She informed us that we were there about 5 minutes before happy hour started; and that we may want to hold off a few minutes before ordering. I ordered the Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich with the homemade potato chips. It was $18.00 and delicious. It had just the right amount of heat to it and it was piled high with fried chicken. The bread was fresh and the pickles were yummy.The homemade chips were good as well. My sister had the Cuban sandwich with fries. She thought the sandwich was awesome and the fries were just ok. It was $17. My mom had the prime rib sliders. They were $21 and also piled high with meat. She said they were delicious and she could only finish one. Dinner on a Tuesday night was good. Our server grabbed it up, apologized, and got in the right order. I dove into my Chicken Club, which was sloppy, but very good! Plump chicken, great sauce, tomato, lettuce, bacon, and cheese all assembled on a bun. I cut it in half, but I suggest quartering it to try to keep the bites intact. The homemade chips were also good. I had a couple of mixed drinks that were very good. My wife's Salmon Bowl came out about the time I finished my sandwich, but she said it was very good. The trivia host took the rules about shouting out answers far too seriously--especially considering the answer that was called out was incorrect. [[HIGHLIGHT]]In a restaurant setting where the goal is clearly to create an enjoyable atmosphere (and, frankly, encourage people to relax and order drinks), some excitement and occasional enthusiasm should be expected.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] In this case, the MC escalated the situation very quickly when someone in our group shouted out a wrong answer. The reaction felt disproportionate to what was clearly a harmless mistake made in the spirit of the game. Another issue was the lack of transparency during the event. At no point were the standings posted after each round, so teams had no idea where they stood throughout the game. Regularly posting scores would greatly improve engagement and keep teams invested. Finally, considering the prizes are relatively small, threatening to remove participants over a minor issue seems excessive. Trivia nights are supposed to be lighthearted and fun. I also saw a mentioned of the BBQ chips with pulled pork and it's deliciousness. I have to say pretty disappointing. I am a huge burger fan, and the burger was ok. Just that. Fries were great probably the star of the show. The BBQ chips were just bad. The pulled pork almost tasted dull. It's dressed in a moonshine BBQ and another BBQ sauce and has blue cheese. What a strange combo. I gave it a few different bites. The pork on it own. With chips. Parts with all the sauce, parts with no sauces, and all together. Just not good. I had high hopes. Now in a world where it was good, it's could feed 2-3 people, it's a big dish. And on this visit it pretty much looked the same as when it was dropped off. We were starving so we killed the burger and fries. The waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill without us even asking or really expecting it. So that was awesome. Thought we'd try out happy hour. Enjoyed $2 off Drafts and 1/2 price pizzas. Happy Hour is 3-6 pm Wed-Fri. Draft beers were $3.50 while IPA's were $6 after the $2 discount. The sports bar was almost empty. There were two other customers at the bar and two tables with diners. The bartender was friendly, but not particularly interactive with her customers. I have to say that the beer was ice cold....very nice. On the downside, the bar area was buzzing with fruit flies. We did see plastic cups over the tops of bottles of alcohol behind the bar area. We had to keep our beers covered with napkins and swish away the fruit flies while eating. We ordered the Margherita Pizza and the Scampi "shrimp" Pizza. Both were okay for the 1/2 price special of $7.50 & $8.00, but I wouldn't pay full price for these pizzas otherwise. They are oval in shape, six slices, with a very thin crust. The Margherita pizza was a bit greasy, and the scampi pizza was heavy on the cheese and skimpy on the "jumbo shrimp" which were cut up into small pieces atop the pizza. There wasn't much of a vibe going on. However, unlike some other reviews expressed, we did receive our food promptly after ordering. The indoor dining area was on the cold side. If you're looking for something fun to do in Naples on a Thursday night, this is a great place to go. From 3-6 in happy hour with half priced pizza and $5 captain drinks as well as discount on draft beer and house wine. At 7, twisted trivia starts. The first time we went we weren't sure if we liked twisted trivia since it is different then what we were use to for trivia. The more we go, the more we like it. Also the host of the trivia is fantastic, he keeps a good pace and isn't boring to listen to. He makes the trivia a lot of fun and changes things up each time we've gone. The food is pretty good a little pricey for some items but that's normal for Naples. The pizza was better then I had expected and would get again. I also recommend the truffle fries because honestly you can't go wrong with some truffle in your life. The weather was perfect on 2/17/24 when one of my sisters, her husband and my cousin from London met me there for my birthday (month). Of course I was late because I had to squeeze in some blood work at first available appt. They had chosen a wonderful table outside on the water and ordered draft beers, I believe. My cousin wasn't too hungry, so he got the chicken tenders or something. They looked OK. I ordered I believe the salmon sandwich and even though they had creamed spinach which is a fave of mine, I went with the fries and shared them. Everybody liked them. I didn't eat until I got back home. They were rushing back to FLL to hop on annual family cruise. It is a gorgeous spot, indoor/outdoor & we are going to be going back there also. I don't know if it's that I'm spoiled from miami but I just couldn't get past some of the flavors here. The burger came out well done when we had asked for medium. The pulled pork on the chips left us hoping for some more flavors. But the fries were pretty fire! I've been coming to this place for years! They have plenty of TVs available to watch sports, etc. but what I really come for is the outdoor seating with the view of the bay and boats. There is a street in between the bay and the restaurant, but still beautiful views nonetheless. Each time I've been here the food is great! My favorite is their Cuban sandwich. The side of rice was really bad like maybe premade or something I didn't eat it. As far as service the bartender was fine not that attentive and was kind of indifferent. My mom had asked for dressing on the side of her salad which was different than what it originally came with. It never came out with the salad but the ranch did. We asked our waitress to bring it, she never did. We asked another passing waitress for it..never came. Finally I got up from the table and went to the kitchen and grabbed another waitress that was walking out and asked her for it, she looked annoyed that I was asking for it. Our original waitress came out of the kitchen with a cup of the dressing but never once apologized for never bringing it. Came here for trivia night during COVID times. Customers were spaced apart and we felt safe. Funky Gouda burger was terrific. I think there was maple syrup on it, and it was the best burger I've had in years. Wife got Mediterranean chicken salad and she loved it. We will definitely come back.
