I bought choline, When you open the bottle, the smell is awful. Online they said that they sold me a dose that was way too high. It would make me pee smell make me have bad breath, and I should've gotten a choline With a lower dosage, they would not let me exchange it for something else . They are very high in price and will try to accommodate you whatsoever. You're better off going off the website and getting vitamins. read more

I make a point of NOT going to this store because of "Barbara" (the owner)! She is arrogant, self-righteous, and manipulative! If I could have given NO stars, I would have! Read on, and you will see WHY... I had been using a particular product for 2-3 months (that I had only bought from this store) , and when I went to get it again (about early December of 2021) they were out of the LARGE bottle (which is what I always bought) so I asked for a "rain check." Sales staff said I would have to speak to the owner, who just flat out said, "No! We don't do that!" (This is NOT a corporate or Chain Store~ it's a LOCAL Business; a Mom-&-Pop store. SHE'S the OWNER; She can do WHATEVER she wants, but she had NO interest in working with me at all). She said I could get 2 of the smaller bottles (which would have cost me about $15 MORE for the SAME NUMBER OF CAPSULES as one large bottle!). That's just ridiculous~ only an IDIOT would have accepted that!! The large bottle was on back-order, and they weren't sure when it would be in. I didn't care that it was on backorder, and didn't mind waiting, but I wanted the sale price... I wanted the Large bottle for the advertised price. The ONLY thing she would allow was for me to "Buy it/PAY for it Now, (the large bottle) and they would call me when it came in." SO, they effectively "Held my money HOSTAGE" for about 2 & 1/2 months. When they called to say it had finally come in, I went in and asked for my money back (I had saved my receipt!) rather than pick up the supplement. We just left the store. Unfortunately the older woman woman ringing us up was horribly rude. The tags for the sale were on the items we were buying. They were ringing up incorrectly, so we asked about the pricing. She fixed the cereal. Which was ringing up $7.95 a box, but sale price was $3.50. So pretty big price difference, we got 4 boxes. Then we got some frozen burritos they also, unfortunately, rang up incorrectly. So we of course asked about it. I apologized to her for the inconvenience, she not one time apologized to us. She rang up 4 of the burrito's but only took off 3. I asked her about it. She literally said to me, "I only rang up 3 if you would let me do it before you opened your mouth!" She was so rude. She only did take off 3 and was not correct and ended up taking off the 4th one. I then explained we travel the country and go out of our way to always try and support local businesses. I also explained we drove 45 minutes out of our way just to come to the store! Unfortunately my young 9 year old daughter was there to witness the whole situation. We used that as a lesson in life, an example of how we don't treat other people! I really hope whatever of going on in her life to have her be so so rude to customers will be fixed soon and her days get better. Unfortunately I have to leave a poor review. This saddens me. I truly enjoyed this store/market. They have so many healthy options to choose from, that you cannot leave without feeling healthier and happier. I absolutely love their deliciously healthy fruit and vegetable shakes, especially the tropical greens. Also, if you walk around they have a wide selection of almonds, nuts, pecans, cacao beans etc. Which are very healthy. You can buy some and make a healthy drink at home. They make healthy lunch salads as well and sell vitamins. Overall, wonderful place to go to and be healthy. read more

This is a great family owned business. Wonderful and knowledgeable staff, with a wide selection of supplements, health foods and bulk items. The all organic juice and smoothie bar is amazing, Sabrina can really make a tasty smoothie, and they have a bunch of supplements to add to your tasty beverage. They also have a decent selection of organic produce, would like a wider variety and the prices are reasonable. The organic pineapple I bought was the sweetest and juiciest I have ever had. The sales people at Food for Thought are very helpful and knowledgeable about the products this store sells. The problem is with the owner. I recently purchased a protein shake for my husband who is on a liquid diet. Mary was very helpful and recommended several unflavored products. I chose Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein, Unflavored. I chose unflavored in order to mix a verity of fruits with it for different tastes. I never though to ask how the product tasted since it is suppose to be unflavored. I got home and made a shakes with blueberries. I gave it to my husband and he took one swallow and said how awful it tasted. I took a taste and almost gagged. This product has a very chalky taste (suppose to be unflavored). I called to ask if I could return the product since the taste was so bad. The person who answered the phone told me yes. When I got there, there was a different person and she said she had to ask the owner. The owner said no. I had already contacted Garden of Life who told me their distributors are suppose to take back product and they will refund the distributor. They even called the owner who told them they do not take back product because it tastes bad. Even Garden of Life doesn't stand behind its own product. They will not even refund me the distributor cost for the product. Only go to Food for Thought if you are sure the product will work and taste as advertised. I used to buy my organic pasta from them. Love the fact that I can get the supplements locally, staff is friendly,kind, and somewhat helpful when trying to find something in their store. However, some things do need to be said; the organization of products is somewhat daunting (difficult) for a customer and medical nor health advise should ever be given by a sales person. This seems to be an ongoing problem for this store. I found the organization by brand and supplement name the easiest for singular supplements ( I . E. Now Potassium) and for combined supplements by brand and category ( I.E. Beautiful nails or arthritis). Secondly, don't take health advise from a sales associate nor should one give health/ medical advise as a sales associate. These people working here are there to sell you a product, they do not have medical training or pharmaceutics training that will help you with your personal health support needs. I suggest everyone whom decides to use supplements realize that they do not cure anything, they merely supply your body with a nutrient you are not able to create naturally in your own body or one that you are lacking. Supplements are to support your natural balance necessary to live. If you take the wrong supplement; it can harm your health.For best results, you must acquire your medical records and blood test results from your doctor or hospital records facility and read what your actual health issues are. You must decide from your own research what to do about your health. Anything you find that you are uncertain about; you can research on the Internet in medical books, blogs, or documents from researchers. Please read more than one opinion from valid researchers before concluding on a decision. Do not take your health for granted by believing what anyone tells you.
