Haven't eaten here in a few years so thought I would give it a try. The selection of available foods is good. The food was clearly freshly prepared some adequate, some good some very good. The best part for me was the Huge Hibachi grill in the back. You get to select from a variety of freshly cut vegetables and a variety of proteins. I had mine prepare with a combination of Mongolian and Pepper sauces and it was quite good. I am definitely disappointed that like other places in town, they don't have fried rice. They have yellow rice, but not real fried rice. The service was very good, my drink was quickly filled when it got low. The tables are spaced out well and it wasn't loud despite there being a lot of diners including children. The service was horrible. The waitress never brought our drinks until we reminded her. The plates and soup cups were all dirty and had to be wiped. Seemed like their dish washer was down, but they did not see it as a big deal. Some of the warmers were not working since the hot food was cold. The lunch Buffett is amazing with a great variety of Chinese and some American food!! So good but I wouldn't recommend the dinner unless you want seafood. Prices are higher at dinner because of all the seafood. Staff is nice but the language barrier is there but they do a pretty good job. I'm allergic to seafood and asked if the Rangoon was crab or artificial and they had no idea what I was asking. Best Chinese food around though. I highly recommend. This is a good Chinese buffet and is not a great one. Sure, there are eight steam tables but with two focused on dessert and one for salad items, it's not leaving much left. I managed to fill my plate with a lo mein, some chicken in sauce and such. It was very bland. Nice to see a sushi table and yes, the rolls were made with proper sticky rice. This is for the Hibachi Buffet on Memorial Blvd, Lakeland, Fl. We go here quite often but, lately we are met with a rude hostess. She makes you wait to be seated while she is either playing a game or texting on her phone. She doesn't smile or interact with customers at all. When waiting for customers to come in she is glued to her phone, which isn't very business like. we love this restaurant. The upgrades made to the restaurant are very pleasing.
