It would be even better if there was a full liquor license. The icing on the cake is two-for-one on all alcohol drinks including Long Island Iced Teas! No, it's not a dream. Read on- Arriving- These folks are in a large plaza on the northbound side of US Route 27. Signage is not great, but your GPS will work its magic. Even though it's a plaza, parking is irregular, and you may need to walk a bit. Ambience- Nothing special and a little darker than you might expect. Standard Americanized Chinese/Japanese décor, lots of booths and the expected hibachi tables. Speaking of booths, my dining partner noted duct tape on her booth seat and frowned. Free Wi-Fi with no password. It's slow but usable. Customer Service- In my experience, always exceptional! The young lady serving us this visit was pleasant and extremely knowledgeable of the menu. She checked in throughout our lunch and when we were leaving, we were discussing how awesome she was! Adult Libations- Full bar here and these folks are famous for two-for-one drinks all the time! Don't expect fancy glassware or all kinds of embellishments to your drink but at two-for-one pricing, do you care? Food- These folks are the poster child for "typical." The Chinese, Japanese, and Hibachi menus are exactly what you have seen in a thousand other places. My dining partner and I both went with the standard Chinese combo lunch plates. Me Bourbon Chicken and General Tsao for her. Both came with Pork Fried Rice and an Eggroll. We could have substituted soup for the eggroll. They went for about $11 each. To drink I opted for two-for-one Sangria @ $8 and my partner ordered a Bobba drink @ $5. The food and drink were solid across the board. Nothing fancy but solid, filling, tasty food at a decent price point. We both agreed that the eggroll was nice and crisp, and the filling was delicious! So, you get the option of three styles of food and cheap drinks. The food is going to be at least three and maybe four stars with excellent service. I'm going with four stars!

- Cheesesteak sacrilege but delicious! -…read more I spent many years living outside Philly and I know my way around a cheesesteak. Today I went crazy in a wonderful way. Read on- Ambience- I sat at the tiny bar which has 8 comfortable high stools with backs. This is great if you're running solo and in a hurry. Customer Service- My bartender was excellent as usual and quickly gave me a menu and an ice-cold Stella draft. Food- I ordered the incredible Philly Cheesesteak Fries! Everything that's in a good cheesesteak including mushrooms & onions poured over an order of perfect fries and smothered in provolone! To make it over-the-top amazing a spent and extra buck and added chopped pepperoni for $14 total. Pictures- I wasn't the only one snapping pictures! Strangers were walking by and asking if they could grab a photo. That's happened before with this dish. Personal Experience- OMG, I moaned with every savory piping-hot bite! Other customers at the bar were smiling and I enjoyed every minute of my low cholesterol lunch! It's later in the day now and I've finally recovered from my food coma and I'm able to write this well-deserved 5-star review!

Today my husband and I were lucky enough to make the 2pm closing of the newest Sebring cafe on 27…read more The lot was full and the location still had several booths and tables to sit in. The atmosphere was that of a diner with booths and tables, a nice longer table set for a group of almost 12. Specials on the board were of lunch and I was told by our pleasant waitress Amanda, we could choose breakfast or lunch on the weekend. I got to view both menus with fair prices and noted very full plates of specials coming out. One was liver and onions with mashed potatoes piled high. The older gentleman stated, "Now this is how liver and onions should be". The whole table was pleased with many eating that and the pork chop special. We chose to have breakfast and the pancakes were huge on the combo one. Both of us chose different potatoes and both were great. If anything the sausage patty was not to my liking. I like the actual patties. My husbands bacon was great. You get about 2 eggs with the specials. Sandy who is the owner is also the cook and training upcoming cooks. The couple was both there and the waitress staff was on point and actually friendly, unlike some places, this location felt like it could be our go to. Like at home, as some local bars feel, they welcome you. We will try sometime again if we can catch the hours as we just do not get going in the AM out of the house and I never want to feel a rush getting anywhere after 1pm when I know they are closing as most all places do in Lake Placid where we live. I highly suggest this location and supporting Sandy and her lovely staff in which I had the pleasure to meet today and enjoy a late breakfast out.

The first thing I saw when I walked in was a sign saying,…read more"This is not L.A., N.Y., or Miami," and telling anyone in a hurry to "head north to Mickey D's." As a Floridian, I found it off-putting. It was a strange welcome. The restaurant is small, though a mirrored back wall makes it look much deeper. It was clean. Some tables had not yet been cleared when I arrived around 1 p.m., possibly after the lunch rush. My cheeseburger was $8.75, with fries and coleslaw available as a $4.25 combo. The burger patty was very small compared with the bun, which made the price hard to justify. To be fair, the meat had very good flavor. They have the seasoning right; I just wish there had been more burger. The fries looked freshly cut, but mine were soggy and quite salty. The menu listed fries and coleslaw with the combo. The coleslaw was initially forgotten, and by the time the waitress brought it after I asked, I had finished eating. She was very nice, but after bringing my drink and food, she did not check back or offer a refill before bringing the bill. My meal came to about $20. There were things I liked, especially the burger's flavor and the friendly waitress. But given the portion size, fries, service, and price, I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again or recommend it based on this visit.

It's a little off the beaten path for me and I'm a lazy ass so it took me until this weekend to get there! Arriving- It's in the clubhouse of the North Golf Course in the Highland's Ridge Community. Follow the signs for that clubhouse or let your GPS do the work. If you are familiar with the area, it was formally The Tavern. Ambience- So this is what a lot of folks would call a Country Club restaurant. As I had patronized the old tenants, I was curious how they were going to transform it into an Irish Pub. The answer is they didn't! It looks nothing like and Irish Pub. It's a large space with lots of natural light and traditional furniture. It has lots of outside seating that's covered with ceiling fans and many seats have a nice view! There is a very small bar that seats about six. In short, it looks like a Country Club restaurant. So much for pub ambience! Customer Service- Awesome, maybe seven stars! I had substantial interactions with the manager, bartender, and a server. All were exceptional. Adult Libations- Definitely not a pub style bar. It's a full bar with just a few taps but nothing special. Food- Like the ambience, it's an American menu with a couple of Irish dishes. There's Bangers & Mash and Shepard's Pie. Other than that, they throw in a couple of Irish terms to deceive you but it's really an American menu. There're enough choices to satisfy most folks. See their website. I ordered Irish Brisket Flatbread- Brisket, bacon, caramelized onions, diced tomatoes, BBQ sauce, mozzarella cheese @ $13. It was out in good time and plated very nicely. Plenty of food for the price so good value. The flatbread was nicely crisp. I love caramelized onions and that's the base here. Everything was very fresh. Plenty of brisket. Unfortunately, the onions overpowered the other ingredients, so the flavors were not balanced. It was tasty but needed a little work to be a winner. Conclusion- If you're looking for an Irish Pub, you're in the wrong place. If you're looking for an American menu that has some potential with a great staff and beautiful outside seating, give it a try. As they are new and the staff is awesome combined with the outside seating, I'm going to be a little charitable and say four stars!
