I should have believed the reviews - instead I gave them a chance and I regret it. Staff was nice. Restaurant was clean. But that's where the positives stop. Drinks were watered down. I paid $11 for a watermelon margarita that tasted like a wine cooler. I had the carne asada. Completely inedible, not only was it overcooked, it was over peppered and dry. The beans tasted like they came straight out of the can. Salsa tasted like it had mangos or something in it. Not good at all. The worst part was the noise! There was a several blasts of "Happy Happy Birthday" over a loud speaker. It was so loud it shook the table! Nice place. Just wouldn't eat here ever again. read more

Recently visited with another couple for dinner. Started off well enough, the building, inside and out is attractive and there appeared to be a number of professional looking staff when we were seated. Things immediately started to go downhill though. My drink order took over 20 minutes and we had a hard time getting our servers attention as he appeared to be responsible for a huge section of the dining room and was clearly overwhelmed. Our friends both ordered a burrito extra spicy and the server asked "with jalapeños?" like that's the only way to make it spicy. They said OK and were served non-spicy burritos, but that didn't stop them from adding an extra $0.75 x2 to their bill for the non-existent jalapeños. My wife ordered a Burrito Azteca, which was supposed to have a "sour cream sauce" but instead had a rather disgusting looking and tasting white crust all over it. I ordered the Quesobirria Tacos, which probably had a total of 2 oz of meat and were served with "consomme", their version of an au jus. They were just OK, nothing to rave about. Visited last weekend with my mom and dad. We were sat down quickly! The restaurant is decorated with beautiful Mexican art, very in theme! There's also seating outside as well as plenty of seating inside. My dad and I ordered the Mezcal drink and it was SO delicious! Tasted like a spiked orange creamsicle! We each ordered tacos, dad ordered the fish tacos, and my mom and I ordered the pulpo tacos. They tasted SO GOOD! If you order guac, they make it table side for you and the guac was also fire. Place looks OK from outside and in. I was in town for the TA Series road course racing. I went to the toilet first thing and as I was washing up an employee exited the stall who was in the crapper before me so he was probly crapping. He did not wash his hands he went immediately back to work, WITHOUT WASHING HIS HANDS. I do not know what his job was there, regardless. The place had good chips but was missing an enchilada, usually three are served with a dinner at most places. Funny thing my card got declined and I said no problem I have five other peoples cards and pulled out another. The waiter said that is not what he wanted to hear. He asked why everybody left me at the table so I told him they do not want to be associated with a criminal. My card was declined because I was traveling and got flagged. Visited this new restaurant last night There were 7 of us we were seated at a table in the main dining area. Our waiter was pleasant and cared about us but the restaurant end failed. Our friend ordered fish tacos, wedge asked if she could have the fish friend. It came baked or sautéd not fried as asked for. A mango margarita was ordered and it was lousy had some kind of carbonated water or soda in it had to send it back. Our daughter had a steak fajita which was flavorful. The guacamole was nicely made table side. Kids had a burger which was tasty. My husband had a quesadilla which was very skimpy to say the least. Portion size good. He ordered a large fried fish platter, myself the enchiladas. He loved his course. My enchiladas? Good, but the ground beef almost had a steak sauce flavor which I could have done without. Not so good? My margarita was tasty. He orded a strawberry frozen margarita, eww, discarded. Tasted like pure sugary syrup. Second round I ordered a sangria? Again, way too much syrup sugar. He ordered a michelada. Now that was perfect. My three visits here have been like a roller coaster and unfortunately, not in a good way! My first visit and review was two stars but no surprise as they were new and working out the kinks. Months later, my second visit would have been four stars, but I was temporarily incompetent and forgot to review them! Moving on to my recent third visit and I'm sad to say we're back to two stars. On this visit my beautiful dining partner and I swooped in for lunch on a Sunday. The atmosphere is great, and I'm going to skip that and concentrate on the service and consumables. Service- Our server was extremely attentive. Actually, too attentive! I was trying to catch up with my partner and she was always interrupting. It was annoying. When we did engage with her the language barrier was bad. Add the mask and it was worse. Now add that she talked extremely fast and overall, it was a difficult situation. Needless to say, it was not pleasant. Adult Libations- I had two house margaritas which were of course, pre-made. The ice to liquid ratio was great but they were weak and had a slightly off flavor. My dining partner agreed. My partner enjoyed two different premium margaritas which were hand-made. I sampled them and we both agreed they were very good. Which lead me to my first tip-- Pro Tip- Skip the pre-made house margs and pay the extra for the hand-made premium versions. Food- I ordered the Asada Steak and Stuffed Poblano Combo Plate. My partner ordered the Combo Fajitas (steak, chicken & shrimp). They came out in a reasonable time. Note- Both meals are in the $16-$17 dollar range so this is not a cheap lunch! My entire plate was cool. My steak was flavorful but cool. My stuffed poblano probably would have been great had it been hot. The refried beans are served in a tiny taco shell. What I was served was the broth/gravy for the beans and no beans! So sad. My partners fajitas came out on a sizzling plate as expected. The portion was very good. Unfortunately, the chef/cook drizzled some kind of sauce over everything after the proteins were cooked. It was completely unexpected and just about ruined the meal for her. Without that sauce, the fajitas looked great. So we had an very expensive lunch in a great atmosphere with a sub-standard server and mediocre food. Can you say two stars once again? read more

We are here for business from California and we love Taco Tuesday. My friend was here last Tuesday but told me the place is nice but the food wasn't so good. This Tuesday I looked for a Mexican place but couldn't find anything nice so ended up here. Like he said the place is very cute outside&inside, we sat at the bar. I saw margarita machines, the bartender pouring a whole bunch of sweet&sour, gross. We ordered a big guacamole to start with, and I ordered combo fajita, both boys ordered burrito. It took a long time to bring us guac, we had to ask twice but it was really good (they added jalapeño which I love), then it took forever to bring us our dinner. Their burritos only had meat and cheese inside, it was weird then they put rice&beans and stuff on the side, my fajita was pretty good especially shrimp, and their house made green sauce was pretty spicy and good, red sauce was soso and my corn tortilla we were told it's a house made but it wasn't that good. Drink special days - good. Food- good. Service - good. Bar stools- a designers choice obviously because NO One in their right mind would ever choose them to sit in- especially at a bar. They do not swivel, the side "arms" are to far forward and they are so heavy you can hardly move them. It's like sitting on a high stool with half a beer barrel around you. Both times we went to the bar we noticed most everyone avoided the bar and sat in the surrounding booths. Even the bartender agreed they were awful.
