I finally got around to trying this place today. For the most part, my experience was good. Let's get the negatives out of the way first....... Ordering was a bit awkward. After reviewing the menu selection, it felt like I was waiting for a while just for a staff member to acknowledge us. Instead, the workers were standing with their backs to us , and left us standing there for a while. In fact , I was so confused I was looking around for a kiosk to order my food. The next thing that I didn't like was the price of our lunch. 45.00 for one sandwich , two small cups of soup , two fountain drinks , and a dessert. Seems pricey for a sandwich spot. I get it - this is a step up from Subway. However, for what I spent - I expected more. Finally, the dining room tables were grimy. I had to clean off our own table before the food arrived. I felt like this was inexcusable considering the amount of staff standing around not doing much. Here is what I did like. The menu has a nice variety of hot or cold sandwiches, sides , and desserts. Everything sounded so good. Today, I opted for the Monterey chicken sandwich. While the flavor was good, it ate a little messy. I had chicken pieces falling out and cheese oozing out of the bottom. I don't think I would order this again- there appears to be better options to choose from. The baked potato soup was really good ( salty but delicious)! Hands down , the best thing we tried was Gary's chocolate cake. That cream cheese frosting was heavenly! Heads up- this cake is super sweet ,and a little goes a long way. Lord have mercyyyyyyy. I love my greens. A first for me at sequoia sandwich company. The spring salad was absolutely delicious to me. Paired with a poppyseed dressing compliments all the tangy and sweetness.(it may be a little sweet for some) the full salad is big. I had enough for 3 meals. The only thing that I noticed missing was strawberries but that's ok not a big deal for me as they adjusted my order with extra toppings. Thankful for that. The tuna sandwich has a sauce, that brings the tuna sandwich together. It compliments it well. The Yukon salad is ok. Wasn't my favorite but it wasn't terrible. I'll still eat it. It was a busy shopping day and I needed a quick bite. I attempted to go to broilers but they were closed so I came next door to Sequoia. First timer and never really heard about this place before. Walking in it felt old and dated with poor lighting. It was also a little unkept. Service was average. $15 for the grilled chicken sandwich which came with guac, lettuce and tomato +mayo, no onions for me. Overall, the sandwich was not bad. Giving one star rating is one star too many for this place. The only customer in the entire place and they could not get their act together and get my food out. It cost $50 for two NASTY sandwiches. They were absolutely disgusting and the majority of them were thrown away. I actually had to go up and ask about my order because the workers were standing around laughing and gossiping about NOTHING along with the two friends that came in and helped themselves to both food and drinks. I'm sure management will appreciate knowing that "friends" are eating for FREE. My first mistake was walking in and my second was not asking for my money back. I must go to the clinic monthly to have my implanted device serviced and on our way home my son takes me there to buy my favorite sandwich. I wait in the car because I am disabled but he has never been inside more than 10 minutes. The sandwich is the All American roast turkey ham with baby Swiss cheese lettuce and tomato with mayo and Dijon mustard on squaw bread. The sandwich is expensive $17.75 but I consider it a rare treat so I indulge every month as they are absolutely delicious. They have a considerable sandwich menu including hot sandwiches that I may get around to trying but for now I'm so satisfied with just the one it's the only one I order. read more

Well the weather made it soup and Sandwich time. So Sequoia Sandwich Company delivered. We really didn't get soup this visit however the sandwiches and salads that we did try this visit were delicious. We visited at lunch time so it was busy but seating was available and the outdoor seating was plentiful as well. The counter service was okay and we received our meals in good time. The vibe of the place is a local gathering place folks having a great meal and good conversation. Menu is very large with many great selections. We have gotten it multiple times due to the location. My MIL likes the squaw bread. But other than that the flavors are mostly a miss for me. The sauce is too much or the saltiness is too much, ratios just aren't quite right for me.... not my favorite. For the price there are plenty of other options. So I *really* wanted to love this place. The bread was delicious. But my sandwich was not made with the correct cold cut & I had asked for the Dijon mustard to be swapped out for yellow mustard. Sequoia Sandwich Company makes delicious and unique sandwiches that definitely hits the spot! The ambiance is typical for regular deli spots, nothing too fancy but it does have a lot of room to sit and eat! I always get the New Yorker and while it's one of their specialty sandwiches which means it's a bit on the pricey side it's 100% worth it for the amount of meat you get. The staff were also extremely friendly and quick to answer questions or a to go bag when we requested it. I definitely would recommend anyone who loves a good sandwich and maybe wants to try some new sandwiches to give them a try! read more

My husband and I both ordered one. It just straight up is not good. The canned ingredients on top of it, chicken was just not good today very gamey. Ucckk grossed me out. Sesame dressing just was okay. I mixed it and started eating just tasted terrible. Didn't feel fresh, just made me lose my appetite. So bummed!! My California club came piled high with herb roasted chicken breast bacon and I added onion because I'm Mr. Onion. Ate half and I was stuffed! Drove in from Visalia to do some shopping and decided to stopped by. My husband said he tried the sandwiches once at a work meeting. No matter how many times I go here, I always leave happy. I want about 1 PM on a Saturday, and the restaurant wasn't too busy. The tables were clean, and you could tell he's been wiped down. There's no trash on the floor. The cashier was attentive and friendly. Many people were walking in to pick up to go orders. Today I had the Tri Tip Cobb salad. My tri tip was absolutely cooked to perfection. The salad is wonderfully balanced with purple onion, blue cheese and red bell peppers, and the ranch dressing is thick and creamy. The only thing I wish they would add to this salad is egg. If you eat here, you absolutely have to try one of their in-house made desserts. I'm not a huge fan of their butter cake, but their cookies are phenomenal, their banana pudding is spot on, and I absolutely love their huge rice crispy treats.
