Bar tenders kept walking past a guy and paid no attention to him. I think 4 ppl bar tenders walked past him to go to tables and ignored him. He tried to get someone's attention with no luck. He put his wallet and credit card out, but that didn't help. Finally, our bartender came back near us finally and asked if we wanted another round but completely ignored him. I said, yes we need drinks, but he would like something, take care of him first. We ordered food and the guy put our food literally on top of our cards while in the middle of playing and trying to dab the cards. Why he didn't put it next to us was beyond me. Overall, I love the place but def some off moments. However, I'm excited to see the new build out and how big it will be.

I have been wanting to go to the Pub at Ave Maria for years now and I finally did just that. We sat…read moreat the bar and had a couple Guinness and apps and enjoyed ourselves. Our first impression was not too favorable. It is a pub in ave Maria in downtown, I was expecting dark walls and ceilings with dark wood booths and bars. I got a white drop down ceiling and a white tin ceiling, white tile backsplash in the bar, no booths and hardly any dark wood. The food was very good, pretzels and garlic knots. The knots were soft and chewy, could of used more garlic and cheese. The pretzels were chewy and almost fried with a delicious cheese sauce for dipping. Prices were good and service was excellent.

Even the beer flights were served on a paw-shaped board, which was so cute. There was live music happening outside, which added a great vibe, but we decided to stay inside and hang out. They had games like Jenga and card games available, which made it really easy to just relax and enjoy time with friends. We ordered a beer flight and the staff was super friendly that even let us try a few options before deciding. Overall, such a cool and unique spot, especially if you're a dog person. I'd definitely come back next time I'm in Lake Placid.

The hostess was very friendly and welcoming and I opted for the wraparound bar since I was alone. I ordered the fish n chips since I wanted a traditional English pub dish. I always love it when a new restaurant opens in my Highlands County and this place debuted in…read moreNovember. It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!

Walking in was a fun surprise, it was the best Irish Pub experience! Lots of wood all around, the tables, the bar, the walls, dim but cozy lighting, tables and chairs everywhere. It was very inviting! You order at the bar, which is think is a traditional Irish Pub way, our bartender was great and made some awesome drinks that absolutely made up for our day! We had two of the featured drinks, one was a watermelon tonic and the other was an old fashioned and they were made perfectly! We didn't get to try the food, we just came for drinks and we were not let down!

Wife ordered the fish & chips. Just OK. Fries were not crispy, still a little white. Cole slaw was bland. I ordered the Guiness beef stew. Dish was only warm, not hot. Flavor was good, not great. Not enough to complain to anyone working there. But certainly would not recommend the place for the food. Plenty of places to drink and root for your team, has options for inside and out. Found a quiet enough place inside, but no TV around. Probably why it was quiet. Thanks, but we'll be trying something else next time.
