The food tgus time was best in 8 months. Chicken tendees great, FINALLY breaded! Beer ice cold. Bartender best she could be. Now, on the down side Food came out wrong. Second time still wrong but took it. The runner blonde was fast, but so fast she only dropped off everyones food and bolted. Had to get silverware , dishes, napkins. Then to correct the order not made right, again with two sides hotsauce. The bartendees is great, on the ball. She had to FINALLY get the attention in the cook to get trash which was overflowing, dumped. She had so many glasses all the time, the bar to clear off and zero help. She was SO busy with being the only one to handle all of the dining drinks it was hard to tend to the bar itself. This bar needs to not take advantage of good help.Hire someone to barback, check on the floor with guests, etc. read more

I had gone there last Saturday for a mid afternoon burger. I sat at the bar, it was pretty empty around 4-5 pm and I looked at the menu. I remember I previously had a black and blue burger in the past and it was good! This time I ordered it, I paid 15$ for a Mac Donald's burger. The meat was as thin as the fast food restaurants. Totally unimpressed and unacceptable. I reluctantly ate the burger, piled high with lettuce and a thick tomato, but absolutely lacked the 1/2 lb burger they claim to use. I wondered why neighboring restaurants were very busy, and this was empty, now I know why. Will not go back.... read more

Last evening I called to order a Southwest Chicken dinner, I was told they no longer had it on their menu and she proceeded to tell me what the newest changes were. One being a Southwest steak dinner. It was awful due to the mashed potatoes and full of blue cheese. Here is the problem concerning Dock 633- they never have updated menu's online. So annoying! I took two bites of this meal and tossed into the garbage y $31.00 meal wasting my money . If I had been able to fin an upgraded menu from Dock 633, I could've read the ingredients of of this southwest steak dinner and I would have never ordered it. In the fact it was very pricey. Dock 633, whoever the owner is do better! Stop being so lazy and keep up with your menus online for your customers. The idea of changing your menu twice a year doesn't make sense if they don't renew their menu's when they make change. read more

Well this was definitely an experience. We started with the lobster bisque soup which was yummy, and hubby wanted a fried onion ring which was just right and not overly seasoned like Outback Steakhouse. I had already ordered the Texmex egg rolls which were done just right in the fryer. We split it with a table next to us because it was way too much for just us two and we were ordering more. Hubby had the brisket Mac and cheese which was awesome. I had the 3 cheese pork belly sandwich with slaw just awesome goodness that could give me a happy heart attack (in a good way). I thought that was it but hubby wanted the key lime in a jar which ended up in a tall glass with Nilla wafers and vanilla wafers and dusted with caramel sugar crystals. Decadent and way too much but if we kicked the bucket we'd die happy from such great food and service from Sydney. read more

We'll have to say I'm not impressed with this place. They had a sign up to seat yourself. But then had no one there paying any attention to those walking in the door. Tried ti get a few servers attention but they just ignored us. So we walked out. If you KNOW you don't have any seating available post a sign on the door that your full. As for the ambiance it needs work. We had issues walking through the restaurant trying to even see if there were any seating. It's a very small space and needs reworked so you have space to walk. And servers need to pay attention to people walking in the door. read more

Waited over a hr n half for Chicken tenders so tuff could not cut with a knife several people at table had same issue with their orders. Could not find waitress to let her know. Only had her stop by 3 times from time we put order in and received meal.went to bartender more than once for refills and eventually she told us to take up with your server even after we said love to but can't find her for over a hr. Also we weren't the only tables going to bartender for drinks or wondering the place looking for servers read more

I really like the fact this is the closest restaurant to my lake house. I pinch myself with joy every time I drive by! Yay and ooo, what is going on today?! Good chance of live music or some event, for sure!*checks facebook for schedule* There is an entire menu that always looks good, but I have to admit I have only tried 3-4 items that I return to repeatedly every visit, since they are so fantastically done. Solid 10/10 must have is the Dock Onion, the overized whole giant onion with well done onion petals, with the perfect house dipping sauce. The Dock cheeseburger is always exactly how I order it, substantial but still leaves room for apps and dessert. Sitting outside is nice, but can get a bit wet on the rainest of days. Always had terrific servers with numerous refills on the tea. Keep up the good work! read more

Where should I start... it was amazing from cocktails to dessert!!! Pictures included. We all had a little different options and everything was amazing. Staff was great, friendly, and reasonably priced. Literally a 6 star read more

You are definitely going to be in with the locals if you stop in here! A destination for beers, drinks, and bar fare makes a great stop if you're looking for friendly service. Located in a residential area, takes you a little off the beaten path, but worth it as one of the few restaurants in the area that is not strictly fast food. Not too fancy but hits the spot with some nice options they will make everybody in the crowd happy. Read appetizer selection that included boom, boom shrimp, which was a generous portion of lightly crisp, shrimp, and a nice spicy sauce. Our group had some of the burgers, and the grouper (fish and chips), which were voted some of the best we've ever tried. Recommend that you check out Dock 633 when you're in this neck of the woods! read more

Was very disappointed this week. We stopped in around 4:30 to have dinner. The place was pretty much empty hardly anyone at the bar which is so unusual cause you can never get a seat there to play bar poker. They no longer make the hamburgers custom I couldn't order one medium rare. They now make them pressed only which they explained comes out medium well. Their pork tenderloin sandwich that used to cover the entire plate was reduced to half the size and half the thickness it didn't come with any mayonnaise so we asked for blue cheese dressing and then we were charged $1.50 for it. Curious of management change the changed our ownership changed. This was a very different experience for us after 3 years of frequenting this location As our favorite local hangout! On top of that only one staff member was familiar that was working the rest of the staff, including the bartender was new for us. We're so used to good stiff drinks at dock 633. We were very surprised at how different our drinks were as well. Got to be new management or new owners that changed this entire establishment from what we been accustomed to for three years. Gonna be pepped to convince my husband to go back after this experience. read more

Recommended by locals. Went for lunch on a Monday afternoon. Was a bit dreary but we sat outside under cover. Bartender, servers-super nice! So friendly and helpful. I ordered the pretzel board, more because I was interested in the visual of how it would come out. Such a great idea with this. If you like soft pretzels and cheese this is for you! Friend got the fish tacos and said they were very good. Cons-the bar area is very dark, weirdly so. The outside seating area could def been spruced up a bit, it look dirty/worn. Not sure I would go again because I have better food at other local places but I'm glad we tried it. read more

Sydney is one of the worst servers I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. Love the food and atmosphere, not rude wait staff.

Had dinner here last night. No longer dog friendly except for service dogs, and they do add a surcharge for using a credit card. Food was acceptable, but not terrific. Will think twice before returning. read more

Raised prices on everything. Ridiculous. Service was good. Even food was good but when we saw an up charge for using our credit card to pay that was enough to keep us from returning. I don't think this is recovering increase in food costs. Just an opportunity to cash in. Pure greed. read more

Great service. Food is excellent. I recommend the smoked fish appetizer. Other delights are schnitzel, Mac and cheese burger and Buffalo Chicken salad. Priced nicely. read more

Huge portions. Decent beer selections and a nice atmosphere. Booth and table seating as well as bar. Overall it was chill and reasonable prices! Sadly everything we got was fried-pickles, mushrooms, and onion...brussel sprouts were super yum, and others in our group said the shrimp and fish were also really good! Fries are unique good spices. No cool view, but super close to the lake and good for a quick bite. Thanks ! read more

The food was tasty, abundant and the service was excellent! Had a black n blue burger and it was very tasty. The bacon on top was thick and plentiful! My wife has the loaded tater tots. Needless to say, we brought some food back to the house and enjoyed another meal on Thursday. read more

Food and service. Two bad experiences here. Will not willingly go back. Food was poor. Service not acceptable.

Well, I am not able to say anything about the food because I did not eat it. We came with the family, 3 children and 4 adults, last night and the restaurant was full. The only reason we were seated quickly was because a lovely couple gave up their table. We were not greeted by our waitress until about 10 minutes later. She was pleasant and took our drink and food order. The drinks came out about another 10 min later. We waited, and waited- after an hour and a half, yes, that long of a wait time, no food, no waitress giving any updates, nothing... we left. So no way to review the food here- but much to say of the service. At the very least, the waitress should have come out to update, apologize... something! read more

Bbq quesadilla was fantastic but the slaw that came with it wasn't very good. Drinks were ice cold. My friends fish tacos left something to be desired, stick with the bbq! My wife and I eat at Dock 633 often and the food and service are always consistent and great. However, last night [2/7/2025] I noticed a sneaky little charge on my bill that, to me, is outrageous--a $2.60 charge for ice added to a drink! Given the profit margin on alcoholic drinks, there should be no charge for ice. If you have 3 drinks, the charge accounts for an extra drink that you did not get. Not good business practice--for frozen water--Yikes! it may give me second thoughts about going there as they seem to be the only one charging for ice! read more

This place goes up and down. They have a regular crowd that gets served first. The food and prices are what you'd expect for a local establishment. I prefer over Jaxsons which is down the road. Usually cleaner and with better clientele. read more

Boom. Place is awesome! Timberly is the best waitress ever. Incredible bbq, drinks and service. 100% recommended!

My sister and brother-in-law were vacationing on the east side of Florida and wanted to meet us for lunch. We decided we would drive half way and meet in the middle rather than one group doing the entire drive. There were a few different routes we could have taken but one choice was Lake Placid. In reading reviews, Dock 633 seemed like it would suit everyone best. It offered a wide range of food choices and had some of the best reviews for the area. In fact, one review stated it was the best place to eat in Lake Placid. Dock 633 has the feel and ambiance of a local gathering place near a lake that has served the area for generations. It's well-worn and comfortable, as well as, clean and welcoming. Totally a come-as-you-are gathering place that caters to family and community. It's the type of place that you go to after ballgames, being out on the lake or when you want to watch a game at a bar. Everyone there seemed to know each other. I've been to a number of places that fit this description and most of them fall into the A-okay category. We were all really impressed with the quality of the food and reasonable prices. Our party of four each ordered something different. The Triple Decker Club was beautiful. You can tell when top quality ingredients are used. Even better - it tasted great. The quesadilla had a wonderfully crisp tortilla casing that held up to the evenly cooked ingredients inside. It's one of the best quesadilla's I've had in Florida in the last year. The Breaded Fish had a nice outside crunch and flaky inside. The French Fries were hot and crisp. My sister said they were perfect; high praise from her! The Grilled Mahi was nicely seasoned and got a thumbs up from my brother-in-law. Dock 633 is totally fan-worthy. I'm giving them 4 stars. We would definitely return if we were coming back to the area. read more

There are places that think they are a restaurant and also have a bar. Then there are bars that also have food. Make no mistake, this is a bar first that also serves decent food. PRO TIP- If you are not familiar with Lake Placid, fire up your GPS. These folks are not downtown. ATMOSPHERE- At the bar itself it's quite dark. When you get the menu you might need your cell phone flashlight. When I was there it was clear there were many regulars. I was not one of them but was instantly made to feel at home. In addition to the bar there is plenty of seating both inside and outside. BTW- It doesn't look like much from the outside but don't let that turn you away. ADULT LIBATIONS- This is a small town bar in Highlands County folks. If you are looking for a pretentious specialty drink with seven ingredients and the bartender polishing a crystal glass, man oh man are you in the wrong place. Grab yourself a brew including a few crafts or a house wine. A marg is fine of course. I'd like to see the bartender's face if you asked for an ingredient to be muddled! FOOD- The menu is extensive including a few steaks but when it's all said and done the core is bar food and that is just fine. I ordered a cheeseburger and I noticed that one of my side options was waffle fries. Oh I love those bad boys! All together it was about $10. My meal arrived and if you see my pic it was nicely plated and cooked to perfection. It was slightly marred by a cold bun which is one of my hot buttons! How many conversations like this do you think take place- "Hi Mr./Ms. waitperson. I'd like a HOT juicy burger medium please. Add lettuce and tomato to that. I'd also like some nice HOT waffle fries. BTW- Please make sure my burger bun is COLD. It's soooo much better that way!" Arrrghhhhh! Grill the G*d D**n bun! Venting done but it really was a very nice burger and the fries were well seasoned and excellent. When I return to Lake Placid this will be one of a few places high on my list. read more
