Best British Pub in Naples area. Great beer selection and some great bartenders. Food wise the Shepherds Pie is a winner

Went today with my partner and his mom after having dinner in the area. Sat at the bar, place was mostly empty. Ordered a drink each, asked for some waters. Didn't get them, tried again for some water with the second drink. No water, again. Then I overhear the bartenders chatting about us and his buddy says "just give them their check", and he does! Never got our water, rude service, completely soured our afternoon. Never ever recommend. read more

Hubby & I always enjoy sitting outside at the Pub for drinks and apps. Service is usually good too. The only negative is the moldy smell inside the Pub from the velvety furniture. I always think that they need to close for a week and DEEP CLEAN the entire inside or replace the furniture. read more

Always a great place to spend an afternoon with a good friend. The ales, lagers and stouts are always fresh and the service is friendly and timely. I appreciate the wide selection of brews from across the pond. Love the atmosphere and the music. Always a great time here. A lot has changed since my 2014 review, both for them and myself. My friend and I came here for drinks after lunch. It wasn't too crowded so we sat at the bar. The bartender was friendly. I did the Hawaiian drink which was delicious. The pub is a good place to come for drinks at night too. They have food as well but we didn't get any. Chill place to hang. read more

We loved our experience at The Pub. It is a great British pub with lots of beers to choose from, along with other drinks. The decor is awesome- wood all over, British memorabilia around the inside. There is a large patio that is great for when the weather is nice. We ordered Guinness (served in the proper glass), fried pickles and the pretzels. Everything was delicious. The pretzels were super soft! And the pickles were spears so you could actually taste the pickle. Service was great- friendly and fun. Great experience. 1st time trying this and I am pleasantly surprised! I've passed this place year after year and never thought to stop but I'm glad I did. I came for a haddock fish fry! Service was fantastic. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. Our server Christina was nice and quick to recommend some options for us and give us feedback on our selections. The ambiance is cool. Anything outdoors in Mercato is 5/5 but this place has an English pub built inside and is really fun looking. They have a great selection of liquors and beers so you're bound to be happy! As far as the food goes it was amazing. They do have a happy hour so be sure to check out that menu! For our dinner we ordered the Ruben Egg rolls which were out of this world! I don't even like sauerkraut but these were so mild and the corned beef was sliced thick and really provided most of the flavor in the rolls. Totally worth getting. The fish fry was just like I'd have at home in Buffalo! Haddock is the best white, flaky fish in my opinion and I'm so glad they don't serve cod or pollock. In Naples Mercato, for a special event, Santa Paws. Santa Claus sits by the Christmas tree for photo opportunity and you can bring your doggies as well! We visited The Pub for dinner prior to take picture with Santa! The décor is dark and warm inside, airy on the outside. Tonight, soft live music was provided by a soloist but I did not get her name. The main attraction is the large bar with an excellent selection of beers and drinks. Local Floridian beers are available as well popular beers from UK! I ordered a Smithwick Red Ale paired with their signature Fish and Chip. A huge piece of beer-battered Haddock over French Flies was cooked to perfection. Crunchy batter with moist Haddock filet is spot on! The creamy coleslaw is refreshing. Wife loved her Shepherd's Pie. The beef, lamb, bordelaise with peas and carrot with mashed potato is simply delicious! Staff are friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. Nice atmosphere, reminds me of London Pubs. On my recent trip had some app's and libations and we loved it. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant, the ambience is fun and lively, but somewhat loud. We ordered the wings they were pretty good. haven't really tried anything else. They seem to have a wide assortment of beers. read more

Best food we've had so far in Naples - we had some brunch food and some regular menu food and it was all spectacular! My husband said it was the best fish and chips he's had. My breakfast sandwich was beyond delicious. The biscuits and desserts were outrageously good. Service was wonderful, we had the sweetest and most attentive waitress. Mrs. K. and I were visiting her niece in Sarasota. She told me she went to The Pub in Miami and had the best fish and chips she ever ate. Then, Oh, by the way, you have one in Naples. Within days, Mrs. K. and another couple found ourselves in a unique setting: an authentic pub built in the last five years--a rare find considering 500 years is the norm in England. Brought close friends down to Naples and stopped in For a bite at the Pub. Sarah was our Server fish and Chips with a pint was the order of the day, Sarah was friendly and efficient, the fish was lightly breaded and delicious. They assured us this was an isolated event and I request for fried eggs should've been provided at no additional charge. My wife and I went for Brunch. I ordered the Welsh Dip (a regular favorite in addition to their amazing Fish and Chips, burger or Pot Roast) and my wife an ordered breakfast since they do brunch on Sundays. Our Waitress Karley was an absolute delight, providing friendly and attentive service. Through a misunderstanding which we also take accountability for, my wife brunch was served with scrambled eggs instead of fried eggs. We didn't realize this until the food was delivered and asked if we could substitute for two fried eggs instead. Well Jackie would not have any of if it, insisting we pay for it, and not even friendly or nice about it. I don't have much experience with situations like this, but in the few times there was a misunderstanding the restaurants have 100% of the time made it right as long as the request was reasonable. We're not taking about sending back a $50 filet and asking for a ribeye, we are taking about two eggs which probably cost less than $1. We popped into the Pub last Friday when everything else was packed and we are happy we did. The bartenders were friendly and made our drinks just right. They have a big selection of beer which was awesome. Their happy hour looks great and they have a pretty big menu. I want to come back to try their happy hour and food because I do think we missed out. Just as we were leaving, the DJ was setting up for what looked like a fun night. We will 100% be back! First of all, I had to rethink what constitutes a 5 star restaurant. I've always thought the standard was Capital Grille here in Naples and I used to compare everything with that. However, you really can't compare English fish and chips with a steakhouse. The Pub is the best place for fish and chips and draught beer. There are beers here that I can't get anywhere else, especially on tap. Personally I like the Belhaven which is a Belgium beer. I come here for that and the fish and chips. I've never been disappointed despite coming here many times in the 20 years that I've been here. Always predictably good food and service, and very consistent in what they do. The best fish and chips in town and probably any beer that you want. If you're the type of person that wants a cold Budweiser, go somewhere else. We stopped here for Cars and Coffee. We were excited to see they were open for brunch and the menu looked good but they don't have a clue what Nashville hot actually is.... Because this isn't it..... the waitress thought it was wrong because it looks like standard chicken. They likely use a dry rub, but that's not authentic. Had been looking for a place to watch Premier League games on Boxing Day and found the website said "Watch all the Premier League action at The Pub! We will be showing all matches airing during normal business hours." Arrived to find no games on and it took an act of congress to get a game on. The waterdowned $12 Bloody Mary was awful. Shepard's pie, although it tasted good the portion for the price was crazy. We assumed it was a lunch portion until we saw the price. Kids meals are also overpriced for what they got. Most places would charge $5.95 not $9 for the tiny burger. Overall the atmosphere was cool but would definitely not recommend. The fish and chips were incredibly good. The batter on the fish was just right and the fish itself was lovely and warm with a dowsing of lemon, malt vinegar and salt. We tried The Pub for the 1st time last night after hearing about how fantastic their fish & chips are and I've got to say, every recommendation I've heard met and exceeded my expectations. The service was awesome even for a busy Friday night. Jen, our server, couldn't have been more kind and enjoyable. She provided exquisite recommendations and the service she provided to my family was on the spot with every interaction. We started with the spinach and artichoke dip which I highly recommend. The lightly battered Icelandic Haddock and large cut fries were far and away better than anything I've tasted in SW Florida. Bonus points for understanding the assignment when it comes to ketchup -- HEINZ ONLY! (everyone else is just a pretender!).
