They took about 1 hour to move an organized small studio and just under 2 hours to move my lesser organized 1 BR. The bulk our time was spent at our new building which required more travel time between the truck and the unit. These guys were optimal and had excellent strategizing and problem solving across all three buildings (which were all different). They were also thorough in minimizing damage to our belongings via wrapping and care. This team set a new standard for me and I'd hire them again.

I requested a quote from Impel and a few other movers in the area through yelp. Impel's was accurate, and actually even cheaper than what their final quote was. My mother in law said they were very nice and helpful, and they finished really quickly. Happy to be recommending Impel as a great option for movers in the area.

Booking: I sent an inquiry directly with the company due to their stellar reviews, and they were able to schedule me in for my preferred time/day. The overall process was really convenient, especially because of their flexible time window. Moving: the two movers, Herman and Aleksei, were incredibly efficient and very sweet/patient throughout the move. I appreciate that they handled both my expensive & economical items delicately. Also, I wasn't completely prepared on my end with the move such as knowing details like where to park for loading/unloading or even which items to move vs discard, which I had been dreading for weeks. However, thanks to their expertise and versatility, the move was stress-free. And a huge shoutout to Herman for his guidance and coordination that really ensured a seamless experience. Overall, this company lives up to its 5-star rating, and I highly recommend Herman & Aleksei if they are available!

Paid a little over 2.5k to move a 630 sq ft 1b/1b 3 miles and had 3, and eventually 4 movers. Overall I'd say it was good, not great When I scheduled I explained I had two walkins with lots of clothes - they assigned me three people when I likely needed more as I had a walkup. We ended up totally missing the window for the move which is more my fault but I had asked the people who confirmed if they felt it was reasonable. They helped move the hanging items (which I expect) and had me pitch in to pack the glass despite having asked for them to send someone to do this. It's not an issue but I do think there was a general lack of communication bw the movers and the ppl who helped book that made the day less efficient than it could have been. I'm happy to pack those things as it gave me an outlet for my moving anxiety and saves me time ofc but even without packing glass it still took 9 hours When I realized we were pretty behind it was very easy to get someone else last minute at noon, so that was helpful and everyone coordinated quickly to make it happen. All the guys were also very respectful and carefully wrapped my furniture (table, 4 chairs, coffee and side table, large tv, bed and heavy lifting frame, chair desk and small wine fridge). I think I have a lot crammed in to a 1B and was overall a good experience, though not quite as smooth or efficient as my previous SF moves Pros: Crew is friendly Didn't break anything, including my fancy stemware Cleaned up after themselves removing wrap and paper Very efficient by helping me add an extra mover at a reasonable cost ($50hr) Cons: Timing ended up being totally off :( not their fault completely but I tried to communicate several times during booking I had a small elevator window and a lot of stuff Pretty pricey for a 1 bed 3 mile move

Daniel, the owner was very communicative during the quotation and made himself available for packing consultation leading up to the move. The same crew who loaded the truck are the ones who drove up and unloaded to our new home which gave us good peace of mind that there was no change of hands. I was really impressed by OCD's kind and hardworking demeanor. Our furniture was very well padded and packed. The delivery in Portland went great! Everything arrived safely even the most fragile glass and ceramic items made it through the move journey unscathed. Thanks so much for everything OCD, I can't thank you enough! OCD made our long distance move as easy as the stress of moving can be, their services are a worthwhile investment. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

And that's when I called Mr. Lucus Cannon, owner of 5 Star moving. to help me coordinate a relative large move in 2 separate shipments. End result is that my move was seamless & really the only hard part of it, which is to be expected , was the unpacking! It's fair to say that I worked with Lucus of 5 Star Moving once before in the past to help me move my mother's home and that was a very positive experience, especially since it was in a very stressful time of me losing my mother - a time when I was already mentally & physically exhausted! And the last thing that you want to be involved in is a move! Needless to say Lucus was keenly aware of my situation and handled every single detail of my move with great care; respectfully, and professionally! I must also mention that his work crew; Arturo, Andre, Danny, Edwardo & Mike were al absolute superstars that were totally in sync in working so well together & fully communicating with both me & my wife thru the entire process from start to finish - BIG thanks to you all & 5 Star Moving for so such a great job & experience! We had a challenging move from downtown S.F. to Berkeley, to a house that is in the middle of multiple construction projects. Yet they made everything feel easy. I had gotten food poisoning the day before and we were stressing because we hadn't yet finished packing. But it was no problem--they loaded the truck with the items that were ready to go while we packed the rest. Make sure to ask for Joseph and his team (Fernando and Victor). They arrived a little early so they'd be ready and were the utmost professional while also being a warm and friendly team of guys. We would have them over dinner any time. Because of Joseph I'm now convinced that moving is both an art and an athletic feat. We had a recliner (100lbs) and a treadmill (200lbs) that were too wide to go through a doorway--and yet he maneuvered them effortlessly through without a scratch on either.
