After 25 years of living in the same home, we suddenly decided to move into to a dream house that we found & that we had to move quickly on...! And that's when I called Mr. Lucus Cannon, owner of 5 Star moving. to help me coordinate a relative large move in 2 separate shipments. End result is that my move was seamless & really the only hard part of it, which is to be expected , was the unpacking! It's fair to say that I worked with Lucus of 5 Star Moving once before in the past to help me move my mother's home and that was a very positive experience, especially since it was in a very stressful time of me losing my mother - a time when I was already mentally & physically exhausted! And the last thing that you want to be involved in is a move! Needless to say Lucus was keenly aware of my situation and handled every single detail of my move with great care; respectfully, and professionally! I must also mention that his work crew; Arturo, Andre, Danny, Edwardo & Mike were al absolute superstars that were totally in sync in working so well together & fully communicating with both me & my wife thru the entire process from start to finish - BIG thanks to you all & 5 Star Moving for so such a great job & experience! Much gratitude, Belo Ps We were also very impressed with Lucus in that he reuses all of our used boxes & moving materials for the low income people and made special trips to our home on his own time to pick up the boxes - Lucus is truly passionate about what he does & does so well! read more

They were timely, gracious, quick! I highly recommend 5 Star Moving! Thanks for making my move easy!

Overall good, one box was dropped and broken but good moving overall. Guys were friendly

This was a long time coming review. I was looking for a mover fast to help me move offices from Oakland to Alameda. They were responsive and reliable but why I am leaving a review bc they were so booked at the time and I was so desperate that they made time to help. That was amazing to me. And to my surprise the owner is a real estate agent that works in my market. Thanks Lucas!! read more

I'd give them WAY more than 5 stars! Owner Lucas fab! I was going to interview others but I was sold on first meeting. He moved my realtors last year, strong recommendation. Move day: 3 Super Nice guys, highly competent, moved me from a large condo in Emeryville to an over 55 community in Concord. On time, nothing broken, some complex stuff (to me at least), like bed with power settings and chair with electronic device disassembled and reassembled well. Move was exactly on time frame, no hidden charges, and price very reasonable. You'll be happy with them! read more

I reached out to 5-star moving a few weeks ago. My brother recommended them to me and they did not dissapoint.. they help me down size to another storage less than half the size. They brought their crew and truck. Stacked everything like a game of Tetris and even did a dump run for me at a very fair price. 5-Star Moving definitely lives up to their name. Thanks again 5-Star team. read more

5-Star did an mazing job. The crew was conscientious and took great care loading our furniture and belongings. When they arrived at the new house, they did an exceptional job getting everything into the house and placing things where we wanted them to go. I am so happy 5-star Moving was recommended to us! Lucas, the owner, offered prompt and precise responses from the outset. The movers were unbelievably good! So polite and so strong (recommending a name change to Hercules Moving!) We had 4 guys move our very full home and they treated all our belongings like they were their own. They were quick and highly skilled movers. All our furniture was expertly wrapped and padded. Upon arrival at our new residence, they promptly and efficiently unloaded all items, placing them in the designated rooms as instructed. They even reassembled our bed and wall unit! I highly recommend 5-Star Moving, you will be glad you hired them. I unequivocally give them 5-Stars! read more

From first contact with Lucas (within minutes of my inquiry) to waving goodbye to the truck as it pulled away from our home (in *record* time, coming in way under the estimate), our experience was exceptional. Moving sucks, but the friendly, patient, efficient, crazy strong, awesome guys at 5-star made it a lot less painful. Would wholeheartedly recommend to anyone. read more

5-Star Moving gets six stars in my book -- they were absolutely fantastic, from planning and coordinating the move, to their helpful, hardworking, and careful crews. Super happy with my move yesterday. Kevin and Danny carefully packed up the contents of my cottage and moved me to my new duplex. I was particularly impressed at how they managed to move a long credenza with a glass top - an item that was difficult to maneuver out a narrow front door. And when I l looked at my Peloton after they left, I saw they had found the detached heart monitor battery pack that attaches to the chest strap and taped it safely to the Peloton seat where I could find it. They also moved a drawer set full of art supplies with the contents intact so I did not have to move them to different boxes only to have to unpack them - a real time saver. The communication from the home office was responsive, especially the day of - I got timely updates so I was ready for their arrival. Thanks for making a stressful day less so. Kudos to the whole 5-Star team! read more

We rented a Penske moving truck but needed help in loading it. Lucas (the owner), and Abu showed up and even helped me guide the truck into a tight space in front of our unit. They expertly and quickly loaded the boxes and belongings. They were professional and courteous as everyone knows moving can be stressful. I highly recommend them for your moving needs! read more

I had a good experience with 5 Star! They were really friendly, efficient, and professional. I felt comfortable with them moving my stuff and trusted that it would all make it to the other side safe and sound. We had a piano with 2 flights of stairs up to our home in Montclair. The guys wrapped it and safely moved it. I also want to thank them for their great attitude! It was raining on the morning of our move and I was worried, they assured me everything was on track still which calmed me down. I would recommend them to anyone in need of good movers at a fair rate! read more

With only about 10 days before our scheduled move and without access to movers, I reached out to Lucas and he answered immediately, providing me with availability and pricing information for the day that I needed. My husband and I had rented our own truck but needed help with packing up our two bedroom townhouse (no small feat). Alex and Daniel showed up well prepared (and early!) and were extremely efficient in their packing of the truck. It was clear they had worked side by side before and I couldn't help but continue to remind them how impressed I was. I would highly recommend this service and cannot thank 5 Star Moving enough for the help they provided in making our move seamless! (I wish I could say the same for the movers we hired on the other end, but that's a story for a different review!) read more

I have worked with 5-Star Moving for several years in my capacity as a Real Estate Professional recommending them to clients as well as for my own personal moving needs. I especially like them for local moves! read more

After living in my house for over 30 years, this team came in to pack up it up for a cross country move. It involved packing my housemate's belongings as well as mine and then loading up two different trucks. In addition, there was a large amount of unused, unneeded and unwanted detritus to sort through as well. These guys were professional, patient and friendly as they worked for two entire days to get the whole job completed. I cannot say enough about how much I appreciate their calm, skilled handling of a very chaotic situation. They were amazing and I recommend them highly. read more

Anyone who's ever had the overwhelming experience of packing up a house and moving (in our case cross-country) knows how very stressful a process this can be. Enter 5-Star Moving. The 3 young men who came to move our worldly and not-so-worldly goods--39 years worth--were friendly, efficient, careful, and communicative. I received a call from the owner the day before, reminding me of the impending appointment, and I received another call from one of the movers to let me know they were on their way. They arrived right on time and immediately got to work. What does all this add up to? Less stress, of course! I would use 5-Star again and I'll recommend them to anybody who asks. Reasonably priced, professional, and communicative. read more

Hired 5-Star Moving for a POD City Delivery service where we had a four hour window to unload the POD. Two guys showed up, and it took two hours--plenty of time to spare with allotted time limit. We moved from SF to Boston in mid-March and 5 Star Moving labor helped us pack our POD in SF. Arturo and Eduardo were amazing! They communicated very well, showed up on time, were very nice, packed the POD brilliantly, and were very thorough. We unpacked the POD about a week ago in Boston, and everything looked great. 5-Star Moving - Movers Near Me

These guys were amazing. We hired them to load our household belongings into a "Pod" container. Man, they tetris-ed so much into that Pod, it was amazing. They took great care to wrap and tape up our stuff. We know they did a great job, because when we unloaded the Pod two weeks later, everything was in great shape, unscathed by the move. (A first for us.) Communications were easy, too. Lucas reached out a few days before to review the details and make excellent recommendations. read more

Amazing team at 5-Star Moving! I was originally connected to them via the Hire a Helper website that POD recommended to me. And I struck GOLD. Lucas was very communicative and professional! Even when I frantically texted him to say that I couldn't find moving blankets after searching multiple stores, he was a calming force to say that his crew would figure out solutions. But then a short while later, he texted me back and said that they found a few that I could purchase from them! So attentive and responsive! Then the big day came and I sorely needed the help: single mom with teenage boys....but they are teenage boys haha. The 5-Star Moving guys communicated with me throughout the day to let me know their approx. arrival time. Then they showed up and went right.to.work. I really wanted to try to get all my things into one POD to save on having to pay for the 2nd POD that I ordered just in case. And they worked tirelessly, trying this way and that....and they made it work with ROOM TO SPARE. I am going to make sure to refer them to anyone that I know that is in need of moving help...you get absolute white glove service from 5-Star Moving!! read more
