Went in for lunch at 1:50pm and told by the deli person that they are closing early to go somewhere and only have cold sandwiches. When asked what time they close, stated 3:00pm. Children's menu is grilled cheese. When asked what would they make for a child if the oven is off, stated maybe could make toast. How does a business let their employees determine when to close up shop just to go somewhere? Couldn't one of the other employees take over? Not a good business practice when there are so many other options in that area. Won't be back! Poor customer service. read more

I was getting Low Glucose alarms from my blood sugar monitor. I needed three things: carbs, protein, and sugar. I didn't have anything at home, so I thought, a deli/bakery would be the perfect place for all three. I was wrong. Amidst a glucose crisis, I came here and all they had was bread and sweets. Their sign falsely advertises that they are a deli. They are not. If your blood sugar gets too low, you slip into a coma and then you die. If it is too high, you can take insulin or exercise to bring it down. So when it is too low, as mine was, time is critical to getting what your body needs. This delay due to their intentional false identity is not excusable. I had to leave and find resources elsewhere, wasting more time I might not have. If you're looking for local German Pastries done right, you found it here! I've been coming to this location for a long time for either a German chocolate danish or an apple fritter with a very strong coffee called brain brew; made with a mix of Hawaiian Kona and Columbia's Java. If that's to strong there the Highlander Grog that has a smooth almost butterscotch taste and less caffeine, also another favorite! If you're coming here looking for a donut, they have some but is not what they are really known for. Other than pastries they have delicious cheese cake, celebration cakes, beer cheese and soft pretzels, fresh bread and deli. It can get a little pricey but believe its worth the price for quality goods. I've come here for so long mainly because it's usually quite, it has a small sitting area that gives you plenty of privacy to get work done, and the staff is A+++. The folks who work here are kind, genuine, and are there to serve to the best of their abilities...they aim to please with smiles on their faces. The store is always spotless and well kept. In finishing, I recommend this spot and hope you have the opportunity to enjoy some great local goods from Cincinnati. read more

The Anderson store is immaculately clean and offers something for every type of sweet craving, from fresh donuts to strudel to pretty petit fours and everything in between. Stopped into the Anderson location while passing by, the setup is neat and everything look great. Specifically went in because of the pretzels in the window which looked phenomenal, and I will say they were. We got one pretzel stick and one pumpkin roll, as pumpkin rolls are a favorite seasonal treat of mine. The pretzel stick was thick with a good amount of salt, they tasted even better warmed up for 30 seconds. The pumpkin roll unfortunately wasn't great at all, ended up tossing it away sadly. Waste of $10 for an item, it just wasn't a classic pumpkin roll. Way to much powdered sugar and the frosting seemed to be made from powdered sugar and crisco, not cream cheese filling like normal rolls come with. The one worker that was in there also wasn't very pleasant, quite unhappy from the looks but hey, everyone has bad days. I'll probably return to try out some other items for sure. read more

I'm rating on customer service alone. Beware about calling and asking questions about ordering product. I understand they're busy and I'm fine with being put on hold. But don't snap at me when I ask a question and huff when I ask the price. I'm a paying customer that was planning on a large order. It's the only bakery I've been to where an employee gets mad at you for buying up all of their bear claw pastry as part of your order. Besides, when a bakery doesn't use real butter in the recipe, the taste is subpar. It doesn't matter how long they've been in business in Cincinnati, it's ridiculous that a patisserie uses shortening instead of real butter. read more

I've said it before to people, but I figure I should get my thoughts on this place written down on paper. Servatti has the best donuts and pastries in the city. Other places try to be hip, put fruity pebbles on their donuts, bacon even, but they will never compare to what this place has, and has had for 50+ years. I remember my first time here, it was probably 20 years ago, but that cheese danish was so wonderful that I actually remember the day and moment vividly. The dough that they use is wonderful. That is what makes everything they make so great, the dough. The pretzel bagels and bread are delicious also. I've only had cakes here a few times, but each cake was wonderful. What this place really does best, is donuts and danishes. Absolutely check it out, they have so many locations, and even sell in remke markets. read more

Why is it, that the mentality of businesses these days, is that the customer should have done something to make their experience better? I showed up first thing this morning to purchase hamburger buns. In the summer. Right when the bakery opened. This bakery had stocked twelve buns. Not a dozen bags. Twelve total. When I said how disappointed I was they told me it was my fault for not preordering what I wanted. I only wanted two bags. That, apparently, was too much for this bakery. Too bad for anyone else who had the crazy idea to make a special trip out to a local small bakery to buy a bread product today. Lifelong customer. Not anymore. Called and texted a few family and friends because I was so annoyed and wanted to tell them to stop giving them their business. Every one of them said, "oh, I stopped going to that location years ago. They are awful." Servattii- you used to be great. What's not to love about sweet-delicious donuts?! We did a sampling of their varieties- I personally enjoyed the raspberry and sprinkle donuts the best. They aren't the most inventive donut flavors in the world (classic cinnamon, raspberry, chocolate, cream varieties etc.) but they certainly tasted nice and fresh and provided a tasty morning treat while I was on vacation. read more
