It all started when I ordered an Ikea kitchen, but because I live 5 hours from their distribution center, in a remote part of the Sierras, they wouldn't take my order because they had overbooked shipping to my area. I was at a loss as to what to do until I found CMExpress. Ernest was so great from beginning, middle to end. He kept me in the loop as to how it would all go and I was so grateful for that as I live so far away. When he got to my place he unloaded 176 boxes into the room I had prepared and not one was damaged. Please do not trust these individuals. I understand that there are good reviews and they seem pleasant to talk to but when something goes wrong they are dishonest and will leave you hanging. The individual responding to the reviews promised he would refund my money. I had a very expensive item that I asked for special care with that they broke. They damaged parts of my home which I had to pay for. They said they would come and fix the damages and refund the items. Then they started making excuses and then they started insulting me. They brought 4 guys and it took them over 12 hours to pack up a 2 bedroom apartment and move it 20 minutes away to a place with no stairs. They didn't even finish the job. The main guy kept taking breaks by claiming he had to go and get more paper but then they used my things for packing and damaged so many things. I keep trying to get the refund the promised but they blocked my number. The lazy main guy also kept getting high on the job. I have video footage of them which I'll be posting on social media to warn others not to hire them. I filed a police report and joined the police to meet them but they said I would have to take them to court and I just didn't have time and knew they wouldn't pay even if I won. The police told me that several of them have criminal records. read more

Angel and his team showed up late after Ernest gave me a quote based on pictures of my whole house. They saw I was alone and took advantage of me. They brought in some other guys because they said it was going to be a "big job" it was a small place and I already sold most of my stuff. Angel took long breaks to get "more supplies". One time I can understand, but he did this many times and charged me for it. They didn't even have enough supplies to pack my small place that they should have been prepared for in advance because I sent pictures and they gave me a quote. Angel went to get fast food for himself several times while barely giving the other workers he brought a break. I bought the other guys lunch and feel sick that they stole from me. They damaged so many of my things, they damaged the property and they took from morning to late at night and didn't finish the move. Angel got high on the job. Either Angel or the workers he brought stole from me. When I confronted them, they said they would pay for damages but now they refuse to take my calls or emails. Ernest and Angel refuse to give me the names of the other guys they hired to see if I can even try to get my things back which makes me think it's Angel that stole from me. They also overcharge for boxes and materials compared to other honest moving companies. Ernest recently sent me many emails saying he would pay me back, but when I found his personal information online (and his family's personal information) to take Carquinez Moving Express to court, he got angry and accused me of "stalking" him and said he won't be refunding anything. I wouldn't have to waste my time looking for his information to sue them if they just did the right thing by giving me the names and contacts of the individuals that were in my house and paid for the damage they already admitted to. I have lost hope that I will get my stolen items back but hope this review helps someone else from getting their things stolen and damaged too. read more

One of the guys on Angel's team left a huge deep gash in my hardwood floor from dragging a table leg. Angel said sorry for not watching the new guy he brought (Angel takes a looot of breaks) and said he would come back to "buff it out" but then stopped responding. Ernest from Carquinez moving express replied to my Yelp request to help move a large heavy dining table we had purchased from RH outlet in Vacaville to our new home in Napa. This is a solid 300+ lb 108" dining table, and he and one helper (Angel) did an awesome job moving it and delivering it with care and at a very reasonable price. They took good care wrapping the table in moving blankets even though it was already wrapped in plastic by the store. It was delivered in perfect shape, and I am so appreciative. We will certainly consider using them when we move all of our belongings to the new house. We used 3 guys for a 3 bedroom house. They had it all loaded up in 2.5 hours. The were very careful not to scratch furniture or walls. The wrapped everything (including the dollies) in moving blankets (which they taped closed and all around, with packaging tape) They were friendly and helpful and they helped disassemble the bunk beds. They unloaded as carefully as they loaded, and put everything exactly where we wanted it. They were less expensive than any of the others, but just as professional. These guys are just they best! We've now used Angel and his team twice and we're so happy we did. Angel is extremely experienced in moving, loading, packing and stacking. We hired Angel to help my Mom move out of her condo and into multiple storage units. Angel packed these two storage units SO well, it was like a game of Tetris. He utilized every inch of space and made sure that there were no wasted pockets of space. He really allowed us to maximize the space we had to work with. They were on time, extremely efficient, careful with our personal property, careful to not damage the unit we were vacating, and extremely cautious with our fragile crystal. I cannot speak more highly of these guys. They are true professionals and we look forward to using them again in the future. Between my crazy parents and all the stairs I'm so glad they could spend the day helping me move. I don't have before and after pictures but I had 2 couches (1 futon) 2 tall dressers 1 long dresser a queen size bed with bed frame. Kitchen table & a desk with lots of boxes. I disassembled the couch and desk the night before but they helped put them both back together at the new location. For two bodies it was $90H which was totally worth it! Then they dropped the first half off to a second site. The remaining load then came to us. These items, well wrapped, we're removed and placed appropriately. All this was done in a timely manner. We appreciate the input they gave on how furnishings should be setup with proper bolts and washers. Apparently, these items were not there and likely mishandled from the prior moves.
