This is kind of/sort of a specialty review for the amazing performance of the pharmacy in this new vaccine world of ours! History- I had multiple bad experiences getting vaccinated at your typical big box chain pharmacy. Long waits, botched appointments, screwed up paperwork, you name it. I experienced it! Several of my friends suggested I try Publix, so I gave them a shot. It's the fall vaccine season so, as an older Yelper I needed three shots and I like to do mine separately as opposed to simultaneously. This is my story. Online- An absolutely wonderful experience. Well-designed and easy to understand and navigate. Do all your paperwork here instead of on a clipboard at the pharmacy. I hate those clipboards! Appointments- You can go either way at Publix. You can do first-come-first-served or by appointment. If you enjoy root canals, go without an appointment! If you like smooth efficiency, get one online. It's quick and simple. So, I had three appointments over about five weeks. * For each one I was seen either early or on time. * There was no onsite paperwork! In just one case I needed to do an electronic signature. That's it! * In every case I was treated professionally and by genuinely friendly folks. * I can't tell you what a pleasure it was to walk out of the store 5 minutes after my appointment time on three separate occasions! This Publix is not as nice or fresh as the new ones that we now have in Charlotte but they still have the same selection and reasonable prices. Today's shop was just for one of their awesome subs and the gal who put it together did an A-OK job. Well stuffed with good toppings. A short wait at the self-checkout and I was on my way. Smaller parking lot but the cart corrals were clear. This Publix is A-OK. read more

Staff is very helpful, but the produce section really stinks. Very limited selection of fresh leafy veggies, and very overpriced for basic items such as kale, potatoes, avocados, etc... I guess when it's the only choice around you can charge what you want. I would give this a better review if there were more produce selection, with reasonable prices per pound. read more

Absolutely horrid responses from the south sebring, fl store! The child, and I say child because of her actions and obvious life inexperience, behind the pharmacy counter was aggressively zealous in her responses to a grieved customer. In my professional opinion, a person in a management role should have the skills of said position. I will no longer shop at the south sebring store, and will avoid Publix if given an alterior option. If you EVER get dairy from this Publix, check your expiration!!! I have gotten dairy items here, last night being the most recent, that is expired. This is NOT the first time. Caution! This review is for the Publix Fairmont Plaza. Addendum: This Publix continues to sell dairy and refrigerated items pass it's "Best By" sell date. I bought a box of Frozen Athens Fillo Dough with sell date of 08/08/2014. I didn't realize until I was going to use it today. Yes!! You read correctly. 2014!!!! Almost a year pass it's due date. If there was another publix closer to me, I would totally change my store. The surrounding groceries stores are not better either. So that means, as a customer, sadly, I'm screwed!!!! read more

I'd you've ever been to a real deli (where it takes 2 mins to make a sub) you'll find yourself waiting over 20 mins waiting for a basic sub... also they become overwhelmed and often need to write down the three ingredients ... and still get the order wrong. read more

Its newly renovated so the jury is still out as to most of the store but this review addresses the Sushi situation. I don't know why but the Sushi at this store is noticeably inferior to that of any Publix in more, how should I say, developed areas. Getting past the extremely limited selection (maybe 4 different options in the whole case) is difficult because every single package in the case contains paper thin slices of fish DOUSED and SMOTHERED with fried flakes and spicy mayo in rolls and pieces that are mostly just white rice. GROSS! There's absolutely NOTHING healthy about ANYTHING in the case. I look every time I am in the store and just get frustrated and walk right by. If they improve the quality and selection they may sell more, who knows? read more

It's almost impossible to get a hold of the deli department. Every time I called I was put on hold for 10 minutes. After 4 attempts, I called and asked for a manager, needless to say I was put on hold again and after waiting on the line for 10 more minutes, I finally got fed up and went to Winn Dixie. read more

This is my preferred grocery store in town. I'm a stickler for cleanliness and I've never seen -any- of the dirtiness mentioned by the other poster. The place is clean, the prices are what you would expect for a responsible, non-Walmart grocery store, but most importantly the workers there are wonderful people. It's very hard to find people who are clearly enjoying their work while doing it well, but at this Publix they really do and it shows in the quality of the establishment. Another note: it is VERY difficult to find certain types of food in this town, such as organic and ex-Pat, but Publix takes some pains to stock for that. It's not a huge selection of that nature, but they're at least trying in a Sebring market which doesn't necessarily support it. This is a high quality grocery store. If you're not looking for that kind of food or experience then enjoy your shopping trip to Walmart. read more

I absolutely love this Publix. I live close by so I am in there nearly every day. I am always greeted. I am always asked if I need help before asking, like they can read my mind that I can't find something. My favorite part, by far, is the pharmacy. They have the nicest, sweetest, most caring pharmacy staff. I am always greeted by name, and they have gone out of their way many times to make the process of getting medicine easier. I have never had a bad experience. It's always clean in that store. Great job with the renovation as well. read more

I like Publix, love the deli, Boars Head meats are the best. The sub sandwiches are great. The bakery is very good also.

This store is convenient for me to stop at on the way home. I shop here a lot, especially if I need something for dinner that evening or if I want some lunch because it is also close to the office I work at. However, the deli employees are not very friendly and treat you like you've never been to publix before. Alex and Dennis in the deli treated me like I was not even there. I was waiting to get some chicken one particular evening and they were both making subs. There was only one customer, and Dennis was making online orders. Which was fine, they were busy with something. But, even after standing there for a few minutes none of them acknowledged me there. So I went to the sub counter and waited for one of them to be free. There was no one in line but me and the one woman Alex was making a sub for already. A women approaches the chicken counter and Dennis stops what he doing to get her the chicken she wanted. Ok, fine. But WOW. Again, another woman come up to the counter for chicken, he helps her. But when I was there he just kept making his online orders. So then when Alex was done she asked me what could she help me with, I said I would like chicken. This girl tells me well you have to go over to the chicken counter, and she walks over there motioning me as well to come over. She tells me that I order chicken over here. I know this, I tell her, but when I was over there none of you helped me at all. But when the other women approached the counter, Dennis dropped his stuff he was doing to help them. Most poorly managed Publix market I've ever been in, especially Patrick who is completely incompetent. Can't deal with situations like long lines, and think to open another register, or apologize for operational problems. Do yourself a favor, and drive to the store on the north end of town, which is well run, except for the deli & sub area which needs a better ordering system and more personnel. read more

This publix is minutes from my house, so I shop here quite often. The store - and bathrooms- are always clean. When shopping for items on the Publix Weekly Flyer, the items are well labeled throughout the store to locate them easily. Also, they do put labels near items that are also in their coupon booklets (so you know to get a booklet and use the coupon), even if the item is also on sale. The staff is always friendly and very helpful when I am checking out with my two young children. The produce section and deli are my favorite of any store - best produce, subs, sweet tea, and fried chicken. The bakery section at this publix is also good. They were also very flexible and accommodating when it came to making my son's birthday cake, as their book did not have the theme he wanted. They let me make changes on a different cake and it came out wonderfully. The only negative for me is that I wish they had the fresh made sushi like the south Sebring Publix. read more
