The ice cream tastes good but very expensive. A single scoop is about $4.75 if I remember correctly. The interior is kind of dark and looks deserted (no pun-intended). Considering that their are more affordable options with bigger portion sizes out there, I will most likely not come back here. read more

Gross!!!! I went in today with my family. The young boy who worked there was at the register taking the money from the customers in front of us. He gave them their change and then took my order. He NEVER washed his hands. After touching money he went straight over and got my cone with no gloves and dirty hands. Then scooped my ice cream and touched it with his hands. That's so incredibly disgusting. Then he over charged me. I told him I only got 3 cones not 4 and that my total was wrong. He was so confused and thought 3 cones at $4 each was $16. Anyway I would never go back! It's dirty, cluttered and clearly they violate health department regulations. read more

great little ice cream shop in the heart of Old Town Clovis. on our last visit, daughter got the chocolate, husband got the coconut almond chip, and i got the cake batter cookie dough. if you just want a small, get the childs because the ice cream is so rich and sweet, the regular small cup will be too much sweetness. i really like that they use locally made fresno state ice cream, and when we were in there they were making the waffle cones. smelled sooo good. read more

The ice cream here is very sweet but very flavorful. The sugar is not overpowering. The price is right for what you're getting. It's a cute little spot, you will probably want to take photos in there. My daughter could not stop asking me about who was in every picture on the walls, it was a great experience. Scoops is in the middle of downtown Clovis, which is a very beautiful town to take a walk through. We were told by my cousin that Scoops was the best ice cream in town. I ordered a single scoop of mint chocolate chip on a waffle cone. When I got it, It was huge! The portion size is crazy. I guess a single scoop to them means 5 scoops. The ice cream was delicious. I also tasted the strawberry lemonade, which was very refreshing, and the banana nut which was a little to sweet for me. The decor was great. There are all kinds of vintage Elvis and Marylin Monroe pictures, and other concert posters. The place is a little crowded though because the tables are right next to the counter where people are trying to order. Overall, Scoops is a great choice on a beautifully hot afternoon. read more

Best ice cream in town! The service is not the best but mainly because I would guess it's mostly kids first jobs and are sometimes more interested in talking to each other than customer service. I have seen a few times people smacking chewing gum which is kind of gross to be doing when you're handling food. The ice cream is bomb though read more

I recently visited this place for the first time with my grandparents today and we got a ham sandwich and a tuna. While eating our sandwiches we noticed what could be some mold on them. Not making a big deal we left and decided after walking around we would try some of their fresno state ice cream. The young kids that were working their seemed to be more concerned about their conversation and phones that they ignored us for awhile as we stood there, then got our ice cream as quickly as possible so they could continue their conversation. So horrible customer service the second time. The only reason I am giving this place 2 stars is because the fresno state ice cream was very delicious. read more

Poor score due to not being greeted or asked to be served today. Visited the store around 12:15 pm today. I wanted to check out the soups for lunch. There was one customer ahead of me and no one behind me. After serving the first customer the two ladies went along their business behind the counter talking about microwaving the soups. Two other customer walked in and waited. The lady at the counter started serving the newer customer inside of me. In my opinion, this shows poor customer service. A greeting to everyone walking in could help the problem of avoiding customer. read more

I can't tell you if the ice cream was good or not, I never got that far. I walked in on a Saturday morning, waiting for a shop to open, and the place looked a little dim. It kind of reminded me of a general store back in the 30s or 40s, which I've only seen in history books, not in person. There were customers at a couple of the tables, but no server at the counter. I waited a few minutes, then someone walked out of the back, with phone in hand and continued her conversation. I went in today to get two sandwiches to go. The gal at the counter seemed to have a little trouble getting my order down, but she verified things and seemed to have it right in the end. When I got home and we opened up the sandwiches, my husband and I were disappointed that our order wasn't right. Wrong bread, mayo and tomato when I asked to leave those off, etc. The food wasn't bad. However for the price of the sandwiches I'm disappointed we couldn't get what we ordered. I was really let down when taking the grandkids here today. Many of the ice creams you can tell had been melted and refrozen. All 4 of us got out ice cream and they all tasted freezer burnt. On a good now the guys behind the counter were nice!!!! read more

I don't know how this place keeps it's business!!! Maybe fresno state alumni support the Fresno state ice cream. Went to get some quick food to eat. My girlfriend orders a garden salad and a turkey sandwich. I ordered a chicken bake. After waiting 20 min. My girlfriend finally had her food, only after having others been served before us. I was hoping that my meal was being prepared by the cook behind the counter, only to find out he was preparing it for someone else. I asked if they started my meal, and the workers response was "shit". The food sucked. Turkey on the sandwich was dry and and garden salad overpriced for something one can make a home. I will definitely give the Fresno State ice cream 5 stars however, I am sure this is the ONLY reason why this place is still in business. They were recommended for their delicious sandwiches. I think I missed?? I could have made a better sandwich at my own home. I felt there wasn't anything special and you only had a few items to choose from. Thursday April 17 pm for after dinner ice cream. First time into Soups Scoops and more. I have lived in Clovis just over a year now and don't know why i've never been in. Decor was great, like stepping back in time. Kids working were great, friendly, and knowledgeable. They helped us promptly, spent time telling us about the different flavors and even let us try a few kinds. They were patient with my kids and even had my shyest son laughing! The ice cream was great! we were just going to get cones for the kids, but after tasting how great the ice cream was, we all had cones. We will be regulars from now on. Many folks at my church say the food is great so we can't wait to try it!! read more

I was so offended today when I went in to Soups & Scoops to get an Italian soda. Last Friday I went in and got a large one for $3.25 today I ask for a large and they give me a medium one & tell me thats the only size cup they have ever had & they charge $6.25. I explain thats not what I paid on Friday & the size was larger. The woman was very rude & basically called me a liar. I couldn't believe how rude the short black haired older employee was. I've been going to scoops & scoops for 15 years & have never been treated so horribly. I will not be going back until the owners deal with their employee & teach that horrible woman what customer service is. read more
