we got everything confirmed right away. They quoted us a start from 1 pm - 5 pm - but on the day of the move, they were able to come earlier. I am glad they did as they moved everything out of our first apartment into the next within 2-3 hours. It gave us ample time to come back to our first apartment to clean and hand in our keys. This review is for a move a month ago. This is the first time one had to hire movers so I was definitely nervous and no idea who's good. After a few searches I narrowed it down to 2 and requested quotes from both via Yelp on Saturday 11/23/19. Let me first start with the pressure I was under. On 11/24/19 (Sunday afternoon and just few days before Thanksgiving!), I called the first company, but they were closed. While really feeling the pressure and panic, I tried my luck with the 2nd company - Seven and lucky Zurab picked up! I felt so relieved when he said he can do the move that was 2 weeks later. The reason for the panic was because I was traveling out of the country that evening (11/24/19). And the move date is the day before my return. So was so grateful Zurab was able to squeeze me in on such short notice. Zurab is very prompt with responding via email even after office hours. Also tried to be as accommodating as possible. The morning of the move, the 2 guys arrived within the scheduled window. They had their own equipment that made the moving easier while making sure nothing will get damaged. These guys took their time to make sure that nothing got damaged. Do not mistaken this for slow because they were not slow. Everything was well thought out such as what goes in the truck first to last that would make sense when unloading. When they unloaded into the new apartment they would ask what room everything should go and they try to place it in the space accordingly. They didn't just leave Everything in the middle of the living room. They were gentle when needed to be such as moving glass and tvs. The move was done with care and I know you don't get that with all companies. So I would highly recommend Seven for the care and professionalism from the owner along with the movers. If you don't want to take any chances of getting your personal belongings damaged then you should give Seven a try! Wow, what a great experience with this company! We called and scheduled our move for a Wednesday, but then Wednesday's weather forecast included thunderstorms. At the last minute, they fit us in for Tuesday evening. Despite the late notice, the movers were awesome communicating with us and arrived at about 5 PM. We had about 50 small UHaul boxes and at least 30 bags along with our furniture. In addition, we were moving from a second story apartment to a third story condo with a steep set of stairs. So we expected the move to take a long time. Our movers (Yerzhan, Ali, and Zahkar) had us out of our apartment in an hour and fifteen minutes flat. They were very speedy, but they also took care with all our things and wrapped our furniture and electronics. We made it to our condo and were completely moved in 1.5 hours and finished at 8 PM. None of our belongings were damaged, either. One note: they prefer you pay with Venmo, but they do take credit cards or cash. Moves can be so anxiety-producing, but this was super easy. I will definitely be working with Seven Moving again! read more

Moved 2 states over and I didn't want to spend the money for a mover, thinking to do it myself with a uhaul. Looking at yelp reviews found seven moving and the very high reviews. I reached out for a quote and it seemed very, very reasonable with a few options 2 movers, 3 movers, 1 trucks - 2 trucks. The hourly rate did concern me thinking they would milk the clock - but I jumped in and gave it a chance. Zurab was quick with communication and stayed in touch all the way through the process bringing much needed comfort in keeping my aggressive timeline. Igor, Ivan, and Andrii worked liked they were salary employee. They worked so fast and so efficient treating each piece as if it were their own. They took apart furniture and reassembled. I used Seven to unload a uhaul storage cube and move the contents over to my new apartment. I would have given 5 stars but some issues arose that caused me to have to deduct: 1. They tried to nickle and dime me on "extra heavy items" which were under the supposed weight limit and were not that heavy because I moved everything into the cube myself with a short and scrawny friend. 2. They got a full free hour out of me because my job was so small, yet the manager Zurab felt the need to explicitly call me on the phone and try to shame me for my tip amount and the "heavy items" BS when it was his decision to send a 3 man crew and a giant truck for a small job. The guys I worked with on the site were very pleasant, but I won't be using this company again. Update: they have been harassing me via phone, email, and here on yelp the last few months. Do not do business with them. Also, the "extra heavy items" were 120lbs or less. They are trying to cover their butts for nickel and dining me. read more

AN EPIC FAIL of the Seven Moving packing 'professionals' was they didn't ask questions. They should have asked, for example, "Should I use this "Outdoor TV Cover," sitting here next to the tv, to protect your tv when I pack it?" Read on. The manager told me one of the crew that packed my two pods was "let go," a verbal acknowledgment of a lack of professionalism and competent service. In good faith, to make up for the harm done, did they offer anything, a refund of some kind, some portion of what I paid for this move given the photographic evidence of damage? NO!!!!!!!!!! Consumer beware! Seven Moving offered nothing after the manager (not the owner) acknowledged they had made mistakes in how they packed my belongings for my cross country move. I gave them multiple opportunities over a year now. The manager was contrite, but when I asked them to refund the cost of the move ($1000) which is considerably less than the cost of all the damage they caused, the owner turned ugly. He showed his true colors. He did not care one bit about integrity, accountability or the quality of the service his moving company had failed to provide. For the record, if he had come back with offering half of the cost of the move ($500), I would have accepted it because a tangible recognition they did not provide the service I contracted for in a competent manner, damaging my things, is meaningful to me. I had selected this company because of the many positive reviews. NEVER, NEVER USE Seven Moving for a move they do not complete from point A to point B. If you have items of real value, I would think twice about Seven Moving at all. If they break or damage something, in my experience there will be NO ACCOUNTABILITY. I spent a lot of money on packing materials because I care about my belongings. Seven movers used tape instead of the two large costly rolls of furniture wrap I purchased (Seven packers opened both, but hardly used either one, so the money went to waste). To use in conjunction with the furniture wrap, I already had furniture blankets and bought two more sets, for a total of 50 furniture blankets. Seven packers did not use enough, did not cover/wrap enough, and many items, wood and metal, were scratched. I bought a weatherproof tv cover from amazon ($37.39 using a coupon) for my Samsung 4K UHD TV and they packed the unopened cover instead of using it to protect my tv! Who trained these guys?!? Why didn't they ask about the cover? My solid walnut dining room table top was gouged by pebbles/small rocks during the move because they packed it flat on the bottom of the shipping pod. Repair of that gouge was $600 (the whole table top had to be refinished after the gouge was repaired), more than half the cost of the move. The argument that others handled what they packed is specious. Seven Moving packers were literally packing two pods in front of my home and were repeatedly reminded that the pods were going on a train cross country. THE PHOTOS I TOOK ATTACHED TO MY INITIAL REVIEW WERE OF THE DAMAGE DISCOVERED WHEN THOSE PODS WERE FIRST OPENED UPON DELIVERY TO CALIFORNIA. They were extremely efficient even given some difficulties with the freight elevator in my building, and they tried extremely hard to fit my couch into my new apartment (even though ultimately it didn't fit.) My expectations of a moving service was far exceeded, Seven was fantastic! They were very strategic in their packing of the truck, which allowed our move to happen in one trip when we expected 2-3 trips. Additionally, we were moving into a 3rd-floor-walk-up and they did a tremendous job being efficient, fast, and making the move effortless on our end of things. I was so anxious and they took care of it all so easily and so quickly! Additionally--we found out our couch couldn't fit through the front door AFTER they had walked it up all three flights. I started panicking having no clue what we would do and not willing to just throw away an expensive new couch. They very nonchalantly said "oh we'll just hoist it through the window!" I did not know that was physically possible until I watched it happen with my own eyes. Again, so professionally, they just walked the couch back downstairs, flawlessly uninstalled the window, hoisted this huge couch with just three people up through our window, and reinstalled the window as if nothing ever had happened. I was amazed. And we rent so the fact that the window and surrounding walls look untouched and unaffected is extremely important. Just wow! Absolutely came through in a clutch. Our daughter had just moved from AZ and the moving company Interstate Moving did not communicate then showed up in the middle of the night, unloaded everything to the driveway and left never taking it into the apartment. We were desperate to find someone to help get the furniture in and to the third floor APT. We had them move both my girlfriend who lived in East Boston and myself in medford to Jamaica Plain. Making the two stops was such a painless process. Not only did Seven Moving provide me with the best quote I received, but they also had the best service I've ever had. Being first a college student and then a professional in the Boston area, I've moved about ten times over the years, so I've had a lot of experience with local movers. The Seven Moving crew I had of Misha, Usman and Volodya showed up on time, which is not that usual, but always a plus. They worked delicately, but also very quickly when moving me out of a third floor walk-up. In the past when I've used movers there was always a long lag between when they finished at my old building and when they arrived at my new location. Not with these guys! They wrapped up moving me out and immediately stepped on the pedal to my new home and even got there a few minutes before I arrived. When at the new location (4th floor with an elevator) they got in an assembly line formation and had me moved into my new place in no time. Nothing was broken, nothing was lost, and they even stopped and played with my cat for a few minutes. The only thing I'd point out to readers is that unlike past movers I've had, they didn't obtain a No Parking/Moving sign for their truck ahead of the move. They did tell me they'd not do this, so it wasn't a surprise. It was just on me to go to Town Hall in Brookline to get and hang up the signs, which wasn't a big cost or deal. Just thought I'd mention that in case it's a concern to anyone, but it's easy to handle on your own. All in all - a great experience and I highly recommend them. read more

I tried getting estimates from 5 or 6 different moving companies. It was a simple move. An armoire, a woman's bureau with mirror. All the pieces were already in a woman's garage and was only going less than 10 miles away. Once at my home just needed to go down 5 steps into our cellar. A simple move. Got 5 estimates well over $380. Got one for $200. After checking YELP decided with the $200 from SEVEN MOVERS!!!! What a GREAT decision!!! If you need to move this is the one and only company. Don't fall for those cheap quotes and then find out that it ends up double of what the quote was!! Don't get sucked into having to pay for their traveling to and from where they picked their truck from!!!! Those are the movers that give movers a bad name. We needed to get our hardwood floors redone and repaint some walls for the upcoming home sale so everything on hardwood would need to get moved. After a ton of calls and research I ended up working with Seven Moving. They were responsive and clear on costs beforehand as well. They were able to quickly move everything to the basement (as requested) but they did scratch the floors (no biggie for us since we were getting the floors redone). There was one piece that wouldn't fit in the doorway so we found somewhere else for it. They guys did seem to struggle with some of the furniture which was a little concerning... Later when the painters were here we found that with only 2 workers, they were able to shift the furniture without even breaking a sweat! (Raised more concerns on the movers...) Once painting and hardwood was done we hired Seven Moving again to set the house up for staging. I had requested some stronger workers and they listened (one worker stayed the same). However, following this job the alpha worker (the guy that acted most in charge) strongly hinted at wanting a good tip for the move. We looked up online that movers get 10% for a move one is satisfied with. We gave more than that, rounding up to the nearest hundred. However upon receiving payment and tip, the alpha worker COMPLAINED saying he should be getting a 20% tip!!! His colleagues stood there quietly looking a little surprised at his outburst. Eventually they left only after the alpha tried to shame us in not tipping them enough. RIDICULOUS!!!! Mind you, after they left, WE FOUND SCRATCHES ON OUR NEW HARDWOOD FLOORS AGAIN!!! The boss offered to fix the hardwood for us or refund us the tips. Since we already had our open house events, we opted to not do even more work. Overall, the company had good communication, came on time and worked very hard. But they tend to scratch your floors and be wary of some rude workers. read more
