Fabulous experience using this company. Scheduling through email was easy breezy. Dwight called me the night before to confirm/answer any questions which was much appreciated. Arrived promptly and worked HARD! I was so impressed both with the hustle and clear diligence in ensuring everything was well cared for. I had several flights of stairs for them to deal with and it was no issue. The whole time Dwight and Leo were absolutely doing an A+ job; it was incredible. During move in, Dwight noticed a scuff on the ceiling he thought he caused by grazing it with a hockey stick. Coincidentally I knew the scuff was already there before they arrived, but Dwight immediately tried to remedy it anyway. I absolutely did not expect that (that's the kind of thing that happens when you move, ya know?) and was so impressed. Truly honest and careful movers. Pricing was fair if not very good. Dwight was also very communicative and clear when going through the contract. No complaints whatsoever, and I would recommend this team to anyone. Thanks Dwight and Leo!! read more

These guys did an amazing job. I was worried there wouldn't be enough storage space for them to load all my boxes and furniture into, but they made it work beautifully and even left me some room to access my things easily. They were also very fast. Dwight, Kevin and Leo were polite and helpful, and also helped me problem solve a few things. They all did great jobs. Highly recommended! read more

Lulu's Hauling is so great. What a team! I truly can't imagine using any other company. They cleared out an apartment that had an enormous amount of everything: furniture, years worth of wall hangings, cabinets full of kitchenware and dishes, knickknacks, clothes, etc. etc. They were on time, worked non stop and were finished much more quickly than I expected. I highly recommend this company. read more

I've moved multiple times, throughout cities across the world, and Lulu's provided by far the best moving experience I've ever had. Dwight and Leo showed up exactly at 9 AM, were thorough, quick, and careful, even when moving my most fragile pieces, from the East Bay to San Francisco. They even made a stop along the way to pick up furniture from my partner's house! Such amazing service; thank you for bringing such good energy to the job and making what could have otherwise been a chaotic move such a wonderful, easy time. Also, didn't break the bank! read more

Lulu's came recommended by our realtor and they didn't disappoint. Their bid also was the lowest of several I solicited, and they guarantee to stay within 10% of the estimate. The move itself was very efficient, handled with great care, and stayed under budget. They even helped move some things around to make room in the new place and some items I ended up not needing back into my car. The team of Dwight, Carlos, Oscar and Sam was a pleasure to work with and I recommend them highly. read more

I would recommend to everyone reading this, that they avoid Lulu's Hauling Inc. During a two part move in 2019 where we moved from a house to and office and an apartment using them for both jobs a ~week apart, over $10k of items were stolen from our house with surgical precision... that Lulu's Hauling staff were the only individuals with knowledge of their location and the timing of our move. The same items that were stolen were electronics and high end music gear we overheard Lulu's Hauling employees admiringly commenting about during the first part of our move. When we confronted Lulu's Hauling with our concerns and allegations their staff might be responsible for the theft, the manager got angry, defensive, and berated me. We filed a police report but none of the items were ever recovered. I had been a repeat customer of Lulu's, and thought they were expensive but worth it. Never again. I do not trust these people and will absolutely never use Lulu's Hauling again in the future. Edit: This morning I received a Yelp complaint about this review. I assume Lulu's is trying to silence or alter my ability to speak out about their malfeasance. I absolutely should have filed a chargeback for the full value of my move. If they treat you poorly or you get mysteriously robbed, I'd recommend charging back their entire move fee in addition to filing a police report and pursuing charges. read more

There is no possible way to thank Dennis and his crew enough for the work they did our mother's house. 50 years of collected things, they were on time, he was true to his quote (which was super reasonable) and very flexible. Lulu's Hauling has always been at the Top for customer service. I have personally used them multiple times with great satisfaction. I've used other movers years ago, but once I found Lulu's I looked no further. Customer service is big on my list and these guys hit the mark. Just finished my fourth move with Lulu's and, though all the experiences have been positive, I feel confident in saying at this point that whether your move is "okay" or "fantastic" has to do with which crew you get. Carlos and Jose are fantastic. They moved a houseful of very heavy furniture up several narrow flights of stairs without leaving a single scuff or dent on any of the freshly painted walls or re-surfaced floors. They were also incredibly careful with wrapping and protecting everything before loading it up. Not one tiny nick on any piece of furniture. They are professional, organized, efficient, and are also really nice guys. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Thank you!! read more

This is my second time using Lulu's to move and they honestly are the best. We even had one of the same movers as last time. We weren't entirely packed up but the crew handled it like champs and were able to get everything packed, loaded and to the new house in under 8 hours. They pack everything so carefully and their materials are great- no broken glasses! Can't recommend them more. Happy that we were able to use this small business again. read more

We had Lulu's Hauling do a move that involved delivering and picking up furniture at one home and delivering it to a storage unit, a consignment store another home and then to the dump. Dwight and crew showed up on time and had reviewed our plan. They knew exactly what we needed. They carefully wrapped and packed our stuff and were extremely efficient. Dwight is a real pro. The charge was reasonable and we highly recommend them for any kind of household move. read more

Lulu's delivers. And then some. My business needed a truckload of boxes moved from an office in NorCal to our SoCal location. Lulu's promised to have the job done in two days, but actually got it done on the same day. Door to door service by Carlos, delivered in excellent condition. Highly recommended. read more

Fifth time I've used LuLu's, and again, I'm so glad that their team was there to help. Dwight led the way and made it all happen. He problem-solved and made what seemed impossible work. Roger was incredibly kind and good humored the whole day. And Joseph was so accommodating and solid. Such a great young man. Moving is never easy or fun, but these guys made it both. They all have our heartfelt gratitude. I'm sure anymore moving my family does will be done with LuLu's. read more

Lulu's Hauling Inc - One of our great movers! - Movers Near Me

Lulu's was recommended both by our realtor and an acquaintance who had used them---so we were very confident about trusting them with a local move. They were moving us out of our 4 bedroom home we'd been in for 35 years! The crew couldn't have been more competent and careful, and as an added bonus they were all great guys who made us feel so comfortable that everything was in good hands. We had two trucks and 5 guys so the move went smoothly and efficiently! Having assisting with several moves for other family members and friends, I as super impressed with the crew we had. I was never worried that they would have any issues taking apart large pieces of furniture to move them down a tight interior staircase and they got every reassembled easily at our new location. They had great ideas about furniture placement in our new rooms which was an added plus since we weren't sure about where things would go. They happily tweaked some pieces that we wanted shifted around in their new home. So very pleased with the service we received and it made a potentially stressful move so smooth and easy! Thanks to the whole crew!!!! read more

Lulu's Hauling is simply the best! I have used them every time I move, and I wouldn't trust anyone else with my belongings. Their team is highly skilled, professional, and incredibly trustworthy. They take immaculate care of every item, ensuring everything arrives in perfect condition. I was excited to call LuLu's after reading the glowing reviews here. My landlady is selling, so I'm having to move after 15 years in a place I adore. This is an emotional move. I liked the idea of employing a local team. But I don't think LuLu's was thrilled about dealing with me, for whatever reason. I'm moving from 300 square feet to 400. Cottage to condo. It *does* involve dealing with a condo elevator (two floors). I was bit stunned to be told it had to be 3 men, and 5 to 8 hours would be required, essentially $1,000 to $1,200. I'd much rather he'd said he couldn't do it or didn't want to, rather than give me an estimate I'd surely reject. I immediately called A2B Movers in SF and was told 2 movers in 3 hours for $500 and dealt with a truly lovely guy. And that price includes carpet protection. Scratching my head here. read more

Moved from Oakland to Walnut Creek last month (I only realized today that I'd started, but not finished this review.) I couldn't be happier with the service. The rate was very reasonable compared to other movers, they arrived right at the scheduled time, and the movers were all friendly and professional. And, even though it turns out we had a three bedroom house's worth of stuff in a two bedroom apartment, they got it all moved within their quoted time frame. And, even though my move required some extra work and equipment on their part, they still only charged me my original quoted price. We'll definitely use them for our next move! Pro Tip: If you buy them burgers from The Habit, you'll both see some truly impressive displays of gastric athleticism and have some very happy movers, which is a very good thing for all involved. read more

LULU'S are wonderful! The guys work hard and are super careful with your stuff. I have used them for 3 office moves, 2-Church moves and my own residential move. Top notch service. I used Lulu's twice. Once years ago, and then to our forever home. I will forever recommend the team. Personable, kind, quick and knowledgeable. I felt like I could hang out with the crew. I used Lulu's Hauling back in September. I had called several moving companies and none would consider my 125 mile destination. Which was 25 miles beyond normal request. And most movers up the price significantly past the 100 mile radius. Lulu's not only did not add an additional cost, they simply said it was within their range and I would pay for the time (round trip) and an additional gas charge for that distance. That seemed fair. I was so pleased with how fast, organized, clear headed they were (2 movers). But additionally what impressed me was that the two workers clearly had a long relationship together, and this history meant smooth communication and effectiveness. They were friendly but professional. I had only a one minor impact in the move, so very relieved. Definitely recommend. read more

Loved these guys! I've worked with Lulu's 5 times and I've been very happy with their work. My last move was out of state and they were the only people to give me an easy to work with quote - by weight - without the hassle of having to meet and quote. It worked smoothly and for the job, which wasn't easy, (two trucks and a 4 bed home, interstate, to another 4 bedroom home), they were still happy and good with everything. The true testament though, is that they've moved a 400 lb marble table successfully every move, and for every move, that two moves of this specific table - a table that west elm broke three times while attempting to deliver. They never even marred it. Anyway, they do good work at what I regarded as a fair price. Thanks Dennis and Crew! Much appreciated. :) read more

The team at Lulu's were wonderful. Quick to respond to my quote request, quick to book me in. They arrived early and were pleasant, friendly and courteous. They took great care of my things - wrapping everything well to protect them in transit and were very reasonable cost wise too. The perfect team - I would absolutely call on them again. read more

Outstanding. So as any yelping yelper will know, these reviews are only as good as the trust we have in the reviewer, right? While I can't assuage your concerns about my truthful critique of Lulu's more than putting a little effort into this review, I'm hopeful you'll trust that this effort is to convey a heartfelt review to help make your search for movers/rubbish hauling a bit less stressful. Pro tip #1. Look no further. See all these other five star reviews? Why overthink this? Moving sucks. Why beat yourself up comparing when you have found a great, friendly and affordable local moving service? Pro tip #2. Call them. Super friendly. Easy. I got Emily on the phone and she was both informative and funny. Quick and easy estimate, easy to schedule a appointment. Pro tip #3. When the big, clean van shows up, take a look inside. Everything is super clean, organized and neat. The pads they use are top of the line. Finally, my moving team was Joeseph, Jose and Earl. Joseph was the supervisor(?) and he drove the truck and was responsible for contacting me (a reminder text the previous night!), the paperwork and the finalizing any loose ends. What great service. Joseph has been with Lulu's 8 years, Jose 12(Jose has forgotten more moving tricks than most people will ever know!), and Earl (the kid!) 2. Who does that? Who works for a moving company that long and is still sane or not in a wheelchair? It says something about the team that did such a great job and the employer- take must take care of their people. I will definitely use them again. No question. read more

My husband and I recently moved from Berkeley to Walnut Creek and are very happy that we chose Lulu's Hauling to do the job for us.  After having had a totally flawless moving experience with them, we can wholeheartedly recommend their services.  Not a single one of our possessions was broken or scratched.   A crew of three seasoned movers, each of whom has been with the company for many years, arrived promptly at our house at the designated hour.  They listened carefully to all my concerns and instructions, then proceeded to dive into the task of moving the contents of our house into the moving van.  These are impressively dedicated and hard-working men.  They worked efficiently and with great diligence.  They carefully and expertly wrapped every item, paying special attention to fragile items.   I was particularly concerned about a heavy walnut sit-stand desk and an expensive leather chair that I have.  They took extra care with these items, wrapping them in blankets and plastic wrap and carefully loading them into the moving van.  When we arrived at the new location, since they had listened carefully to my instructions, they already knew where I wanted the pieces to go and quickly moved them into position.  Not only did they move in the pieces, but they also reconstructed pieces that had to be dismantled at the old house in order to move them.  I was enormously grateful at their adeptness and skill in reassembling the pieces that had to be taken apart.  Our house was basically ready  to go when the moving team left that day. The team was led by a man named Joseph.  It's easy to see why Joseph was chosen to lead the team.  It's a real pleasure to see when someone is good at their job and enjoys their work.  He is affable, professional, and customer-focused.  He explained what to expect from the process as well as certain details about liability and insurance.  He was friendly and chatty; he put us at ease and we thoroughly enjoyed his presence throughout this important and busy day. Since we'd never moved before, we were honestly not sure what to expect from the process.  But now that we've seen Lulu's Hauling in action, we've learned what expert and top-notch moving service means, when you experience it. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again. read more

Lulu's is amazing!! My husband and I used Lulu's for our move from Oakland to Alameda and Dwight, Jose, and their team were incredible! They were prompt, professional, super friendly, and communicative. I was so impressed with their efficiency and awesomeness! They made the moving experience so much easier and better. This is my third time using Lulu's and every time it has been a great experience. I highly recommend Lulu's to anyone looking to move! read more

They're fast and efficient, though they don't really care about your stuff. 4th time repeat customer, but might consider only using to haul big items. Recommendations: they do furniture, boxes, and glass. Don't let them pack anything (movers never care about your stuff), and don't have them move expensive electronics or anything like that. Also, since they don't really adhere to mask safety (it's tough when moving big, heavy items) just don't stay too long indoors with them and keep windows open. On the 2nd time, they gouged out a huge scratch on the hardwood floors. On the 3rd time, when moving expensive, heavy electronics, they rolled them around on the ground (in the box). 4th time, when instructed to just put a pile of wallscrolls into the closet if they were in the way, they taped them together. This caused visible creases in them. They weren't even instructed to move these items since I did not trust them with it, and yet they still managed to damage hundreds of dollars worth of wallscrolls. Also managed to break a wheel on a plastic dresser, but it's probably time to replace it. They also set packing paper on the stove and accidentally turned the stove on and set some of the paper on fire. They did manage to put the fire out without assistance, but the place smelled of smoke for the duration of the move. They tried very hard to shove a chair and a dresser through a door, but it didn't really fit, so they removed the door to move the dresser. There's unfortunately a few chips on the door itself (just needs a little paint), but that was nice to be able to remove a door and then put it back. They also didn't really have masks on. It kept dropping or it wouldn't cover their nose. Any time they were outside, they'd just have it hanging from one ear. I have a sore throat now, so hope it's just a cold from somewhere else. Could have been from anywhere, but the mask usage was rather lackluster. They are indeed very fast and will get your stuff to your new place in record time. They'll jam it in the door or remove it if necessary! If you're on a time budget, they're the best. They also have good follow up in case anything does happen. They'll try to make it right within their ability. read more

Lulu's is a wonderful company. I have used their moving services three times over ten years and every time has been a great experience. Here's a note I wrote to Lulu's this morning: "I just wanted to make sure you knew what an amazing job Dwight and his team did with our move last weekend. Somehow they navigated our very steep and winding stairway to remove our old couch.
