This is a storage facility. I am going to be moving soon and need to get some stuff out of the house to make it easier to paint and repair, etc. We picked this location because they had a climate controlled unit - which I wanted. The place is easy to get to. The staff is nice. They have carts available for loan upon presentation of your driver license. It's clean. I feel like the security is good. I didn't get any names of the people yet, but everyone seems to be nice. My only problem is that the elevators dont always cooperate with the security system. So you push the elevator button, put in your code on the security pane and then hope that the Elevator Gods are smiling on you. I continue to have issues getting the elevator (The right side particularly) to cooperate. I'm gonna keep trying though. I would do business with this place again... read more

I really wanted to like this place, I did. The facility is clean and the staff are wonderful - they deserve a raise for having to work for such an awful company. I had rented and paid on-time every month; but the value just isn't there. This company will randomly try to raise the rent on you whenever they think they can get away with it. They make you sign evil contracts that prevent you from holding them accountable if they screw up - check the fine print. Their 'app' is awful and barely ever works, and you are forced to use it to access the facility via bluetooth - but it is so unreliable you can get stuck in the elevator just trying to get to your unit. Not to mention that if you move out one minute into a new month they will charge you for the WHOLE month - no pro-ration, nothing. Bet you they will still rent out your entire unit and pocket double the profit though. Absolute scam artists that are using their monopoly power to screw over the normal person. Avoid this place at all costs - but if you must, be kind to staff cause the people here are great. Just a shame the company is such a dirty rotten cheat. read more

Jessica Masters was extremely robotic when I came into the office today and expressed concern about the rent increase on my storage space. (This is after I called well within the posted office hours times WITHOUT a single call back) She cut me off and ROBOTICALLY went through the policies without so much as an apology for my experience. Completely void of any type of bedside manner! First: I understand what great customer service looks like AND this is NOT it! I work in customer service myself! And even if I can completely fix a customer's concern I can still address it with compassion and deliver the knees with a little more finesse. Second : if you are opening at 9:30am and your website says office hours start at 6am you should change your hours online to reflect what is actually taking place! When I presented Jessica with my follow up concerns she replied with the same robotic basic beige nature that she seems to favor. It's lackluster to say the least. I have been a Public Storage customer for a long time (moved a lot over the years, and utilized them to rent a storage space for work when necessary too). I had made a reservation, and when I tried to call to pay, they canceled it for no reason, but they told me I couldn't make another rental for 25 percent more than the original price. After that, I was told they had no similar units available, only ones inside, at a 50 percent price increase. Now I'm stuck with all my stuff, no unit, and a higher price. Customer service keeps sending me to talk to the manager, and the manager keeps sending me back to customer service. Everyone has different answers. I have had Public Storage for two years. They have raised the prices three times since I've had my storage. Recently, I was in an accident and I could not pay my bill at the time because I was in the hospital. I was completely harassed. They put a lien on my account. I have never been late. I have never, been so upset. They called me every day and I didn't have my phone when I first got the storage unit. It was $250. It is now $400. They added a $69 service fee. I am so upset with this customer service is so unprofessional, I will never use this service again and I don't suggest anybody do because it is overrated and overpriced! read more

We looked at two rental storages places on Cherry and Carson and this one was better by far. What really made a difference was Carolyn ! Very friendly , informative and helpful. Had multiple security cameras and you can use an APP to unlock the gate/elevator. We ended up renting a 10X10 space. read more

I just found out my space was burglarized after my school day stopping in to leave a couple of empty crates transients live there and ride their bicycles up and down smelling like booze and there seems to be no cameras because when I called the police and asked the office girls they didn't now and now I am forced to vacate right away and I'm a full-time student in mid terms at the moment not exactly what I wanted and I've left word for the district manager Mitch and let's see how quickly he responds and get back to me and I want to get to another storage in a safer area where they cannot cut with bolt cutters the wire mash up above which is how they access to my unit install and rummage through I highly recommend you do not rent here These are photos of what's left my luggage tag from South Coast Plaza the transients broke in and stole the luggage and filled it up with my brooks brothers leather coats and jackets and stole my flatscreen television right out the ceiling cutting a hole with wire cutters just the last two days I discovered it last night after class stopping in there to leave a couple of the items after paying my bill the night before early obviously there's no regard for safety and that you spent $300 a month on at space it's like throwing away your money I have a recommend do not rent here the staff is very nice then only go so far there should be cameras they should not allow homeless people to live in the unit and ride their bicycles up and down smelling like booze and casein out everyone's units which is what they did with mine and I was burglarized!!!! read more

I'm very upset about the new rent increase here which amounts to price gouging for 3 years of rental here as of today 8-3-22. I just received a increase to 222 for a 5x10 starting 9-1-22. I had just received a increase on 3-1-22 to 170. That's a second increase in 6 months! The going rate for new 5x10 rentals is only 153, and 170. On 2-9 21 I was paying 134 a reasonable rate for a 5X10. Furthermore all the surrounding cities have a rate also 153-170 ish. I've never been late so I have no idea why I'm being charged high above the going rate of 153 and seemed to be a price gouging penalty or punishment for being a loyal customer. I spoke to Tina the property manager who said this is unusual and put me in for a rate manager to review. The rate review was denied via a automated computer robot vm. The phone number for complaints has a 40 minute no answer on it so far 866-247-6620. So now I'm awaiting Tina to get back from her couple days off to let her know it was denied and see what to do. This rate is unacceptable due to being a 55% rate increase from 170 to 222 in 6 months and is high over the market rate of 153-170. For me this is the worst time to have to move to another unit due to circumstances and I do fear what if I moved went through the hassle what's to stop another 55% increase in 6 months. I've heard rates are going up very high throughout and seems to be price gouging and a bait and switch from the move in advertised rate. So my rates were as follows; Move in 8-26-19 110 2-10-20 increase to 122 2-9-21 increase to 134 3-1-22 increase to 170 9-1-22 increase to 222! Plus ins 11 233. Wtf!!! I saw another review of someone saying their 80 unit was increased by 80-100 dollars after move in. I will re contact Tina tomorrow and see if she can do anything. Only reason for two stars are the employees are nice. Elevator is broken for several days so only access is stairs. Security is minimal here and the worst policies for pricing. The Public Storage is so Disregardful to their Consumers. I say that because I had been with them since December 9, 2008. They have been price gouging since. Their rent went up every 2 to 3 months at a time. When I first signed up with them the rent was $31. Within just a month it went to $63.81. And within 2 months after that it spiked to $86 by March 10, 2010. It was $90. They had writtten me saying I was terminated just recently and told me I had to vacate by the end of this month with no explanation to why, I had to leave. I believe it was because I'm Petitioning them. I left on September 27, 2024. These are facts, I am Petitioning them now as we speak. So I have finally gotten around to writing this review. I was in the process of moving and wanted to make sure I was all moved out before the beginning of July. It just so happened that I was able to do that. On June 29th I realized I had lost my key to the storage unit during my move. Luckily I only had 3 items left in storage that was going to Goodwill. I called and spoke with Tena (sp?) and told her my dilemma but also told her it was only 3 items and I didn't need them. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to get them out or they will put a lien on me. She also said that her area manager, Mitch Meissner, comes once a month and if I hurry to any Public Storage and fill out a cut the lock form she can give it to him. Perfect!! So I rush to the nearest PS and was told that they didn't share the same area manager and things were done differently there. He called my PS and spoke with Carolyn and then Tena and then Mitch. Low and behold Mitch was in the office which was never mentioned to me. I spoke with Mitch and asked how long had he been in the office and he said all morning. Shocked because Tena never said he was there. I then proceeded to tell him that Tena never said he was there to which he replied, "They know not to bother me when I'm in my office". WTH!!! Anyway......Mitch says to hurry up and fill out the form and email it so he can cut the lock. No problem! Done! I proceed to drive to my PS and this is where the shit hit the fan! I walk in and both Tena and Carolyn are at the desk. I ask to speak with Tena......Carolyn points her out. I asked Tena if she knew if Mitch cut the lock. Simple question right??!! Apparently not because Tena became rude and belligerent! She proceeded to tell me that Mitch didn't say anything to her, that I needed to check myself and she wasn't my personal assistant. She also stated that people have been getting on her all day. I told that had nothing to do with me. Of course I had to raise my voice because I don't know who she thought she was talking to. I told her her customer service was horrible and it was up to her to check about the lock being cut. Carolyn stepped in and said she would go check. I went with her. Lock was cut but a different lock was put on. We get back to the office and Carolyn tells Tena this but Tena starts raising her voice at Carolyn asking her what color was the lock. Carolyn didn't know so Tena had to go check. Tena came back and said the storage unit was now unlocked. Of course I called the area manager Mitch Meissner and left a message and he never returned my call. Now I completely understand why the employees have a bad attitude. read more

They are rude. My unit inside upstairs was broken into. They did nothing about it. Did not even replace my locks. They said they did not show the PD the video footage. Told me it was my problem I did not purchase their insurance. Gave them my key and replacement lock to use after they replaced the lock. Then they said they did not have the key, I would need to wait 4 to 5 days to have them cut my lock. If I did not like it I could pay a locksmith! When I got angry and hung up, they called back to say they did have the key. They then gave me grief and were rude when I picked up the key. The place is not safe and you do not want to deal with these rude incompetent people. Your stuff is not safe!! read more

I seem to have nothing but problem s whenever I deal with public storage I recently lost my I'd so needed my mother to check out a storage for me however since I paid I needed to sign all the documents they say then once I sign it I get a call 3 days later saying wrong documents are signed And she needs to come sign the write ones then I come down over the weekend to pick up some of my stuff and they put a lock on it and won't let me in until she comes down and signs everything screw you public storage second time I receive horrible service I will never use again read more

We have been renting from this Public Storage for a year with no problems. Our unit has been safe and the one time, early in our contract, I failed to lock my unit properly I received a call warning me of the problem. The staff are kind. My only complaints have been the lack of dollies that are locked up and require your license as collateral during use, and the constant habit other renters have of leaving their things in the hallways and elevators causing a mess. read more

Just signed up this afternoon, asked multiple times when they closed and mentioned I wanted to move some stuff in today before closing. Showed up with my last load at 4:48, asked to use a dolly and was told they don't give them out less than 15 min before closing. I'm sure this is buried somewhere in the rental contract but it was not mentioned to me at all when I told them I had stuff to move in today. Had to carry all the boxes up to the unit myself.
