Had a fabulous experience of this location . I hadn't been to this location in years and was happy to see that it has been extremely well maintained . The building looks like new, so you can tell they take care of it. Kathryn at the bar was amazing and friendly and kind and had great suggestions. There were also a few other staff members that engaged with me and made me smile because I was dining alone. They have a new, refreshed menu with many different new cocktails and entrees. They also have daily specials. The daily special on Monday is all you can eat shrimp for $25. The daily special for Tuesday is crab legs for $20. And they have a daily special for each day. I had the create your own ultimate feast and it was really good. The crab legs were bright, red and beautifully fresh. The portions were very large. The shrimp scampi was their classic, famous shrimp scampi, and it tasted absolutely delicious. Drenched in butter. I definitely will return.

Abandoned Red Lobster Restaurant. Ours was open for lunch but apparently the help didn't show up that day.

Eulogy for Red Lobster We went by for lunch but no one was there, The doors were open but nobody cared. There were no hostesses, no bartender, no noise, I looked at my watch, where were the boys? Where was the music, pleasant and piped in, Where was the manager dapper and trim? How long should we wait? We wondered out loud, How did it come to this, a giant humbled, not proud. For 15 long minutes we stood and we waited, but it was quiet as a tomb, and never abated. There is no server to laud and cheer, this is no cook to persevere. There are only a few tired lobsters languishing in the tank and the smell from the carpet is rather quit dank. The food wasn't good but it wasn't half bad, in fact there was no food at all, we left quite sad. Not for the loss of my appetite and not for the loss of this tattered old knight. The flags they still wave but nobody is home, where they all went nobody can know. Please help us Darden why did you sell? The Thai Union Group might as well have been hell. So farewell my friend, you were always the best, and so it is with heavy heart we lay you to rest.

First off, we came in with a group of six, the first thing you see is a sad looking lobster tank. The lobsters didn't look like they were thriving and it didn't make me want seafood. It didn't seem very busy, the hostess didn't seem very happy to be there, we asked for a table and she tried to put us in a booth, so we had to wait about 5 more minutes. When we got our table, it was very wobbly, we were careful with it. There was also dust and cobwebs on the light over the table. Okay, now for the good part, Rasheed, our server was great! He warned us he is pretty new, but he did a great job, very friendly and personable. Now for the rest, we ordered drinks, everyone else had soda, I went with a classic margarita, again, I couldn't see any other tables, it wasn't very busy. It took at least 20 minutes for the margarita to show up. Everyone else was ready for refills, so I got a water and kept waiting. When it finally showed up, it was very watery. Not worth the wait. Now the food, one person had the flounder topped with lobster, he said it was small but good. I had Walt's favorite shrimp platter. You could tell they were just taken out of a bag in the freezer and fried, something you would expect from a fast food place, not paying $19 for. My wife got the coconut shrimp, they were good, but it was huge, basically just a large plate filled with shrimp and no room even for a side. We should have just split that. We both had the Cole slaw, it was yellow, very strange, it tasted even stranger, we named it pina colada slaw because, well that's what it tasted like, pineapple and coconut, not good. Another person got the chicken pasta, not sure how it was, they found a hair in it, the manager asked if she would like another, she did, it came out just in time to box it up. The manager was nice and took it off the bill. Overall, it was pretty mediocre, except for a couple of items that were good. All of the overhead lights were dusty and had cobwebs.

If you are not in the mood for seafood, this half order of Spicy Cajun Chicken Alfredo might hit the spot.

I'm not a seafood guy so these folks re very low on my list but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do! I have relatives that like it so there was no socially acceptable way to refuse. My party of three showed up at 6:00 pm on a Tuesday and it was packed with a 15 minute wait. The young ladies at the hostess stand were delightful. Once we were seated our waitress was exceptional. Overall CUSTOMER SERVICE was very very good. The ATMOSPHERE was completely expected standard chain décor. Everything was spotless so no complaints. So how about the FOOD? The legendary biscuits were, well, legendary. Warm and tasty nuggets of happiness. My meal came with a house salad and it was 2-star forgettable. It was fresh but it had very few ingredients and was quite frankly boring. My entree was Spicy Cajun Chicken Alfredo. It was hot and filling but the operative word was boring as well. The plating was boring, the color was boring, and the sauce was boring and not at all spicy. The amount of chicken just barely approached adequate. By the end of the meal I was stuffed but bored. My adult libation was bottles of Shock Top and they were icy cold and just fine. This is the perfect example of how two star food can turn into a three star experience with the addition of excellent customer service!

Please do not offer specialty drinks. Mai tai mix should not be an option. Hire bartenders and make drinks fresh. Very disappointed.

Eat here fairly often. Waited 10 minutes tonight for water--it never came. If you see our waiter tell him we've gone. :/

The decor is classic 50s roadside diner with old license plates on the wall, an old pickup truck outside and a TV on ESPN by my table. The menu is classic Americana / diner fare with a southern touch. I'd been on an empty stomach through my 3 hour drive and meetings, so by the time I sat down to eat, I almost would have even eaten the paper the menu was written on :) Since it was a little bit on the chilly side, I started with their hearty cup of baked potato soup, deliciously loaded with cheese & bacon bits in a stew. Their warm, buttery and fluffy rolls topped with cinnamon butter were worth every single gram of carbs and almost functioned as a dessert themselves. Then came my yummy main dish, a roasted half chicken with just the right amount of skin and garnished with a smoky barbecue sauce. It was a sizable bird, taking up a nice bit of plate real estate, though leaving just enough room for a warm and topped with butter sweet potato. Needless to say, I still had room for dessert, and enjoyed their Keylime pie. Mal, my waitress, was very pleasant and I didn't have to wait for soda refills. Plating was also on time. I noticed they also had a Valentine's Day local special. It seems like this is a happening place in Sebring and I'd stop by next time I'm in the area.

They have yellow rice, but not real fried rice. The service was very good, my drink was quickly filled when it got low. The tables are spaced out well and it wasn't loud despite there being a lot of diners including children. I've eaten here many times, but this time my meal was exceptional! Arriving- This place is out in the boondocks of Avon Park! Trust your GPS to get you started. Once you are closing in there is excellent signage. Of course, you're parking at the clubhouse and there is a decent lot. Watch out for golf carts! Atmosphere- This is a golf club restaurant that is open to the public. It's a big, bright, airy place with two large rooms and a beautiful bar. As many of the customers are just off the golf course, it's very casual. It has quite a few TVs for catching a game but it's definitely not a sports bar. Customer Service- Our server was a bit of a mix. She was very new, very nice, but lacking in knowledge. With a little time, I think she'll be great. Food- A combo of unique and classic American fare. You've got your burgers, chicken parm and alfredo dishes. There is a selection of flatbreads that are awesome, and a giant pretzel served with warm beer cheese that is incredible to share! I was on a mission. I had seen an 8 oz. skirt steak with chimichurri on the menu. It's not often I see chimichurri and I was drooling. I paired it with some fries and looked forward to an amazing lunch. It was out in good time. For a lunch plate, it was a very nice presentation. The nicely seared steak was coated with chimichurri with some additional served on the sided. The pickled onions were a nice touch. The fries were beautifully cooked. The steak was fantastic and a perfect medium rare. The chimichurri was bursting with flavor and the fries were exceptional! The meal was an easy five stars, but the service was a bit off.
