Sebring, Florida. Passed it on a previous trip through here and I'm thinking maybe we should have passed it by this time as well. The parking lot is always full so I reasoned that it must be spectacular. It was good, but not that memorable. We had standard breakfast fare: a western omelete and an order of griddle cakes. The emphasis seems to be on huge size but quality suffers somewhat. Good service, but not great. We kept comparing today's breakfast with the out-of-this-world breakfast we had the day before in Fort Lauderdale, and the Sebring Diner came up short. read more

Wow yummy ! No frozen cysco burgers here ! The patty melt was deliciously juicy without being greasy, the rye was crispy. The nutty melted swiss went great with the perfectly cooked medium rare patty which was seasoned ! That you chef, for salting the burgers ! read more

Excellent service especially during hurricane Irma. Good food and it's reasonable. My kid dropped some food without noticing and they told her not to stand up till they clean it up so she doesn't fall. Our waitress told us how to get here the back way from Miami! Awesome! read more

The food is decent and the prices are relative to the area. The service has need of improvement. We waited for quite a while before anyone noticed or asked to seat us. Ordered the short stack chocolate chip pancakes with a side of bacon. Both cooked perfectly, pancakes weren't overly chocolates, just the right amount. Sucks they don't do unlimited refills on sodas since they sell them by the can. Wait time for service was average. Staff very pleasant. Kinda loud atmosphere- between the guests and staff talking, and someone very loudly stacking dishes, you couldn't hear any music, not even sure if they had any. read more

Since the diner went to 24/7 meals both the food & Service have gone downhill. Employee work 12 hr shifts & seem over worked. Stopped for dinner after several months, the daily special was just terrible. Waitress didn't seem to care. I will not go back it was the third time over the last year and the Food was never really great. read more

We're local to the area and the Diner is one of our go-to favorites. The only reason I didn't give it a full five stars is that they close at 3pm daily. I would understand if they closed early in the off season, but it would seem they would have plenty of customers for dinner in the winter. We're less than 50 yrs old and sometime like to have dinner a little later than mid-afternoon! Both my wife and I have tried many different items there and I don't think we've ever been disappointed. Tuna salad is awesome, chicken and grape salad is great, sandwiches (reubens, cubans, clubs, etc) are delicious, chef salads (homemade blue cheese dressing), caesar salads, fried green tomatoes...I could go on, we've tried many items and have always left more than satisfied. I always find it very clean, the service is attentive and it really has a true Diner vibe. I grew up in NJ, so I feel like I know Diners pretty well. If you're in town, it's worth the visit and the wait during the busy hours. read more

My last review of 3 stars on 10/7/14, needs a big downgrade. The quality of what they are serving has dropped IMHO. I ordered a country fried steak dinner on 12/1/17, which was just awful. It use to consist of two good sized and tasting pre-made patties, but no longer. They've had some brain storm about making their own "homemade" items. In theory, a nice idea, but the end result should be better food. What was on my plate was the toughest piece of trash I've ever been served, being called a country fried steak. There is a steakhouse in Lake Wales which makes their own, and it's great. So homemade can work, if someone there can actually cook. Even the now homemade corn muffin was awful. While the diner looks inviting from it's appearance, do your palate a favor and keep driving. read more

Came down to visit family and got hungry, found this cute diner. we walked in thinking it was going to be great food like every diner I been too, but I have to say the food was disgusting I kinda had to force myself to eat it Because almost all my family did not like what they where eating. And i didn't really want to put all the att. on us. Only the kids liked their food cuz it was fried food! Thumbs down on this place! It was a nice clean diner and had good food. 2 of us had the pot roast which was a really large amount of food and very tender. 1 had the pastrami which was good but certainly not as large as the ones you find in NYC. Another had a deli sandwich and added the onion rings, which again was a really large portion size. The onion rings are very wide so if you like the "skinnier" style onion rings then these are not for you. Good place to stop if you are in the Sebring/Lake Wales area and prices are very reasonable. read more

Best place in town with a wide variety of menu items. If your a coffee lover this is the place to go. Best breakfast in Highlands County and a nice place to meet up with friends. We've been there for breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Sometimes you may have to wait in line but it's well worth the wait. read more

Hi. I work at the Sebring Diner and the bad reviews are a shame. We (the staff) all try our best to accommodate everyone but you can't please everyone. We ask that you tell your waitress if something is wrong so we can fix it or change your order. The time to complain is not at the register when we can't do anything to fix it and the time to complain is especially not after you have eaten everything on your plate. The owners are the same for the last 8 years and are lovely people to work for. We get thousands of customers a week with 90 percent happy customers. No one's perfect, no place is perfect, but you can be assured we try to be. We want our customers happy. Also, we strive to give good service, the kitchen staff strives to put out great food.
