This was one of the first restaurants my husband and I went to after moving to Columbus. We went on a Sunday at 10am and were prepared to wait. After only 10 minutes, we had a great seat! I usually hate two person tables... They're usually too tiny and in an awkward spot by the door or the kitchen, but this was right in the middle of the restaurant- great spot! Our waitress was super friendly and efficient. She made me feel right at home! The food was excellent!! They have an awesome menu... Simple items as well as unique... healthy if you want it or full of calories if that's what you want too ;-) the prices were as expected, not too much. I loved it! I have eaten here with family for the second time. Always come on a Sunday when it is the busiest and usually wait 15-20 minutes. I do not usually like to wait at a restaurant more than 10 minutes, everyone is rushed, cannot give good service that way! Well we sat down and ordered an omelette, and some fruit on the side. It took a while to bring out the food. It was longer than the first time and probably the kitchen was on overload. Well, I got my omelette! Pretty bland. Expected more flavor from this. The fruit, they should not have served, it must not be a good seller in the winter time. Cantalope should be firm not soft and slimy. I come here often and signed up for their emailing list that they had recently promoted. I got the weekly coupons but couldnt use them (I haven't had ink for my printer in years) because even though they had coupon codes because they had to have a paper copy of the coupons-even though they distributed them electronically. That made me sad because everyone loves coupons, but if I had known I couldn't use them in the form they were distributed, I may have come better prepared. read more

The first time I have been to scramblers was on Sunday. We were able to find parking right away. The wait time was 20 minutes which was expected for a Sunday lunch. We waited less than 20 minutes which was great. Our server was Emily and she was really nice. Our food came out pretty quick and we were so happy with what we ordered and how it tastes. Then biquits and gravy were delicious along with my chocolate chip pancake. It was a great experience. Our bill was close to $27 which was really reasonable for all of the food that we got. read more

Was visiting Columbus for a concert and wanted to grab a quick bite to eat before heading back home. I saw Scrambler Marie's come up through a google search and had to give it a shot, and let me tell you, I was blown away. First, their service was top notch. We were seated immediately and our waitress was more than kind. As we all know, traveling can make you homesick. But, during my meal at Scrambler Marie's I felt like I was back home. I will never forget my visit to Scrambler Marie's and will most definitely be stopping by my home away from home the next time I'm in Columbus. This was ALWAYS out go-to breakfast place when living in the New Albany/CBUS area. Everything was always fresh, hot, and tasty. It is a small perk, but I also enjoyed that fact that they have different flavored creamers at the table(Fresh Van, Irish Creme, Hazelnut, Reg). I'm always looking for new breakfast places and finally stopped in here after passing by for so long. I actually went there two times before posting this review, hoping my experience would change. The first time, it took almost 25 min to get me and my fiancé seated even though there were tons of open tables. The server kept ignoring us, took 15 min for us to be able to put our orders in. The pancankes were delicious, by the way. Then we had to chase our waitress down to get our check. Because the pancakes were so good the first time, I decided to go back by myself on a Friday morning. When I walked in there was a couple waiting to be seated. THREE waitresses and who I assumed was the host looked at us for at least 5 minutes from 10 feet away but didn't bother to come sit us. There were easily more than 10 empty tables. After the host came over, it took an additional 15 minutes for me to get seated. I have no idea why because there were so many open tables, the place was empty! When I finally got seated, all I could see was how filthy the carpet was around my section. Chunks of food, napkins were all over the floor. Disgusting!!!! I ordered my pancakes and they were brought out by someone different than my waiter. They were delicious, once again (thank God!). This time the waiter actually asked if I wanted more pancakes (they are bottomless but I wasn't even asked my first time). They are pretty big and filling so I declined. Waited a little bit for my check and left. Truthfully, the pancakes are a reason to come back but the service is just HORRIBLE. I hope the manager reads this and is able to make some changes. Stick to the egg dishes, they're done well. The french toast, pancakes etc. have been super dry the last three times we've visited this location, literally the worst I've ever had (french toast un-battered in the middle.) Confusing since the scrambles and omelets are soft and seem carefully made. Maybe they're pre-preparing the sweet items too far in advance and they dry out - idk? Will not be back. I was there recently and the food quality was not good. How can a breakfast place not be able to fry an egg to order or give you potatoes that are burnt and expect the customers to like it. I asked for fresh potatoes and they brought out uncooked ones. I figured that it must of just been that day so I went back today. The place was slow but I wasn't greeted by anyone or seated. All I heard was workers talking amongst themselves. I yelled out asking if anyone was there. I yelled three times only to see other customers laughing I figured they didn't want my money so I left. I'm done. So, we've been there several times now. We'll get a good meal one time, a bad the next. The last time we were there, we had a good meal and great service. So, we went back this morning. Big mistake! We got there and who seemed to be doing the host job was milling around and not on top of things. A waitress---who'd been the great server last time---looked up at us and said "i'll be with you in a few minutes." She then went back to running bills and filling condiment containers. After sitting for a while, I asked the host if he could seat us and he did. And then we sat, and sat, and sat, and sat. The host did take our drink order, but these never appeared. We asked him about 20 minutes in if our waitress knew we were there. He said he'd check. Then he went over and started seating other people. A few minutes later, we called it quits and as we were packing up, the waitress came over with our drinks and said "I hope you all are playing musical chairs." And we said, no--we're leaving. She then said, I just told you all I'd be with you in a few minutes. She slammed the drinks down and starting busing the table saying, that's fine, just go. No apologies for wherever it was that she disappeared to--no, please sit down and I'll get you served. We'll never go back again, to any of these locations. Inconsistent quality, and to have someone be downright ugly to you when you've been waiting for 25 minutes with a hungry toddler--really unacceptable. I'm mad enough to write their corporate headquarters. At least as I was leaving, I warned others who also left. read more

It's not that hard to cook eggs, bacon and pancakes. This is bland ordinary food with no real flavor. They don't have fresh dairy creamer, they have the prepackage nondairy packets. My food was cool to the touch. They add water to the orange juice. Overall uninspiring bland food. I will not return. read more

We've been down this way a couple of times in the last few months. The first time we ate at First Watch on Morse Road and the second time we thought we'd try this place, well, let me say, we wished we'd gone back to first watch! We were seated and served quickly enough, but the idea is to get a good meal! We ordered water, which tastes as if it was well water, the ice and lemon in it did not mask the taste of the well. I ordered the quiche which was okay and literally burning hot! My side of fruit was served with 90% honey dew, a few grapes and 2 very small pieces of pineapple, to top it off there was an extremely shriveled and bruised slice of orange. My husband had the American, and it looked about how we feel about being Americans right now! The eggs were as ordered and the toast okay, but the potatoes looked and tasted as if they had been there since 6:00 am when they opened. The three pieces of bacon that came with it looked even worse then the potatoes. In fact, my husband picked them up and said this is the saddest piece of shriveled up meat I've ever seen, which not only made me laugh, but conjures up all different kinds of shriveled up meat that one does not want to think about at this hour of the morning! My husband and I have been to this Scrambler Marie's location twice now. The first time - it was just ok. The second time - unacceptable. I'm not one to go out and write reviews but I felt I had to voice my thoughts somewhere. On a Sunday in late April we dined in. The host, who appeared to be the manager mind you, was outrageous. I watched him cuss at his servers over touching the thermostat, complain about other employees and be overall unprofessional. Once we were finally seated, we waited a good ten minutes before a frazzled waitress came to our table with really disgusting fake nails. Again, I'll give credit where it's due...it was a Sunday, most likely their busiest day and it was around noon. But for what follows, there is no excuse. After our food taking a good amount of time to arrive, it was wrong. I ordered normal stuffed French Toast - nothing fancy here people. What I got was a mystery. My husband and I made attempts at guessing. Was it hazelnut something? Was it chocolate? Whatever it was, it wasn't good or really edible. Our waitress did not come back to check on us and finally when she did come to drop off the check I asked her what my meal was. Tiramisu toast. What? Now some of you reading this may say, "wow, that sounds delicious". Well, it wasn't. And it wasn't what I ordered. I was polite to the girl as I was in the restaurant business for 7 years myself as a server and simply stated I didn't order that and didn't like it. Her response? Blank stare. Eventually said she'd talk to her manager. Offer to replace it? No. Offer to correct it? No. Take it off my check (didn't eat it)? No. Did a manager ever come by or did I ever in fact see her talk to a manager? Nope. You get the point. So basically we paid $25 for food and I didn't eat my $7 breakfast. Overall, unprofessional, mismanaged and somewhat gross. Save your money and go elsewhere such as First Watch or Bob Evans. read more

Where do I start...we arrived at the Scrambler Marie's and were told we would have a 15 minute wait, seated us in about 30. Didn't complain, my family and I were in town from Chicago for the Ohio State vs. Illinois football game and were happy to be spending time together. My father ordered a steak, medium RARE, hash browns extra crispy, and eggs over easy. Steak came very well done, and hash browns almost soggy. I ordered the endless french toast, didn't want to eat half, and a fruit cup, which is a sliver of an orange slice, 3 small pieces of unripe honeydew melon, 2 unripe pieces of cantaloupe, and 3 perfectly sweet grapes; the best part of my meal. Will not go back! Not only was the food cold, but it was fairly inedible. We were the first of 8 tables, and they were not overly busy. However things were getting sent back to the kitchen. The hollindase sauce was thick like custard, and when we sent it back the 2nd take was no better. Waitress was a doll, she kept apologizing, so we asked to speak to the manager. Got to the restaurant and had a short expected wait got seated once seated took a little longer that it should have to see our waitress but understandably so they were fairly busy waiters comes over takes our order and brings our drinks food took at least 30-45 min to get there once again ok they are busy this happens but our food gets brought out separately not just hers then mine but both in parts and no not appetizer then entree it was here's your omelet and your potatoes come out 20 min later and your bacon comes out much later and a piece is half raw one girl brought a part of our meal and as I was not rudely might I add but very calmly explaining what was missing or was just plain wrong slowly took a couple steps back then just walked away without a word several other things that were off with this dining experience but not enough time to list anyhow I would not recommend nor will I probably be returning to this establishment read more
