Food was incredible! I will definitely need to return. The crab bisque was delicious, the pieces of crab were so well cooked that they melted in your mouth. The fries were incredible. Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Fried fish was well cooked. My only critique is that the tartar sauce could be more tangy. Service was very nice, they were patient with me as I perused the menu as there are quite a lot of options to choose from. The restaurant looks very nice and clean. The kitchen is in the center of the indoor dining area which, to me, shows they have immense pride in what they do in the kitchen. Wonderful experience! read more

The Escargots have a delicious garlic butter but are too squishy, the Bully Bites were well seasoned but too small, but the Fried Tomatoes were delicious, crispy, and soft with a delicious sauce, and the Fried Frog Legs were very tender and well seasoned. The Steak Flatbread is very fresh and light but also very greasy at the same time. And the Pork Osso Bucco has a very rich and deep sauce, I just wish it had more flavor and more sauce. And finally, the Florida Orange Cake had very vibrant flavor and pleasant texture. In conclusion, the giant ambiance, the Fried Tomato, the Steak Flatbread, and the Florida Orange Cake are must tries when visiting Sebring. read more

Due to inflation, it is typical to see portions shrink or prices increase but both at the same time is a bright red flag. On top of that - poor quality makes me pump the breaks. I regret paying $11 for a small bowl of French onion soup, salty and loaded with yesterday's bread. My wife ordered the $8 Cesar salad - the Romaine lettuce was old and discolored - sending it back for something better changed the servers attitude from acceptable to questionable. My last trip to the Watering Hole. Try the Olive Garden for all you can eat Soup, Salad and breadsticks for around $10. read more

Dinner was really tasty, service at the bar was also done very well. Cindy was a great bartender and server, she was pleasant to speak to and kept us company as we patiently waited for our meals. Salad with the dinner was plain, pay extra for blue cheese dressing? Not sure why but all food. I would recommend the restaurant for the food, the atmosphere was at times a bit noisy but it was college football Saturday. read more

The best steakhouse in Highlands County. This is a rural area with Red Lobster being considered higher end dining .. lol. So this steakhouse was a pleasant surprise. It was very large with indoor and outdoor seating. 3 different bars fully stocked. Extensive menu with everything from chicken wings to steak to fried whole snapper. Some of my favorites here are the flash fried wings, sautéed smoking shrimp appetizer, fried whole snapper, the ribeyes and porterhouse steaks. I also like that house salad that comes with each meal. We were there this afternoon. I had the Cajun shrimp Flatbread which was amazing! My husband had chicken parm. He thought the chicken was a bit tough, but the meal tasted good. We both had the orange cake to go. We don't eat much in the sweet line, so this was an awesome treat for us. Nice atmosphere. My only complaint... it was cold in there. This used to be a go to oasis for racers at Sebring. Fun spot, solid food. Something has gone terribly off course. The ribeye i just paid forty- something bucks for was a 1/4" thick piece resembling something other than a quality steak. Rest of meal was fine. Where's the beef? read more

I've heard awesome things about this restaurant, we went Wednesday evening, the server was on task and frequently checked on us, the food, I wish I could say the same for, had the chopped steak and chicken cappriese. The chicken was over cooked and hard to cut, the chopped steak was over cooked, dry and no flavor, at least season the meat. Not impressed! read more

I recently went on a Saturday night and had about a 45 minute wait which I was told to expect. The wait wasn't bad though because the drinks that were ordered at the bar were refreshing and strong. It was also kind of fun watching all the kids in their prom dresses and suits(apparently it's prom season in Lake Placid) come in and out of the restaurant. We were seated at our table and the server was there almost immediately for our drink orders. Drinks came quickly and our orders were put in. Salad is served family style along with their garlic bread. I kept hearing how good the bread and salad were, and people were not lying! I'd go so far as to say it was the best garlic bread I've ever eaten. The salad had a great dressing on it, kind of like a cross between a Caesars dressing and ranch and I easily could've made a meal just out of the bread and salad. I had ordered the ribeye steak as my meal and that also was delicious. It was served with a garlic butter on top and I had a baked potato as my side. The steak and potato was huge and I had enough for another meal the next day. One of the guests at our table was celebrating a birthday and she got a $15 discount off of her meal, which was great. Service was wonderful, the place was clean and the food was delicious. What more could you ask for? The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I thought the steaks were a little on the expensive side but other than that a great dinner! read more

Last month I had family visiting for my 60 anniversary and wanted to take them out for dinner. I went to restaurant to check on availability and they told me they had the perfect round table for my party of 10. I tried to reserve it for early Sunday evening but was told it "probably " would be free but we could just drive down and wait if it wasn't. Really? Horrible manger hospitality. Your women manger is the worst, I've met toddlers with better communication skills. I know I'm not the only one to complain about her. So sad a empty bar on a Saturday night. I remember at one time the waterhole was the place to be. Now it seems to only prefer business from a certain color skin type. read more

We were visiting family in the area and they took us here. They really like it so we had high hopes. Overall it was ok, just not worth the cost. I ordered the filet cooked medium and it was rare in the middle. I couldn't finish it. My husband got the NY Strip and seemed to like it pretty well, but it wasn't anything special. The best part of the meal was dessert. We ordered the Florida Orange Cake and the Key Lime Pie. I would love to have another slice of that orange cake right now. Absolutely delicious. read more

Was in Sebring for the day and turned to Yelp for a place to eat lunch. This place popped up first. After looking at the food photos and reading the reviews ... I didn't even look any further. The place didn't disappoint! The one thing that caught my eye was the French onion soup which I hadn't had in years. That was the best ( see my pic). There were so many great choices on the menu for things to go with the soup it was VERY hard to decide what to pick. So many things looked and sounded great. We ended up getting the BLT which was fantastic. The BLT was large and we split it along with a side of fries that came with it. Place is decorated very nice ... it's huge. There is a tiki bar outside, another bar inside. Place was clean, service was spot on and friendly. Even the bathroom was clean and impressive . I'd eat here again and again. read more

The place caught my eye, as I drove into town, so I figured I'd give it a try. After I ordered, I started reading the reviews and began to question my decision. I sat outside, and the service was prompt. Many of the recent reviews said that the food quality was poor, mine was fantastic. Steak was cooked perfectly, quality was decent. The bacon, wrapped asparagus was fantastic, and the grilled shrimp were OK. I also read a couple reviews where people were overcharged. And as I looked at my receipt when I got in the truck, I saw I was charged five dollars for french fries that I did not order. Seems like a pattern of behavior of overcharging people and hoping they don't get caught. read more

We were there with a group of 8 for lunch. Our waitress, SY, was very friendly and gave excellent suggestions. She was attentive. The food was really very good and the location was large enough so that we felt comfortable walking to the restroom with two elderly members of our party. I would definitely go back again. read more

I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

Well after we got our drinks it was an easy 15 mins before she came back for our meal order. Well it went down hill from there as far as service. They were a bit busy. But not enough to ignore a table for an entire meal. Food came out about 45 mins later. Chicken sandwich and a piece of steak. Other tables that arrived well after were served before us. Couldn't ask for condiments or order another drink as she never came back by. Steak was close to well done. And ordered medium. So again. Couldn't say anything about that. And another server brought the check after I finally asked her to. 90.00 for a chicken sandwich and piece of steak, and was sadly not impressed. Place was loud inside. But it was dinner time and a bar. Note. They do not have anything on tap. Bottle only.

It's a tender chicken breast pan sautéed with mushrooms in a sherry lobster sauce. It came with two jumbo Key West shrimp and linguini pasta. The side green beans were pan seared and nicely wrinkled. The whole dish was an A+. I also enjoyed a nice Justin Cabernet Sauvignon. This restaurant and hotel are nicely positioned near the water. The lobby was beautifully decorated for Christmas. I highly recommend visiting this great establishment.

Another guest later mentioned the same slick approach, which tells me this is more than bad luck. For a restaurant that draws an older crowd, safety at the door should not be an afterthought. Inside, the welcome was much warmer. The staff was friendly and our server Ethan handled the holiday rush with calm attention. He stayed present without hovering and made sure we had what we needed. If only the kitchen had matched his level of care. The Thanksgiving menu looked promising, but the execution never quite reached the level the price tag promised. The lobster arrived overcooked and clinging stubbornly to its shell. The sauce meant to lift it fell flat. The butternut squash bisque was pleasant enough, though short on depth. The apple walnut salad was a clear winner. Crisp, balanced, and bright. It deserves a permanent spot on the menu. The entrées continued the theme of missed opportunities. The vegetables needed seasoning, especially the Brussels sprouts, which tasted like they had skipped the last step before leaving the kitchen. The potatoes au gratin stole the show, rich and comforting, which only highlighted how muted everything else tasted. For a meal tipping the scale at around $140, the food should meet the standard the setting implies. Chicanes has the bones of a great restaurant. The staff is strong, the room is inviting, and the menu choices read well. But the flavors need more care, more confidence, and more seasoning. A place aiming for an upscale experience has to deliver more than ambiance. There is potential here, but potential is not enough at this price. With steadier footing at the entrance and sharper execution in the kitchen, Chicanes could be worth the splurge. Tonight, it wasn't.

My guy chose asparagus and opted to pay an additional fee for a side salad. Dallas informed us that birthday patrons are entitled to a free ice cream dessert. Sweet! The restaurant was busy and there were several people sitting at the bar watching football but it was not loud. We were able to communicate without shouting.
