Cute little place I tried for lunch today. Instantly greeted by hen I walked in. I ordered a turkey BLT which was pretty good, but to my surprise didn't include bacon... The sandwich cost $11 and it was $3 more to add bacon to a Bacon...Lettuce...Tomato sandwich. It did come with a small bag of chips so that was good. But heir ice cream looks good so I'll definitely come back to try it or to try a shake. read more

Cute decor, hometown feel, and relaxed atmosphere. Stopped by here on Veteran's Day for a lil snack with the family, as we were enjoying events the City of Clovis offered. We ordered peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and sat at a table. It's nice the sandwich comes with a bag of chips. So when you go in, you order at the counter. Everything is very chill, and you are probably likely to strike up a conversation with other customers, just good vibes! They have a variety of food items as well as ice cream. The customer service was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. I like to always see what bread is sitting in the basket up front for sale. Sure enough, I got two beautiful loaves of bread from Max's for $3 each! Fantastic! This place is definitely kid friendly, and is a perfect place to rest and enjoy a beverage, food, or dessert after a day of antiquing in Old Town. Or, just to feel nostalgic, and enjoy a moment with that simpler time feel. I will definitely be back again soon. read more

Really cool place to stop in even just to check out all of the neat memorabilia that is displayed throughout. Lots of Knick Knacks and items for sale. Their menu is pretty full with various items to choose from , including soups, sandwiches, polish dogs, shakes and ice cream. I had the stuffed baked potato, which was really good as a small meal itself and a fountain drink. The locations currently decorated for the Christmas holiday which is nice. Fun, festive spot. Stood at the counter for about 3 minutes before the waitress asked if I needed something. Had to repeat myself three times before she heard that I said I need a menu and I'd like to sit outside since i have my dog. She said I have this menu on the wall on the one in the window. I said ok, we're going to sit outside. She says ok. After about 5 minutes of sitting outside, an older gentleman comes out. He was one of about 20 elderly people that were inside seated at tables. He says 'I thought I should let you know she probably won't come out here to take your order and if you order inside she more then likely won't bring it out when it's ready. But you can sit inside with your dog if you'd like' I told him thanks for letting me know and that we would find somewhere else to eat. Worst service I've had at any establishment in Old Town. I come here every once in a while and the food is consistently good, and I do enjoy the mom and pop country down-home unapologetically Clovis atmosphere. However, service is a total hit or miss. Older lady with a sour face who has worked here for years just never really seems like she enjoys her job. The younger ones who work here have friendlier energy and are more professional, and always get the orders correct. Last time I was in there the older lady totally messed up my sandwich order, which I didn't realize until it was too late since I got it to go. Womp womp. The dude and I came to Scoops Soups and more as on 06/29/19 around 11am after going to the Saturday Clovis Farmers Market. After buying a few items we wanted Rolled Ice Cream at Roll me Some but they didn't open until 12pm so the dude wanted me to try a new place to yelp as I never been here before. I do know that they served ice cream made from the cows or sold Fresno State ice cream here one of the two. Upon entering I noticed they had ample outdoor seating which I opt for sometimes especially if the weather is cool. Anywho when we walked in we were greeted by staff. The staff was friendly and I loved the 1950s decor this place had to it as it reminds me of my favorite Cafe in LA. They have a lot of ice cream flavors as well as food items from soup to bagels but their main deal is ice cream. I was conflicted on what I wanted as I was craving a banana split but the brownie sundae with your choice of ice cream sounded delicious so I ended up going for that but hesitate as sometimes too much chocolate along with the brownie is off putting. Which I was right. I got the banana ice cream Sundae which was bomb until I reached the brownie and chocolate sauce. My dude opted for a Breakfast bagel as he knew he was probably going to finish the ice cream and give me the bagel which he was right! He got a cookie dough malt. Due to the brownie and chocolate sauce being rich I ended up swapping. Overall, I would only get the banana ice cream with fudge and walnuts. The bagel sandwich was bomb along with the malt shake. It is definitely a place to grab a quick snack and go back to the 1950s. You will enjoy it. We are outside so my sunflowers that I got from the Farmers Market would not be destroyed inside. After finishing our treats I left my sunflowers as pictured in the pictures and came back a few minutes later and they were still there blending in with the perfect beautiful day. SO CUTE! An old school ice cream parlor? YES PLEASE! We stopped in here after enjoying a cute evening for "Enchanted Evening" in old town Clovis. It was freezing outside, but after a yummy dinner at Salsa's we wanted a quick fix for our sweet tooth. I am not an ice cream person. I like it, and I'll eat it, but I never crave it. A lot of their ice cream is made local in Fresno, which is always a fun eating experience. The ice cream here is QUALITY. We got a few ice cream cones, and their portions are generous. Asked for a banana split, out of bananas lol I felt so rushed to order at the counter after was told there was no bananas. So I quickly ordered a fudge Sunday, the cashier was asking me what I wanted so loud that I think she thought I was across the room geez! My daughter ordered a medium order of ice cream and said she wanted it in a cone, they served it in a bowl... I had to just keep my mouth shut because I was not about to stoop down to that level of embarrassment. But here I am, writing this review instead. It was my first visit here and probably my last. Scoops Soups & More is pretty fun. They have a good theme going on, and their service is decent. Of course, they serve ice cream, soups, sandwiches! They use a lot of Fresno State Ice Cream, which is delicious, and they have a lot of options for ice cream/smoothies/banana splits, etc. They also sell other desserts like brownies, cookies, etc. Their food options are as home-made as you can get without being home. (Not a bad thing, just basic, in my opinion.) They offer things like grilled cheese, BLT's, PB&J's, Hot dogs. Again,everything is cooked well, and tastes as it should, but there is nothing too special. I appreciate that this is a cute little place in Old Town Clovis to sit and eat ice cream with my family and friends. Not my "go to" spot, but I am a fan. There are places to sit inside and outside, but when it's crowded, space can get tight between the tables and the counter when you order. read more

This is a cute little location that fits in nicely with the OLD downtown Clovis vibe. This is the first ice cream parlor that I have been to which offers Fresno State ice cream. That was why I gave it a 4 instead of 3. I had the salted Carmel ice cream and it was scrumptious! The other reason I gave it 4 stars was my boys were able to order Hawaiian Ice. They had all of their favorite flavors. Again, only location that I know that offers yummy ice cream and Hawaiian Ice. It is a bit on the pricey side but about the same as a chain ice cream shop. 2 Hawaiian Ice and a single scoop ice cream was $12.00. The cons of this place are employees are not extremely friendly which I find odd being it's fun vibe and it's ice cream, who isn't happy around ice cream. The other downside was upon entering you get a funny smell. My son gladly pointed out, "it smells weird in here." The smell goes away once you are in the place for 2 minutes. I stopped here to enjoy some ice cream with my son. The server was horrible. She slammed the cup on the counter. Not friendly at all and did not engage in our greeting. The other lady was also awful and unfriendly. I feel horrible for tipping. Even my son who is 4 asked why she was so unhappy. I visited because we liked the decor and it's a Clovis must. The BLT sand-which is delicious but the customer service is embarrassing. The younger girl taking my order was rude and when I asked her if they served lemonade she gave me such an ugly look. "I'm sorry I've never been in here before" is what I said and she just stood there waiting for me to make up my mind. As for the older lady, when I paid with card she would give me such a nasty look almost like I was such an inconvenience to her because she had to use the card machine. I've decided to come back and update my review! I used to work down the street from Soups and Scoops and I would grab some homemade soup often. I've always received decent service, but back then they were just not overly friendly, and the breakfast burrito seemed a little over priced. Most recently I discovered they are on Postmates, well it's been 2 1/2 years since I've had their amazing homemade soup which is always been my favorite so I was super happy to see they were on Postmates so I gave it a try the burrito has doubled in size and the soup is just as delicious as it was before and the prices are amazing it's basically about $14 for a half a sandwich and homemade soup, which I think is a fantastic price for wholesome food. The restaurant itself is quite charming it's very retro or fashion little ice cream diner shop vibe. Well I'm going to assume it's still the same I've driven by it but I haven't been inside in it in a while. I always feel it's a struggle to find wholesome food not many places make it homemade it's usually canned which is loaded with processed garbage and too much salt. So if you're just looking for some good homemade food you're gonna love Soups and Scoops!! Oh! By the way the wild chicken rice soup is my ultimate favorite soup! Have been coming to this spot for a few years and have always had a good experience. Closing time listed at 8 during week day but they usually stay open past closing time and accept last minute walk ins. Prices are somewhat steep for some items, but it's an old school mom n pop shop that is a dying breed. Very old school feel to the shop and not many places, if any, like this remain in the area. 50's soda shop type feel to it and every now and again a small band can be found playing live music out front.
