Four of us stopped in for dinner on a Tuesday evening. We were greeted with smiles and seated immediately. The place was lively and filled with big groups. Our food was served hot and quickly. We dug into both the appetizers before I had a chance to take pics One of our party members stated the gator bites were the best he had ever tasted. The homemade pineapple habanero sauce for the coconut shrimp had just the right amount of kick to it. We enjoyed our meal very much as we have all the previous times we've dined at The Gator Shack. We will definitely return Highly recommended

The steak was delicious!! We had the seared Mac and cheese and cabbage w bacon! It was all delicious except they missed the mark w the fried Mahi- it was really dry! It was packed but staff was friendly and helpful w suggestions. Ambience of a hometown bar and grill nothing fancy right up our alley!!!

My wife and I took our son, daughter-in-love and 4 grandchildren there for lunch. My grandchildren begged to go. We had been there in April and they wanted to return. Everyone greatly enjoyed their meal. The 4 grandkids had sandwiches (two cheeseburgers and one Philly, and one ham & cheese -- the sandwiches were large), our son had a gator bite po boy, my wife and daughter-in-love had pulled pork and I had fried shrimp. We all shared a basket of gator bites. As side benefit we also went on the Eco tour. What a fun day!

If you are ever up this way. This is a good place to stop. There are not a lot of options this way with restaurants. The service was friendly and the food was good. This is a local spot and a casual place. Everyone knows everyone here. It is a friendly place with a big bar in the middle of the place. The place was easy to find and it had plenty of parking spaces. It also had a beautiful huge tree on the side. I asked the waitress what was good. The restaurant had a daily special. It was hard to choose. She responded with everything. I will say that what I got was good. The cheese curds tasted great and the fish sandwich was good. It was flaky and good. I would get it again. The menu had some interesting choices that I did not get like frog legs, gator, and lobster nuggets. I enjoyed the meal and time here.

5/5 for sure. Will definitely be back. Great service, very tasty apps, and huuuuuge margaritas. Recommend trying the shrimp po boy, fried pickles, and the gator bites, of course!

All I have to say is Wow!!! The perfect place to eat good food in a comfortable laid back atmosphere! The waitress Shannon was AMAZING!! She took such good care of us. My husband had the steak cooked medium and it was spot on. You get to pick your steak before they cook it. He also had a loaded baked potato and onion rings (they were perfection) loved that they were not over battered. He also got cole slaw and that was amazing also. I ordered the Pork Ribeye (one word; delicious) mixed veggies that were so fresh and tasty and a sweet potato which came with what looked like home cinnamon butter. I did also get a salad. For dessert we had Florida orange cheese cake, so good. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! We drove 2.5 hours and we are so happy we went. This truly is a Gem!!

I've driven by this restaurant more than 100 times while working but never stopped in. I decided after parking in the lot to send an email and could smell the grills working. I had already eaten so only got the Puny Burger with hand cut fries. I have to say fir the price it was a great value and cooked perfectly. I now to try for dinner the next time I'm in the area.

While in Sebring for the Porsche races, I stopped by The Gator Shack. Sebring is rather void of restaurants, so other than Apex located at the Sebring International Raceway Hotel, this is about it. It caters to visiting tourists with some novelty local Florida and Southern dishes such as gator nuggets, chicken gizzards with homemade gizzard sauce, deep-fried pickles, and frog legs. I must say, I tried the frog legs. They were battered, deep fried to a golden brown and were totally delicious. The other menu items are of the usual suspects of grilled chicken, sandwiches, burgers, wings, etc. My partner had Ruebin and found it very good.

Hands down the best meal we were able to enjoy on our most recent visit to Grand Cayman…read more Unbelievable ambience and lighting with food to match. We were a larger party of 11 and got a prime spot on the beach literally 10 feet from the softly lapping sea water. Our server had the sense to get the kids orders in and served to ensure a delightful experience for the adults. Make sure to peruse the specialty drink menu that can be crafted with our without alcohol. Our food choices roamed the entire menu and everyone loved their meals so feel free to take a suggestion or go your own route. I had a perfectly cooked burger that left me stuffed and satisfied. Expect resort pricing but trust me that the memorable meal you eat will substantiate the price. Truly a one-of-a-kind meal that you'll remember for years to come.

At first, I wasn't even sure where the restaurant was because we had to walk past a beautiful building with rental rooms. But once we turned the corner and saw the restaurant, it literally took my breath away. There's outdoor seating that leads right to the beach, which looked incredible, but we chose to sit in another outdoor area surrounded by lush greenery and trees....and it was still such a beautiful experience. My friend ordered the caviar martini, and I had a taste & the caviar was absolutely divine. The service was quick, attentive, and kind, which made the experience even better. We both ordered our steaks medium, and they came out perfectly cooked. No notes needed. I also got lobster, macaroni and cheese and broccoli. The lobster macaroni and cheese was extremely creamy m, cheesy just enough and the noodles were shells which is always a plus for me. The broccoli is just plain steamed broccoli. If you're ever in the Cayman Islands, this place is a must.

The decor is classic 50s roadside diner with old license plates on the wall, an old pickup truck outside and a TV on ESPN by my table. The menu is classic Americana / diner fare with a southern touch. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

I knew the father and his four sons by their first names, and they knew mine. Moving on, I have eaten at 5Gs in way over twenty states for a total of dozens and dozens if not hundreds of meals. This review is all about the often-ignored hotdog. So, what do you need to know about this bad boy? 1. It's all beef and made by Hebrew National. The dog is Kosher, but the meal is not because it is grilled on the same grill as bacon and other stuff. Bottom line, they start with a great dog. 2. The dog is split lengthwise before it is grilled. Because of this it needs a slighter bigger bun. More about this later. 3. All the burger toppings are available for the dog. Pro Tip #1- If you are insane, you can order cheese on your dog here. If you do, they will use a Kraft Single! Crazy right! I would rather have a root canal with no pain meds than do that! Pricing- 5Gs is infamous for being spendy! I call it the "Gasp!" factor. I ordered a dog, small Cajun Fries and a small drink and it set me back $14.49. This is much better than a burger meal so the gasping is much less. Presentation- You know the deal. The dog is wrapped in foil and at the bottom of a brown paper bag. On top are about a bazillion delicious fries. Pro Tip #2- Many folks think the fries should be crisper. Just ask and they will be happy to accommodate you and make them extra crispy! Unwrap the foil and you'll immediately see what I mean about the slighter bigger bun. I don't normally cut my dog in half but I did for this review so you can see a cross-section of the split dog. Taste- This is one seriously good dog! You get a nice snap when you bite into it. You can really taste the beef and it is very nicely grilled and caramelized. Among the big chains, most reviews place this dog in the top 3 and sometimes #1 in the country! I would agree. To me, a dog, fries and a drink here is a five star meal!
