We loved our experience at The Pub. It is a great British pub with lots of beers to choose from, along with other drinks. The decor is awesome- wood all over, British memorabilia around the inside. 1st time trying this and I am pleasantly surprised! I've passed this place year after year and never thought to stop but I'm glad I did. I came for a haddock fish fry! Service was fantastic. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Our server Christina was nice and quick to recommend some options for us and give us feedback on our selections. The ambiance is cool. Anything outdoors in Mercato is 5/5 but this place has an English pub built inside and is really fun looking. They have a great selection of liquors and beers so you're bound to be happy! As far as the food goes it was amazing. They do have a happy hour so be sure to check out that menu! For our dinner we ordered the Ruben Egg rolls which were out of this world! I don't even like sauerkraut but these were so mild and the corned beef was sliced thick and really provided most of the flavor in the rolls. Totally worth getting. The fish fry was just like I'd have at home in Buffalo! Haddock is the best white, flaky fish in my opinion and I'm so glad they don't serve cod or pollock. In Naples Mercato, for a special event, Santa Paws. Santa Claus sits by the Christmas tree for photo opportunity and you can bring your doggies as well! We visited The Pub for dinner prior to take picture with Santa! The décor is dark and warm inside, airy on the outside. Tonight, soft live music was provided by a soloist but I did not get her name. The main attraction is the large bar with an excellent selection of beers and drinks. Local Floridian beers are available as well popular beers from UK! I ordered a Smithwick Red Ale paired with their signature Fish and Chip. A huge piece of beer-battered Haddock over French Flies was cooked to perfection. Crunchy batter with moist Haddock filet is spot on! The creamy coleslaw is refreshing. Wife loved her Shepherd's Pie. The beef, lamb, bordelaise with peas and carrot with mashed potato is simply delicious! Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of London Pubs. Through a misunderstanding which we also take accountability for, my wife brunch was served with scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs. We didn't realize this until the food was delivered and asked if we could substitute for two fried eggs instead. Well Jackie would not have any of if it, insisting we pay for it, and not even friendly or nice about it. I don't have much experience with situations like this, but in the few times there was a misunderstanding the restaurants have 100% of the time made it right as long as the request was reasonable. First of all, I had to rethink what constitutes a 5 star restaurant. I've always thought the standard was Capital Grille here in Naples and I used to compare everything with that. However, you really can't compare English fish and chips with a steakhouse. The Pub is the best place for fish and chips and draught beer. There are beers here that I can't get anywhere else, especially on tap. Personally I like the Belhaven which is a Belgium beer. I come here for that and the fish and chips. I've never been disappointed despite coming here many times in the 20 years that I've been here. Always predictably good food and service, and very consistent in what they do. The best fish and chips in town and probably any beer that you want. If you're the type of person that wants a cold Budweiser, go somewhere else. We popped into the Pub last Friday when everything else was packed and we are happy we did. The bartenders were friendly and made our drinks just right. They have a big selection of beer which was awesome. Their happy hour looks great and they have a pretty big menu. I want to come back to try their happy hour and food because I do think we missed out. Just as we were leaving, the DJ was setting up for what looked like a fun night. We will 100% be back!
