My Aunt visited me from California recently. My partner & I treated her to a lovely dinner at Thai House. We enjoy eating here frequently. The food is served piping hot! Dishes are made to order and the portions are large. We are never disappointed. The service is friendly and very attentive. The restaurant offers limited seating. but we were seated promptly. We ordered two appetizers for the table and we each had an entry. I also enjoyed a glass of wine. We were all delighted with our menu choices and had plenty for carry out containers. Entries come with white rice. My partner also orders a side of Curry Sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant and look forward to dining here in the near future. read more

What a treat in a nondescript shopping mall! I have to admit I was a bit skeptical at first. It's a hole in the wall kinda place. Sandwiched between a dance studio and a cafe in a shopping center that has seen better days. We arrived right at 6pm and 6 of their 12 tables were taken - good indication right there. We were seated promptly and I asked the couple at the table next to ours if it was good as they were leaving. They said yes and recommended the duck. I wish one of us would have but that's what next times are for! I'm very happy I had the Cashew Chicken! We sat down and I went to the restroom. I do this at every new place we eat at. I know, sounds weird but you can tell a lot about how clean the kitchen is by how clean the bathroom is! You can also look for insect activity LOL Anyway, I sat down and our server quickly took our drink and app order. We started with spring rolls which came out quickly and were delicious. While we were waiting for them I ordered Cashew Chicken. It comes with white rice and lots of vegetables. Honey ordered Thai House Fried Rice. It has pineapple in it and he wanted pineapple fried rice. It was the closest thing to it. Both dishes came out hot and steaming! Mine was served on two large plates. One with the scoop of rice and the other with the yumminess. I spread the rice out and dipped the dish over it. There was a lot of sauce and I used about half of it. It had cashews, chicken (you can also choose beef, pork or shrimp), carrots, celery, water chestnuts, red and green pepper, onions. It normally comes with mushrooms but I asked to leave that nastiness out. :) The Thai House Fried Rice included all of the above plus pineapple, broccoli, beef and 2 shrimps that should have been de-tailed in Honeys opinion. He loved it! He ate every bite ! My only complaint was that the dumplings only come steamed. We will definitely be eating here the next time we come to Highlands Hammock State Park Campground. *** Covid Update *** Business as usual as it can be in our new Covid world! 50% capacity. Lots of hand sanitizer. Employees all wearing masks. Like most restaurants, they closed and then reopened. I'm delighted to say the food and service remain the same 4+ stars. I showed up for lunch with a good friend. She went with the Thai Iced Tea and I went with an ice-cold Tsing Tao beer. Both hit the spot. Appetizers were my favorite standbys of Chicken Satay and Dumplings. I added a small Cucumber salad which was new to me but highly recommended. The Satay and Dumplings were as usual awesome, and the salad was fresh and a little sweet and delightful! For entrée lunches I went with Baby Corn & Mushrooms in a soy sauce and my friend went with Red Curry Shrimp. Both were spot on at considerably less than $10 each. I originally rated this establishment as poor because they would not seat us because all they had left was a larger table. We tried it again by getting there right when they opened. I'm glad we did. I had a noodle soup and it was very good. Seasoned well and very large. My husband had the Thai fried rice and was disappointed because it was bland. Friendly staff. Dark dining area. Dated interior. Food wise the place serves at a five star level. We were a party of two. We had the Chicken Satay & it was awesome. You can sear each skewer as you go. Tom Yum Gai soup was fiery & tasty with tender strips of chicken and crisp vegetable. The Yum Nua had tender pieces of beef with fresh crisp vegetables and the sauce had a real kick of heat to it. For mains we had a Beef Crazy Meat and a Shrimp Phad Poong Galee. I preferred the red curried Beef Crazy Meat over the yellow curried Phad Poong Galee. We ended our meal with the warm and delicious Banana Delight. Great place. I'm eager to return soon. read more

Thai House is in a strip mall that's slightly behind the strip mall that faces the road, so you'll need to be on the lookout for it to find it. Which is fine, because it's not the hugest restaurant in Sebring and we wouldn't want it to get too busy, eh? I had the steamed dumplings to start and they were pretty tasty. Good flavor, good consistency, though the corn kernels on top seemed a bit odd. Not too much time to study that inconsistency, my Pad Thai with shrimp arrived not long after. I should have said yes to my waitresses' question if I wanted the spice tray. While the noodles were tasty, they had none of the heat I would have expected from such a dish. So you'll want to make sure to get that. The number of shrimp was pretty good and they were nicely split (no veins!) and took up some of the flavor. Chicken would be a better choice though if you want to get some taste into the protein. The raw carrot and cabbage julienne garnish on the plate was a bit distracting though. Just push all of that to the side. The dumplings were good, the Pad Thai was good. It was all good. read more

What a disappointment. After an hour and a half drive only to be told our group was too large and be refused seating. We had a large group, but there was a table for 8 open and other tables that would have accommodated the balance of our group. We told them we were fine being seated separately. They told us no and, as I said, absolutely refused to seat us. One of the elderly people in our party is handicap and we really were willing to sit anywhere just to get him off his feet. Instead we had to help him back into the van and find another restaurant. I am hoping we were not working with a manager or owner? She is certainly not the person to have representing a business. I will continue to tell anyone who will listen about this experience. In my 57 years on this earth, I have never been treated this badly at a restaurant. The original post was for the NYC establishment which is very professional, clean and offers cooking classes.The Sebring version is pretty dire and has a justified reputation for terrible and rude service. Waitresses loudly discourse detrimentally about the customers. Food is mediocre at best and expensive for what it is. Miserable rice offerings and the only thing "occasionally" worth mentioning is the Satay but it is precooked and then you get a candle burner to reheat it. Avoid at all costs. Cong Tang do a better Thai offeering with far better service. read more

Thai House has a nice economical lunch menu with a number of appetizing options for about $7.25 an entrée. I ordered the Red Curry with Chicken and it was delicious. Strips of tender chicken were mixed with a variety of vegetables and soaked in a milky and sweet curry sauce. The dish had a nice flavor and the side of white rice soaked up the sauce nicely. Well it was Saturday night 7:30pm - my husband and I were super excited about eating Thai coconut soup. Upon entering we saw there was several people dining in and there was a small sign that said wait to be seated. The young girl said they were doing takeout only because they were worried about running out of rice and was for only takeout. My husband said we aren't ordering anything with rice and may dine in for coconut soup and she said no you can have takeout soup with a smirk. WTH?!? The Massman curry was really delicious. It was a large portion with rice. I also had to Pad Thai without egg. We added tofu to everything we ordered. Spring rolls and entrées were all excellent. I'd say the food - taste-wise ... mediocre is what it boils down to. Food is swimming with too much sauce and not enough meat in it! If there is no other Thai restaurant close to you and you're craving for one, this will do! So when we came in, no one was available to sit us so my husband and I seated ourselves, which seems to be standard at the time since we didn't see a sign saying we needed to wait to be seated. We were probably at the table for at least couple of minutes (not bad..) this taller-than-the-other wait staff walked passed by us as she just kind of threw the menu on our table while continued to strut away- no hi or hello or welcome whatsoever!! How rude was that??? The other wait staff came by and asked for our orders. I could tell she's not all there .. she didn't get my order correctly but she was kind enough to correct the order immediately. And.. to give her the benefit of a doubt, she might've been overwhelmed with the volume of customers and there were only two of them! But still not an excuse to just slam/throw the menu in front of the customer! read more
