I leased a unit 3 months ago for a move. The elevator didn't work for the first 2 months. I had to lug heavy items up the emergency escape stairs for those first 2 months. Once the elevator began working, they raised the rent more than 30%. I was moving more items in today, and found most of my stuff gone and I just brought in more items 2 weeks prior. It turned out, the company opened the back rolling door and auctioned off my possessions. This was over $10,000 of equipment including photography, musical, and hardware tools. They went through every box and even took the metal rack shelves. They only left non-valuable items behind in the unit, which was still 1/3 of the unit used. They claimed my unit was abandoned (which is strange since they didn't bother to clear the remaining items), although I have paid on time. I feel so robbed, and they don't claim any responsibility. read more

They advertise safe and secure storage, but our unit was broken into and ransacked. Several thousand dollars worth of items stolen, not to mention the sentimental value of 20 years worth of digital pictures gone. They told us that this has happened multiple times over the past while (the police confirmed that to me as well), but they don't have cameras that cover all of the storage doors so they can't pin things down on the people that have been doing this through the facility. Their security for outside units is a complete joke. I would not recommend this facility to ANYONE! I would give zero stars for this business as a whole, but the only reason I'm giving it two is because the young lady that works there was more than helpful in getting us through the stuff we needed to do. read more

I was greeted and helped by this young lady named Nichole. She was outstanding, very friendly and very professional. This review is for the awesome customer service I received when moving into my unit. To say Precious is a life saver is a understatement. I will be naming my first born after her. Yes if I have a boy his name will be Precious. So I had to move into a storage unit last minute and after the worse move ever (truck breaking down multiple times including inside the Paramount/Jackson parking lot) Precious was the bright spot of my move. I am very pleased with the service, order, and cleanliness of this place. Long-story-short, I had 1 week to move things out of my house, I couldn't find an apartment within that time frame, so I yelped around for Self-Storage places and many of the reviews I read regarding other nearby businesses and I was honestly discouraged and feared: 1. being ripped off, 2. getting my stuff stolen, 3. finding rat feces on my possessions (yes, rat feces!). THANKFULLY I found this spot! I was attended by Lisa on a Saturday morning, she was very helpful and informative, she made me feel more comfortable about storing my stuff there, and she even hooked it up with a promotional discount. THANKS LISA! This place is a swell spot to hit up. I've rented here a couple times and I just keep coming back. I do need the storage but tbh I think it's more of the girls in the office that keep me coming back. They always make me feel welcome and hook it it up with water and hugs. This pandemic has put a damper on my life. But I come in here and I am happy. They are so nice to a weirdo like me. If I can give it less than one star I would definitely do it. Stay away from this place you have many more in the area to choose from. My payment was late and I was told that they were going to auction my stuff, I told them my stuff is not worth much but to me it has no price. Kimberly said well you will still owe us even if your stuff is not enough to pay the rent. I can't believe this is how they do business. Quite frankly they don't care one bit about their clients. It was my first time ever getting a storage, the process was quick and easy. Everyone was professional and relatable. I highly recommend this place because there are no hidden fees, everything was thoroughly explained to me. Let me start by saying, I agree with every one (1) star review on Yelp for this business Paramount Jackson Self Storage. You're not dealing with professionals here folks. The customer service is terrible from the District Manager Christine, (if she was really the district manager?) I can only go by what she told me, right down to management and the staff. I complained on the day I moved out, that I don't feel like I should have to pay the protection fee, and was told by a member of management that I would get a refund. Two (2) count them, two months past no refund. Now during this two month period I kept in direct contact with this office, verbal and written communications, without any response from anyone at this company. Now I know most would say "it's only $9.00" yes one of their managers said the same thing to me. It's not the $9.00 it's the principle of it all. You should be able to deline this so call protection fee. These people charge random fees for any and everything they can think of to charge you money. After two months I never got one response, an acknowledgement to any of my emails, not even a phone call. They oviously dont realize that the customers are why they are in business in the first place. When i didn't get a response from them i took my issue to the NBC4 I-Team, who in turned contacted their office who then forward that message from Channel 4 news team to their corporate office. It was only then that I received a correspondence stating my refund was in process. I received this $9.00 refund some 4-5 days later in a form of a check. Now the funny part is the correspondence received from their Corporate Office had the same customer service style as their Paramount Jackson Office. The person that sent that correspondence (Cindy M.)said, "This situaton is closed. Please understand we will not respond or comment to any other questions concerning this matter." Unsatisfactory customer service from corporate on down to the storage facility. Listen people these people would not have given me a refund had I not called and got the media involved. Do your homework, DO NOT WASTE ANY TIME WITH THIS COMPANY. They will take your money and Lord knows if you have a question it will definitely fall on deaf ears. I am now taking steps to make sure that companies like this get regulated with their fees. Starting with my congressman and the legislatures. These types of businesses have fell under the radar for too long. The whole company needs to be revamped starting with corporate down to management and staff and bring in some true customer service trained representatives who not only know how to take your money but knows how to verbalize a dialogue with you when you have a questions. read more

Horrible communication from this place. I have been at this facility for years and have 3 units. They have raised my fee 3 times in the last year and a half!! And do not bother to contact me to let me know at any time!!! Except of course if my bill is due and then they call every five minutes!! They're closed on holidays which is inconvenient. I finally closed on of my units today due to higher prices. Prorated bill of course except for the "insurance" that I had to pay in full for the month!! read more

The lady at the last place we went to tried to assist us by referring us to Bellflower, way to far for us. So I resorted to Yelp and found Paramount/Jackson Self Storage. The young man who assisted us was wonderful, pleasant and very professional. He answered all our questions, explained the do's and don'ts.
