Maybe it was an "OFF" night, but Johnny or whoever is running the place these days must address the food quality and accuracy. We ordered takeout tonight. The broccoli had a chemical wash taste and were cooked just slightly beyond raw. The smash burger included several toppings I specifically requested be left off. And I despise onions on burgers, and sure enough they dumped a bunch between the patties (caramelized onions are nowhere in the menu description). I had 2 bites and tossed out my entire dinner. The Italian soup was good. At one time, this was our go to tavern, but not likely anymore. read more

A lively sports bar that leans a bit pricey, but if you're looking for a spot to watch the game, enjoy a drink, and grab a bite, it worth a try? We had just landed and stopped in for a quick meal, but it turned out to be anything but a typical Saturday night--the Bears vs. Packers game was on, and the place was absolutely packed. Even with kickoff still an hour away, the energy was already buzzing. We ended up waiting about 20 minutes for a table. Our server, Matt, was upfront and friendly, letting us know the kitchen was backed up and food would take a while. We were tired from traveling, so we kept it simple with iced tea. Matt checked in to let us know when our order was coming up, which we appreciated. I ordered the Rock Burger, but be aware: cheese is extra, and fries are extra. The burger itself was a thick, juicy patty with cheese--no lettuce or tomato, which I expected. The fries portion was pretty small, maybe a handful, room temp at best and was missing salt. (No salt on the table.) On the other hand, the brisket tacos were good, and swapping the tortillas for lettuce worked perfectly. Overall, it's a fun spot for game day, but be prepared for crowds, plenty of noise, higher prices--and some inconsistency in the food, especially during big rivalry nights. BTW, Bears Won! My mother and I were really pleased to meet her sister here in Naples for lunch. Everything was delicious. We all ordered Pepsis for our drinks. My aunt ordered their Grsnde Wet Burrito. She said it was good. My mother ordered Margarita Flatbread with added chicken. She really enjoyed it. I ordered their The rock burger, no onion and no cheese cooked to medium well along with a side of cole slaw. The burger was very good but I didn't expect two patties so filling no complaints. The Cole slaw was a yummy mayonnaise base and very tasty. We chose to sit outside which we found relaxing and easy to talk and catch up. This was a cool place for catching up on live sports on TVs while grabbing drinks and food. It was pretty busy when we got here but we were able to get a seat inside without waiting. There's a call vibe and energy to this restaurant. For dinner, I ordered the Key West Cobia dinner. It was a flaky white fish pan seared in lemon butter and white wine topped with tomatoes, green onions, and parmesan cheese. The Cobia was cooked perfectly but I felt like the sauce itself was too sour with too much lemon flavor. Maybe half the amount of lemon juice and it would have been great instead of just being good. I got steamed broccoli for the side and it was perfectly steamed. Our waitress was very attentive and checked back on us from time-to-time to refill our drinks. If you want some simple comfort food along with a cold beer while watching live sports on TV, then this is a cool place to hang out. Great sports bar! Many TV screens for sports games. Service was great and our server Carmen was a gem. We had a great time and the drinks were ice cold. The food is mediocre. But affordable. I had a bacon cheeseburger and my husband had the smash burger. The quality of the meat was good but lacked basic seasoning like salt. Fries were very soggy. We also had spinach artichoke dip. It was watery. I would go back again for like a happy hour. But I don't think I would eat dinner there. read more

Service was good, food is bar food but a much larger menu. I had their NEW nachos (without protein) the cheese is a thin slightly greasy cheese, not a real cheddar cheese melted. The chips are fresh cooked but unfortunately for me the cheese makes or breaks a nacho. The Chicken Tenders were a big portion. I didn't have any food but I can say the space is really great, with an indoor and outdoor bar area. The outside seating area under a tiki hut is very cool, and there was some great live music going on while we were there on a Saturday night. The inside space is very large, with tons of TV screens for watching sports. My only complaint is the ladies bathroom only has two stalls and one was out of order, so I did wait quite a while. I don't have good things to say. The bartender was less then friendly. We noticed that if you were a regular, you got her attention, if not you were barely noticed. When she talked to you she was curt with an attitude. When I went to the restroom, the hallway was so cluttered you could hardly walk through. There were boxes of extra soda and groceries stacked everywhere and there was a cabinet with the doors left open full of cleaning supplies etc. It made me wonder how dirty and cluttered the kitchen could be. During this time the food and service has remained excellent and we have not been disapppointed with anything on the menu. The management is constantly improving the items on the menu. The quality of the food is impressive and above that which one would expect in a busy Sports Bar. The Salads are fabulous, especially the Arugula Salad and the Classic Caesar. The Grouper is tender and lightly breaded. They have a varity of different shrimp dishes, all are delicious. For a lighter fare the cheeseburgers are made to order and should not be passed up. The owner's meat balls and spaghetti dinner is a family recipe and is highly recommended. Not only is the food excellent, but so is the staff! They are attentive and will bend over backwards to assure you a wonderful evening. Even though the restaurant is popular and busy, the service is not impacted. On the way to an evening at the Paradise Coast Sports Complex we decided to try out the Off The Rock Tavern for a bite to eat. What Impressed me the most about it was the attention given to us by the wait staff despite it being a busy evening. The person that sat us at the table gave us a printout of the specials and explained them. The server promptly took out drink orders while we pondered the menu. When she delivered that drinks she took our orders and then before leaving she repeated our orders back to us to make sure it was right. While we were waiting for our meal I checked the place out. The down side to some may be the noise level. For me I expect that from a sports bar, especially when people are enjoying themselves. We were at a table near the bar. I liked the display of the flags. We all enjoyed our meals. All in all a pleasant experience at a sports bar tucked away off the beaten path. I would guess it has a strong local backing. read more

Monday night during busy season. Service was really slow and waitress didn't know very much when asked questions. Kids got butter noodles and a cheese burger. 10$ for some watery noodles was not worth it. The burger ended up being spilt between the kids. We got the Brussels as an app and they were not good. No flavor, luke warm. Disappointing for the price honestly. We got the wet burrito and Philly cheese with onion rings. Wet burrito was pretty good, Philly cheese was actually really good and hot. Onion rings weren't great. We sat outside on the patio but were in the corner by the door so it was really busy. We also waited a long time for our food/apps. My friend and I walked in 7 mins after they opened. The bartender didn't even acknowledge our existence. We sat down at the bar, she legit didn't say hi or anything. Just "beer and cocktail menu?" My friend ordered a shot and she asked for her Id in the most rude way. Asked for our check because we were not going to eat here after the attitude. And then as we are walking out she started complaining about how we didn't drink our water. I was warned not to come here because the service is terrible and I should've listened. We've been coming to this establishment for 3+ years. Discovered the ahi tuna nachos which became a " usual choice. ". Although lately, the quality of the dish has changed....wonton chips are sometimes oily tasting or stale. We always sit outside and many times, after finishing our drinks and food, the other half orders another drink and smokes a cigar. We did the same today until...... A waitress, not ours, literally zipped past the table and said ," there's no cigar smoking here sir" and continued on. We thought she was kidding. I mean we couldn't tell from her tone and she didn't stop to have a discussion. When we called her over to question it, she stated she's been working at OTR for 1 1/2 years and it's never been allowed. Well that's news to us because he has even asked waitstaff if it's okay and answers have been " yes". In fact one said, " Honey this is Florida. You can do whatever you want". A bit different from " no cigars". Meanwhile our very sweet waitress came back with the bill. When we asked her, she said ." oh you're fine". Apparently not Gut feeling is...someone complained. I guess the people smoking cigarettes at the bar were okay to do so. BTW...he doesn't smoke stinky cigars...this one had a pleasant cherry aroma. So here's the salient point of this review: 1. If you want to have the rule, POST the rule. Make it serious or funny but POST the signs. 2. If you are going to enforce the rule, make sure staff does so consistently, 3. When asked for an ashtray, make sure staff informs people of the restrictions. This has left a very bad impression. The food isn't good enough to get past this. OTR was a "go to" for us. We will find somewhere else to "go to". read more

Well, much to my great surprise, Off The Rocks added a tiki hut over the outdoor patio. I believe Florida doesn't allow smoking in these structures so now I have zero misgivings about this place! Well done OTR! Looks GREAT! read more
