My Dad uses this storage facility so I am writing this review based on his behalf. He has been using this facility for some time. He hasn't had any issues and feels comfortable with his belongings being stored safely here. The facility is clean and the staff is friendly. I have been a customer for approximately 3 years. My rent has been increased just about every 6 months. They do not tell you this. Also, I have had a rat problem for 3 years. Things have been ruined and it sells like urine. They continue to try to eliminate the problem but only after I have complained. Short term solutions only. Several time I have asked for a District Manager or someone at corporate to talk but they won't provide me a name nor a phone number. I question their ethics! read more

The most amazing storage facility you can possibly find!! The staff is friendly, the security is beyond anything one would expect from a public storage facility aka it is very good! moreover, I have never personally had any concerns be it it with what I have stored or the people that work there they are nothing but friendly to the point where I would almost say they treat you like family. I would send a stranger here let alone a friend. I have been with them for several months now and never have I regretted the decision!! I am a fiorst time customer at this facility, which is conveniently located on Sonoma Boulevard and Highway 29, in Vallejo, CA. I found Lana who assisted me in selecting a unit to be very organized and helpful when answering the questions I had about this facility, which I found online. The facility is very clean, well maintained, and secure. I was able to rent the space I needed and purchase a heavy lock for my unit, all in under one hour. In regards to what someone else said about the discounts for giving a review, I will gladly give a honest review for some discounts, I don't consider it a bribe at all. I am on a seriously tight budget and even the slightest discount helps. I absolutely will not give any false information especially when it comes to storing people's personal property that they've worked so hard for. With that said; I've been storing my things here for the last couple months and it's been a stress free experience. The 2 ladies that work in the office are very nice, VERY helpful when needing to choose the storage size. The grounds inside and out are super clean, I haven't even seen ANY type of bug anywhere. The bathroom is clean, and there is always seat covers, hand soap, t.p., and paper towels. There are a couple of rolling flat bed dollies you can use if you need to, however, I do wish they had an upright dolly on sight for those heavy things you can't lift up onto the flatbed ones, especially when you are female and having to move everything yourself. I also know that this storage facility has a success rate of NOT being broke into like some of the other facilities around Vallejo. The managers live on site and insurance is included with you monthly fee, it doesn't get much better than that if you ask me. Lastly, the only other thing I can say is I do wish the price of my unit was a bit cheaper but all things considered I couldn't have picked a more friendly, clean, and accessible place to store my stuff at. I found this great place after an unfortunate event with another storage facility. I wish I would have found them first, I would still have allot of precious belongings. The management here is beyond everything you could ever ask for, friendly, funny and most important professional. My husband and I visited a total of three storage facilities; Marin Self Storage and Public Storage in Novato, and Security Public Storage in Vallejo, as we have property in both areas. We chose Security Public Storage because of its price point and its emphasis on security, which I gather from reading other reviews, may be reasonably good - especially considering that there have been numerous thefts at other Vallejo storage facilities. What we were not counting on, was being shorted by the facility itself. We asked for a 10X15 storage space because we have lots of furniture to store. What we got, on move-in day AFTER signing a contract designating a 10X15 space, was a 9X13 space. In other words, we signed up to pay for 150 square feet, and only got 117 square feet. That's a big difference! It's a 78% difference!!!! My husband told the manager about this during the time he was moving in, and the manager said she'd look into it with the owner. We never got a call back from that interaction. About a week later my husband called and spoke to another manager, "Lana" who said she would look in to it. Two days later we hadn't heard from them, and called back again and left a message. Lana then called back that same morning, to tell us that -- get this -- even though the contract specifies "10X15", that it also specifies that ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE!!!! Really? Do you call 78% of what you were promised approximate? Her attitude towards us on the phone was also very very condescending. In the end she said she would give us a 10% discount for three whole months. Really? A 10% discount for a space that's 22% smaller? For just three months? No thanks! Security Public storage may protect you from Vallejo thugs from the outside, but it's the establishment itself that will defraud you. DO NOT RENT FROM SECURITY PUBLIC STORAGE IN VALLEJO! read more
