Cafe con leche
Arnaldo V.

The coffee with milk was the best I've ever had, better than Starbucks. Been here twice so the medianoche sandwich was so so (pork was bland). The waiter on the first time (Peruvian) was excellent. Very nice latino-cuban setting and the bakery goods were very tempting.

Their food is so good. I try to go there as much as I can. The service is always point on and the restaurant ambience is very friendly.

Cortadito

Best cortadito I've had in a while and for the small price of $1.50! I will absolutely be back.

Unfortunately, I was really hoping this would be a gem, but I fell ill after eating their Cuban sandwich. Something was definitely not right with the pork. We also bought some beef pastries and guava pastries and were equally disappointed. The beef was unrecognizable with barely any seasoning. The guava pastry looked great; however the dough was dry and tasted old. I can honestly say this was not expected and disappointing.

I gave it a 3 star because when you walk into this restaurant it's hard to get any service. The restaurant looks great I like the decor and the set up. The pastry was cold and it doesn't taste good when it's cold. I kinda wish they would have it on like a warmer so it would taste better.

This is my family's favorite breakfast spot in Sebring. All the waiters are extremely friendly. Their breakfast never disappoints.

Excellent, piping hot, Cafe con Leche!

So, what can you count on if you visit this fine establishment? You can bet Latin music will be playing in the background. Latin food at low prices. Can you say rice & beans and plantains? That wonderful Cuban bread and lots and lots of bakery items. Overall, you can count on a Latin experience especially at lunch or dinner! Arriving- They are in a large plaza on the northbound side of US Route 27. Look for the Micky D's and you're there! Simple parking with great handicapped spots for those folks that need a little help. Ambience- They are doing the best they can to give you a Latin-like experience, but they are limited by being in a cookie-cutter American plaza! There is an open feeling with booths around the edges and tables filling the center. The spacing is great. There is a bar that seats 6-8 along with a counter that is great for single diners. Latin décor on the walls. Not to be missed are the bakery cases! They are open for all three meals and this visit; I was there for breakfast. Customer Service- A little off this visit. It started fine. I was seated and had a menu and coffee quickly. Placing my order was a minor challenge as I don't speak Spanish, but I expected that and got it done. After my food arrived, I was ignored until it was time for the bill. This particular server needs to do better! Adult Libations- Beer & wine are available. Check out the specialty brews. Food- Breakfast is not a great example of the Latin dishes here as it is mostly standard American fare with a couple of Latin touches. I started with a Café con Leche. If that's new for you, it's similar to a latte but stronger and sweeter and delicious! For my meal I ordered an omelet with ham, onions, peppers and of course cheese. I laughed out loud when I discovered I could have French fries with it! See my pic. It also came with Cuban Toast. The pre-tip tab was $12.50 which is a steal! It came out quickly and yup, the fries were shoestring style and sure looked odd with the delicious omelet that was packed with filling. The toast needed to be browned a little more, but the bread was awesome! I was stuffed. A better Latin experience, with more traditional Latin dishes can be had at lunch or dinner. Overall, definitely worth a visit and an easy 4-stars.

This place is huge. The staff were nice & my items were reasonably priced. I don't go to Sebring often & I had time to kill. So I Yelp the closet place for breakfast and this pop up. It was super close to my doctors appointment. I got my guava pastry & a cafe con leche. I was in and out in no time.

My family goes here often so it'll always have a special place in my heart. We've been coming here since it was just a bar top and a few chairs. It's great to see how far this place has come. Food is always amazing never lacking. Service is always great, exactly what you'd expect at a Cuban cafe. Interior wise it's nice, they're always improving. When craving Latin food, look no further.

Cuban pressed sandwich

I'm a little divided on this one. The sandwich had excellent flavor and was freshly prepared. I couldn't find the cheese on it. The pork mixture was really nicely spiced but not in a traditional Cuban way. For a sandwich, it's a solid four. For an authentic Cuban, it's a three. The restaurant was clean and friendly. They had many nice options to choose from on the bakery side!

Packed with all tasty ingredients including eggs, ham, cheese, bacon and potatoes!

The food was okay. Not very flavorful in my opinion. I like heat and the salsa was very flat. Service was good. And the restaurant was cute.

Steak was too tough to eat. Told the waiter and was told order something else next time. Priced too high. Salad was only shredded lettuce.

The Cuban sandwich was very good. The bread tasted so good. A very good combination of flavors. We came when they first opened and we were the only two guests. We received really good attentive service. Being a minimalist I appreciated that the cafe looked clean and welcoming. Not busy. Simple good food. The cups need to be e replaced but still clean.

From a food standpoint alone, I'd absolutely come back. That said, the experience was a bit confusing and ended on a frustrating note. We weren't asked whether our order was for here or to go, and after ordering, our group of five sat down (we pulled together five chairs) and waited for our food. Despite that, everything came out in to-go packaging. When we walked in, we noticed other tables dining in had bottles with three different types of salsa available. However, we were only given a very small portion in a to-go container. I went up to grab a pineapple Jarrito and asked if we could use the salsa bottles since we were eating there. Instead, I was told no and that we had already been given to-go salsa--and they also tried to charge me extra for additional salsa. What made it more frustrating was that when I explained we were dining in, I was told that we had asked for our food to go, which wasn't the case. No one in our group was asked, and we had clearly sat down to eat inside. It felt unnecessarily rigid and dismissive, especially since we brought in a group of five and spent over $70. The food was genuinely great, but the lack of communication and flexibility on the service side made the experience feel awkward and disappointing. I'd still recommend the place for the food, but hopefully the service improves.
