    Crab fried rice
    Mike Z.

Came here for restaurant week last month and had a blast, and a blast of flavor! Our server was particularly nice and really helped to explain everything in the menu. With a large group, we tried all of the options on the restaurant set and everything was delicious. Since these are just from the regular menu, I would recommend the prawn rolls, the crab fried rice, and the branzino; these are just personal preference though, as everything was really great!

Service: 4.8/5 Food: 4.6/5 Typical Price: $70/$135 prix fixe + optional drinks + add-ons A RW deal that's actually worth it. It's cheaper than the "For 1" prix fixe for exactly the same meal + 1/2 the price of the "For 2" prix fixe that has +2 apps. Can't speak on if the portion sizes are the same, however, what they served was enough to leave me satisfied. I arrived a little late + still got seated pretty quickly. While a more casual setting, they had a high caliber of service (new dishware + cleaned tables b/w each course, napkins folded when you step away, etc.). They do the tip calculation correctly (based off subtotal, not including tax). Music + convos fill the space without feeling chaotic or overly crowded, maybe because the dining areas are broken up by the kitchen. Simple decorations line the walls in the form of posters + maps. *recommend What I Ordered: - tuna carpaccio*: like a sushi tostada, familiar flavors, loved - scallop crudo: sweet + unexpectedly spicy, an elevated app - crab fried rice: a saucy-looking soft scrambled egg, vague omurice plating, the large crab lumps, no wok hei - crispy pork belly*: SUCH crispy skin + tender meat, only pork belly i've liked, veggies gave balance, but sauce + herbs added nothing - branzino: crispy skin + flaky fish, little spicy massaman-like sauce, bits of scallop felt like an attempt at making it fancier - pineapple sorbet: basically dole whip, fresh - coconut sundae: couldn't taste the Viet coffee, crunch topping was the highlight

My boyfriend and I originally came here for restaurant week but decided to do the prix fixe menu since it was only around 10$ more and since it offers full sized dishes as opposed to the reduced size the restaurant week menu offers. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of food we were getting, it was actually difficult to finish because the portions were so big and there were so many courses. A few memorable dishes: the fried chicken was hot and steamy, fresh off the fryer. The skin was crispy crunchy and savory. The meat was tender, hot and juicy. The branzino had a refreshing element from the fruit in the sauce and was delicious. The coconut sundae had the perfect amount of creaminess, sweetness and crunch from the toppings. I will say we were a bit unimpressed by the crab fried rice--it wasnt bad it just wasnt memorable. Service was extremely attentive and welcoming which we were surprised by since we thought itd be more of a casual restaurant Overall, had a great great time. Food was amazing, portion sizes were great, service was amazing, and the price i feel is reasonable for what you pay for. Would recommend!

Bigger than expected restaurant space in midtown. There's seating in the front for smaller groups and larger format seating in the back. I was really excited to try SEA by Jungsik as a lover of Southeast Asian food and lover of 3 Michelin starred Jungsik. I'd describe SEA as Jungsik's more casual, less intimidating sister restaurant with quality food. We ordered just about everything on the menu and it was all delicious. I recommend the following dishes: -Spicy beef tartare -Fried chicken (which has to die for Zabb seasoning) -Dry tom yum noodles -Crispy pork belly -Coconut sundae The reason this review is 4 stars is because service was a bit awkward and subpar. I'm not sure if it was because the circular booth for my group of 6 was awkwardly configurated, but our servers just handed us our fresh plates and utensils. At one point, two people in our party each only received one chopstick? It was fine and the staff was friendly about it, but was a kind of funny thing to miss on. Still would recommend this place to friends because the food is really great.

Came for restaurant week and I would say the food was okay but the service was a mess. There was a huge crowd of people at the door and it was impossible to check in for our table. Once we sat down it was quite a while before anyone came over with a menu or water, and throughout the night it continued to be tough to get attention for water. They brought someone else's check and credit card to our table, and then were confused when I asked for our check. The food might've been better but by the time it reached our table a lot of it was lukewarm. I had higher expectations for the price point

This was a wonderful flavor experience. The prix fixe 120 covers both people and we added an extra main course of short rib, which I highly recommend. It was incredibly tender and came with a delicious curry sauce and roti. I would recommend sitting in the back area vs the front as it has a more modern elegant vibe.

Visited here for NYE dinner and was blown away by how good the food and drinks were! They have a decent amount of space with a more casual setting in front and date vibes towards the back with some spacious booths. We never felt rushed throughout dinner and they did a really great job at spacing out the food. We opted for two prix fixe between four people which was the perfect amount of food. We got to try so many dishes and I would happily order them all again. Everything had a bit of spice as a PSA, but nothing was overly spicy. The only change I wish could be made is to have at least one warm dessert as an option. Cant wait to return!

I went to Sea for the first time last week and I can "sea" why diners love this restaurant. I hardly ever give 5 star ratings but Sea deserves it. I hope they get a Michelin star soon. I can't believe restaurants like Tuome are ranked by Michelin and not sea. Service is exemplary. Our water was knowledgeable, attentive and very nice. Although the restaurant was busy, he found time to check in on all the tables around. Water was refilled regularly by the staff. The food is some of the best Asian Fusion I've had in NYC, and there are a lot of good ones:". My favorites: - Spicy Tuna Sashimi (texture and tastes 5 stars) - Chicken Wings (golden brown and delicious) - Crab Friedrice (chunks of crab meat, flavor bomb) - Blackcod in curry (give me one to go pls) - coconut/ hazelnut ice cream (insatiable) Please hold a table for me. I'm coming back soon.

We came for Restaurant Week on a Friday and the restaurant was not busy. It took awhile before we were seated, but once seated, the service was attentive. The restaurant was decorated with posters and it was bright inside; it had a more causal ambiance than I was expecting. We both ordered the tuna carpaccio for the appetizer and the pineapple sorbet for the dessert. For the mains we decided to get one of each and share them all. The mains were crab fried rice, dry tom yum noodles, branzino, and crispy pork belly. The tuna appetizer good; the rice paper added a nice texture with the tuna, and they also had a strong citrusy sauce on top. The crab fried rice was good, but nothing special. I enjoyed the dry tom yum noodles, but my friend thought it was just okay. The sauce on the branzino was really flavorful, but the portion of the branzino was small, and the bay scallops were not good. The crispy pork belly was prepared well, but the portion was also small. The pineapple sorbet had a strong pineapple flavor and was a nice way to end the meal. Overall I thought the food and flavors were good, but I'm not sure if it was worth the Restaurant Week deal, as the portions were smaller than their regular portions, and they do have their own regular pre-fix menu.

Pretty awesome southeast Asian flavors! The whole fried branzino was massive. The crab fried rice was also pretty tasty.

This was excellent. The ribs and crudo were particularly amazing, and I also really loved the black cod. (My wife was less on the fish itself, but we both agreed the red curry it was in was incredible.) We also loved the crab fried rice, especially with the hot peppers it came with on the side. I might skip the prawn rolls next time. I definitely won't skip the pineapple sorbet.

    Amanda W.

Solid spot for food, and a welcome addition to the area. There are some unique southeast Asian fusion dishes. I recommend the pork as well as the chili eggs (which surprisingly had a non-fish fish sauce).

I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer.
