    Crunchy Wings

We stopped in for a snack (lol) and a couple drinks and are surprisingly impressed. Leah was amazing and the cook did a great job on our fried mushrooms and "crunchy wings" that we will certainly be back.

Awesome Food. Good Atmosphere. Service is very social. Lake Placid Class of 1984

As you can see in a previous post the difference between Sebring beef o Brady's wings which were terrible , and then these wings from beef o Brady's in lake placid which are the best wings in highlands county . They aren't slimy , they are cooked perfectly crisp. The meat is white the bone is clean . The meat isn't pink. The sauce was perfect. Who ever is in charge of the food at Beef o Brady's in lake placid knows what they are doing . The fryer oil is clean , and you can tell they actually care . Keep up the good work

I absolutely don't recommend for food if u need a place to sit and waste time this is your place. Not only did I place an order and wait patiently two hours for my food they didn't even give me it I got a cupon for my trouble. Their excuses are as simple ass the white rice is cooking two hours later no rice I didn't bash them maby a bad night. I went back with my cupon and received cold food after waiting an additional 35 minutes longer than expected for my food had to go back inside and ask them to microwave my meal I highly don't recommend just this location in Florida

Chicken Fajita (chicken over cooked and taste wasn't to appealing.

Solid 10/10 must have is the Dock Onion, the overized whole giant onion with well done onion petals, with the perfect house dipping sauce. The Dock cheeseburger is always exactly how I order it, substantial but still leaves room for apps and dessert. Sitting outside is nice, but can get a bit wet on the rainest of days. Always had terrific servers with numerous refills on the tea. Keep up the good work!

I'm a non-smoker but I tolerated it because I enjoyed the people and the other aspects of the atmosphere. After 15 years, as of January 1st, the Tap Room is now NON-SMOKING! My lungs are very happy! Management is taking steps to remove as much of the odor as they can. Other than this big news, this is your typical dive bar- * Cheap drinks * TouchTunes Jukebox * Pool tables and dart boards * Occasional live entertainment * No food other than packaged snacks Pro Tip- They have a back entrance with easy parking. It's not fancy but it's used more than the front door! Note that the parking lot is a disaster and needs to be repaved. Drive in slowly! Atmosphere- Like many dive bars, the crowd varies from day to night. The crowd is older and more sedate during the day and younger and a bit rowdier at night. The TouchTunes jukebox is extremely popular here with many folks using the app on their phones. Genres played are mostly Classic Rock and Country with a little Pop occasionally thrown in. The bar is very large and is a bit unusual as there are both low and high chairs in different sections. Note that many of the low chairs desperately need to be replaced so choose carefully where you sit your thirsty ass down! Adult Libations- The big joke is the Tap Room has no taps! That's right, no drafts here but plenty of mostly domestic bottles and a full liquor bar. Bartenders- This place has 5 bartenders plus an excellent manager that often tends bar. The bartender's range in age from 30s to 70s. They are generally decent with some more conversational than others. Now that's NON-SMOKING, I'd love to give it 5 stars but the parking lot and the collection of crappy chairs hold me at 4!

The decor is classic 50s roadside diner with old license plates on the wall, an old pickup truck outside and a TV on ESPN by my table. The menu is classic Americana / diner fare with a southern touch. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

I've eaten here many times, but this time my meal was exceptional! Arriving- This place is out in the boondocks of Avon Park! Trust your GPS to get you started. Once you are closing in there is excellent signage. Of course, you're parking at the clubhouse and there is a decent lot. Watch out for golf carts! Atmosphere- This is a golf club restaurant that is open to the public. It's a big, bright, airy place with two large rooms and a beautiful bar. As many of the customers are just off the golf course, it's very casual. It has quite a few TVs for catching a game but it's definitely not a sports bar. Customer Service- Our server was a bit of a mix. She was very new, very nice, but lacking in knowledge. With a little time, I think she'll be great. Food- A combo of unique and classic American fare. You've got your burgers, chicken parm and alfredo dishes. There is a selection of flatbreads that are awesome, and a giant pretzel served with warm beer cheese that is incredible to share! I was on a mission. I had seen an 8 oz. skirt steak with chimichurri on the menu. It's not often I see chimichurri and I was drooling. I paired it with some fries and looked forward to an amazing lunch. It was out in good time. For a lunch plate, it was a very nice presentation. The nicely seared steak was coated with chimichurri with some additional served on the sided. The pickled onions were a nice touch. The fries were beautifully cooked. The steak was fantastic and a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri was bursting with flavor and the fries were exceptional! The meal was an easy five stars, but the service was a bit off. And in Sebring, that means you walk into the cool Irish pub on the circle and soak it all in. The interior alone makes it worth the visit. Dark wood, warm lighting, that cozy tucked-away pub feel that makes you forget you are in the middle of Florida. It feels transported. It is one of those places in Sebring that you just have to see because it is so unexpectedly cool inside. Service was great. I was there for a quick in and out, so I sat at the bar and kept it simple with a chicken Caesar salad. Nothing fancy. For the price, it was very fair, and the flavor held up. No complaints. It did exactly what it needed to do, which was give me a solid meal in a comfortable setting without overcomplicating things. Now let's talk about Sebring itself. Sebring is one of those towns in the middle of nowhere Florida where you find yourself thinking, "I wonder what it would be like to live here?" while also scratching your head a little. It reminds me of The Villages before The Villages became The Villages. There is a concept there. It is adorable. It is charming. And most of the time, it is very, very quiet. Personally, I would go stir crazy living there full time. But I can absolutely see the appeal. And to be fair, Sebring is not always sleepy. It comes alive during major events like the legendary 12 Hours of Sebring at Sebring International Raceway, which draws racing fans from all over the world. There is also the Sebring Soda Festival, the Highlands County Fair, and various car shows and seasonal events that suddenly flood the town with energy. During those times, I imagine the entire vibe shifts. If I were to come back, it would be for one of those big events or for some serious antique shopping, because that is where this area quietly shines. Gavaghans fits perfectly into that Sebring personality. Cozy. A little unexpected. Solid. Worth stepping into. Even if you are not an Irish pub person, it is one of those spots that makes you think, okay... I get it.
