Absolute worst service in DFW! Sat down and waited for a friend of mine who was stuck in the rain driving from South Dallas. Maybe 10 minutes. And there was plenty of other people occupying the other three tables. The table behind me was just ordering. And the website said they close at 9 and it was almost 8. The waitress half body toward me, the other half out to the table in the center of the room, told me I needed to order because the kitchen was going to close and that I couldn't order any food after 8. The most appalling and rudest way possible! Basically announcing to the other diners that she had full control over the establishment and wasn't going to let anybody dine in there or spend money after 8 o'clock . What is not to like? This is BYOB, family-owned, and fabulous food. It is one of my top 5 restaurants.

I don't want anyone else to know about this place!! It was delicious and they were so kind with me and the blood of kids. Much appreciated. We got a little bit of everything. Would highly recommend the meat pie! Cheese pie was sort of like a quesadilla which worked ok for the picky kid eaters. Will definitely be back. Ok, um, whoever said the hummus was just hummus, um, NO! The hummus was fabulous!! And comlimentary! The pita bread and hummus while you're waiting for food was a nice touch. I had the falafel plate and it was awesome. The falafel was full and not overly hard, they were moist like they were baked and not fried. I have to say the falafel may be better than Ali Baba- but the rice isn't. The rice is just so so. Due to all the yelping, my husband ordered the pistachio chicken- but no one ever mentioned that it takes 25 minutes to cook. Of course, he ordered it and we waited. The pita bread and hummus made the time fly by, and 25 minutes wasn't that long after all. The pistachio chicken portion is huge, it was actually pistachio rencrusted- not all breading with a pistachio here and there. I swear he licked the plate clean- there wasn't a morsel left when he was done. That said, we have to agree with everyone who loves this place. It's cute and authentic- down to the server who had an accent and was mediterranean. She was very helpful and gave us some food suggestions because it was obvious we were newbies. This little gem is an easy 5 star review.. Family run restaurant, Husband cooks everything daily and fresh, the wife serves and helps with the cooking, they also do catering... I have had a good portion of the menu breakfast included and I've never had bad food or a bad experience in 3 years of coming here. The Family gives such great service and they take great pride in appearance and the quality of their food. It's BOB or wine and if it's really busy there may be a slight wait, but this is because they make everything from scratch, food and service is totally worth any wait. This place was delicious! Me an my wife came for lunch and shared a humongous gyro and Greek salad that was large enough for both of us to be filled. The total $10.81. All the ingredients tasted really fresh, and the pita wasn't the normal kind of pita. It was chewy and delicious. It's also byob, and the corner stop right next door has tons of really good craft beers, and a really good wine selection. I will definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

Upon entering Sevan G&G on a Saturday evening, my nose was attacked by a multitude of delicious smells. My intense hunger probably wasn't helped by the fact that we were seated right next to the kitchen. While service was on the slow side, it was great Greek food. Love this PLACE!!! First of all the owners are Armenian not Greek...so when you read complaints about not typical "Greek" food, there are differences between Greek and Armenian food. Mediterranean restaurants all over town offer different styles. I don't find the prices steep at all. Its BYOB, it's in a great and busy area of town, you get plates under $10 or up to $25 for the lamb rack. Food is fresh and delicious; you can't go wrong with the Gyro and if you want to try a little different chicken dish, try the chicken Tawook. Friendly service, quick easy and mostly healthy meals (depending on what you order of course) Big FAN! CON - parking can be a little tricky due to the area, so you may have to park on the street or around the corner and walk 2nd CON - They only do Sunday Brunch, not Saturday and Sunday and I love a good Saturday brunch ;) read more

This place has some really good Mediterranean food. I love the lamb and kebabs. It isn't trendy like Company Cafe next door, BUT they have consistently great food and bend over backwards to accommodate for gluten free. We have been coming to Sevan G&G Cafe for 13 years and it's our favorite place to take friends and family for all occasions. The food has great taste. The Greek salad is the best salad I have tasted and we can't say enough of this dish there I can eat this dish every day and not feel guilty. The mix kabobs are out of this world. If lived closer to the restaurant I would eat here every day. We at least go out here 2 a month if not more at time. We have been to other Mediterranean restaurants in Dallas and by far this place beats all of them hands out. read more

Excellent place for mediterranean. The decor is cozy. Dining room is small with a patio that has an additional 7 tables. It's BYOB, but luckily, the Wholefoods is across the street and a C-store that sells Beer and wine is 2 doors down. Food was tasty, price was reasonable, and the portions were large. Okay dolmas and tabouli. Pita bread is on the thin'ish side - I prefer a little more substance. For the main I ordered the mixed kabob. This is where things fell apart. All three (chicken, steak, ground lamb/beef), while nicely seasoned, were way overcooked. The steak was chewy. A friend ordered the gyro plate, and that was definitely better, but nothing exceptional. Service was friendly. Love that it's BYOB. I went here the other night with my friends before going out, and we had a lovely time! It's BYOB so we brought some wine and beer, that's always such a nice perk. The food was delicious! We ordered the hummus, chicken, salad, and gyros. The restaurant was at first almost completely empty, but as soon as 8pm hit, it totally filled up. Service was a little slow, but nothing too bothersome. Great family feel, and super nice wait staff, not to mention the awesome location on Greenville Ave (with a parking lot!). This restaurant is so cute. It's small and intimate and the food is really good. We started off with the eggplant dip and it was so yummy! Afterwards we ordered a Greek salad and a Gyro Plate. Most of the reviews on here about this place are pretty right on. This place is very cozy and I love sitting on the patio on warmer nights to eat dinner and drink wine under the Christmas lights. I've tried dolmas, greek salad, hummus, grilled lamb, and pistachio chicken. I've never been disappointed in anything I've ordered with the standout being the grilled rack of lamb. At $22, it is the most expensive thing on the menu but it is devastatingly good in a simple, honest dish kind of way. I've never had a rack of lamb that was this satisfying. Everytime I start craving steak from now on, I'm coming back to G&G's for medium rare lamb chops. read more
