Bob Evan's has good food at affordable prices. The portions are large. The atmosphere is very relaxing with a down home country decor. I have eaten here several times for breakfast and lunch with friends. My go to is the oatmeal with fruit. The chicken & turkey dinners are delicious. The servers are friendly & very attentive. I lived in PA for many years and for a long period of time, when my family wanted a chain restaurant breakfast, this was it! I've long since graduated to preferring family-owned places but every once in a while, I go back to them for nostalgia purposes! Arriving- It's on the southbound side of US Route 27 so it's a snap to find. Plenty of parking. OK wi-fi with no password. Clean restrooms up front by the cash registers. If there is a line, there are a few seats inside you use while you wait. Pro Tip- Like many restaurants in this area, stay away from mid to late morning on Sundays as you'll hit the after-church crowd madness! Ambience- You've seen it before now you can see it again. Like all the others it's got decent lighting and it's nice and clean. Your choice of booths or a table and seated by a hostess. Customer Service- A little off and it was only at 1/3 capacity or so. I was seated with a menu immediately. Server showed up with my first coffee within a minute. No smile and a little curt. He stopped back on time to take my order and delivered it quickly. He never checked back to see if my food was OK. It was tough to get a coffee refill and a challenge to get a check. The lady at the cash register was awesome! Overall, just OK. Food- Expect the ubiquitous, giant, laminated menu with about a bazillion choices. Note that it is kid friendly. I went with the Southwest Avocado Omelet. It was a three-egg omelet filled with ground sausage, fire-roasted corn & black beans and cheddar cheese. Topped with avocado, diced tomatoes and cilantro lime cream sauce. I went with home fries and biscuits all for about $13. Note that this is a great price for the area. The biscuits came out first which gave me something to nibble on while I waited on the entrée. They were fine but not warm enough. The omelet was large and excellent with lots of fillings! The cilantro lime cream sauce was assertive, went well with everything and really made the dish. The home fries were fine. Overall, a very filling, surprisingly tasty breakfast at a decent price! I know it's a chain and I would have appreciated a little better service but with all the variety on the menu it's a solid choice! read more

Awful experience. We arrived on Saturday, January 11, 2025 around 8pm-ish. It was absolutely freezing inside. It was freezing outside too. I even asked a gentleman who worked there, and our server, if the heat was on. The gentleman said, "I don't know". I ordered coffee to warm up. The server said she had a fresh pot on...great! The coffee was cold. My husband went to the men's room but returned quickly saying that it was "dirty" with urine on the floor as well. We kept our coats on. Cold surroundings...cold coffee...dirty restrooms....what would the food be like and how clean is the kitchen? Just about the same, they're cooked by steam which means no extra oil. Of course, just because I had my eggs healthy doesn't mean the rest of my delicious breakfast one. I killed those home fries. A nice mix of lightly done and more well done on my plate, they were very good if perhaps bland. It's just potatoes. The biscuit was excellent. Nice and light. The first half picked up the egg yolk. ate tonight at Bob evans lake wales location. haven't been there in a while, wanted chicken pot pie, don't make it anymore. ordered pot roast which is always delicious. not tonight, carrots were raw... meat was not fresh, when they put the meat/ gravy in the plate they just slopped in on the plate and didn't clean up the slop on the side of the dish. my husband got turkey, tasted old, dry. told waitres, she apologized ( not her fault) she told manager who didn't seem to give a darn. manager said she checked on the carrots when our server told her and they were now cooked..... no way we're those done in less than 5 minutes. very very disappointing meal. Went today to the Bob Evans in Sebring. Service was very good, I believe his name was Paul, BUT, the food was not so good. Both of our meals came with biscuits. They were harder than HOCKEY PUCKS, we didn't complain, I've found that when you question the staff, or food, they retaliate somehow. And, people shouldn't have to complain about a food item. If the staff doesn't keep track of their own products, they shouldn't be working. We used to go to the Bob Evans in Sebring, quite often, but the last few times, the food was not the best. We travel quite a bit, so we stop at places that we know what to expect. And if this was the first Bon Evans, that we ever visited, we wouldn't have ever gone back. This is a great Bob Evans, however, on our last visit, the greeter or seater took us to our table with all the enthusiasm of a mortician escorting the bereaved to a viewing. We said we wanted a table for two and she walked off. We looked at each other, " Are we supposed to follow her?" Being the adventurous and hopeful sort, we did. She slapped two menus down on a table and walked away. We decided to sit down anyway. Soon the waiter came and it was one we'd had before. He was tremendously friendly and conscientious and we were in good hands from that moment forward. We enjoyed being entertained by watching other tentative patrons cautiously following the greeter in and timidly sitting at tables. The food, as always, was top notch and, obviously, this is meant to be a critique of the greeter. I've never seen her at this Bob Evans before, but if you happen upon her, just meekly follow her to the table because the rest of the journey is worth it. Footnote to this review: the greeter has "warmed" up to her job and is much more pleasant. Maybe it was just a bad day the first time we crossed paths. This is first and foremost, a wonderfully clean Bob Evans. They currently offer some specials for summer: candied bacon (app) and Chicken Sliders. The Chicken Slider has chicken salad (with grapes) on one of their dinner rolls. Very delicious and you have a choice of sides or you can just get the chicken salad sammy. Went today, after not dining at that location for over a year. We stopped going there, because the food, and service was terrible. We decided to try it again, today. Big mistake. Service was good and the wait person was very apologetic. We ordered our food, within 10 minutes, my son, and myself received our food. 15 minutes later, my wife had still not received hers. She only ordered a salad, nothing fancy. I asked to speak to the manager. 5 minutes later a woman, who said that she was the manager, came to the table, I explained to her, that this delay, was not acceptable, and that after this visit, we will not be back. Her words were, OK, and walked away. After my wife finally received her food, the so called manager, never returned to the table, to check if things were corrected. NOTHING. Bob Evans management, is lacking, any kind of professionalism. LIKE I SAID, WE WILL NOT BE BACK. Over the weekend I had two visits to Bob Evans. Both visits I went for breakfast and both visits the food was delicious. For a chain restaurant this is one of my favorites, especially for breakfast. This particular location was clean and staff very friendly. For the most part seating and service was prompt, even on a Sunday morning visit. I had the new egg, sausage and cheese ciabatta bread sandwich. The egg normally comes scrambled, I asked for the egg over easy instead of scrambled they did it without hesitation. The bread was soft and delicious, I was surprised at how large the sandwich was, I defiantly wasn't expecting a breakfast sandwich to be this big. I have to also complement Bob Evans on their sausage, they have some of the nest sausage around. If you like sweets they have delicious pumpkin and banana bread along with some amazing varieties of muffins. While they looked amazing I did not try them, I can only hope they are nearly as good as they look. I did have a stack of Apple Cinnamon pancakes. It was served with cream cheese icing, apples and nuts. These were the best stack of pancakes I have ever eaten! Withe they had about a million calories they were so worth it. Then I had to ask for more gravy because they sent my food out with hardly any on it. My husband then ordered a piece of their strawberry pie, we waited and waited, finally an assistant manager came out and said that they had accidentally threw his pie away and were not able to make him another piece. And then she actually asked us if we wanted her to take the pie off of our bill!! We will not be going back, to say the least.. read more
