Looking to satisfy my craving of Shaved Ice I've found this place. They have the Mexican version of the classic Hawaiian Shaved Ice (Raspados)... and actually, I think it is better because the syrups are made with real fruit and not just artificial flavours. The "neveria" is pretty clean and the 2 people attending are very polite and flexible when you request any additional flavour or size. They have ice cream, paletas and other Mexican snacks too. I love coming here in the evenings after work, nothing like a good sweet to refresh you :)

Buen servicio al cliente. Atienden muy rápido, además tienen muy limpio. Siempre mi favorito es la "Monja"

I came here by myself on 7/17/21. I was super hungry at my parents house (I eat different from them), middle sister wasn't feeling well to dine out and I myself starving decided to stop by for a quick snack to hold me over for family dinner in the evening. I arrived about 2pm. I entered and it cool inside. I was immediately greeted by a lovely young woman. I pretty much already knew what I wanted which was my Mangonada which ended up being the Chamango. I did look at the ice cream, their bars, and other yummy treats they have. The woman and I pretty much hit off! She fell in love with my purple Coach purse with the flowers on it so we were having a pretty good conversation. Honestly, my favorite ice cream is Mexican ice cream. I'm totally biased. It taste better than American ice cream in a heart beat. I have been wanting to try this place out ever since they opened a few years ago but never had the opportunity to stop by and GOSH I wish I didn't wait so long ;( The atmosphere was very low key, the woman whipped up my Chamango in minutes. I just hope they get more business :D I love this place. I visit the family house 3 or 4 times a week so I am looking forward to taking my two lovely nieces here to show them the best ice cream places. I didn't bring them this round as the ice cram would spoil their appetite for dinner - joys of being an adult - also, very clean inside and tidy. Anyways, I would rate my Chamango 8/10 it was seriously good and filling, fresh mango, Chamoy, tajín, mango ice cream hit the spot on some of the hottest days here in the Valley. Cost me about $7 which is totally worth it. I can't wait to come back!! I definitely will be trying more of their ice creams. I highly recommend you give this mom and pop ice cream shop a try. The area I felt pretty safe in but there can be a lot of police activity so be careful and vigilant. #SupportLocal

Always friendly staff that greet you with a friendly smile! Ice cream is always delicious! I've been coming to this ice cream shop for 7 years now and it never disappoints!

I've been here multiple times already and this is my go-to place for Mexican ice cream! Got the Monja and it's shaved ice was kind of chunky but sweet bc of the condensed milk and it was good. Chamo Fresa was good too with frozen strawberries, but the Chamango Especial (which is just mangonada with big chunks of mango) is what I always go back to. Tried the Churro Loco for the first time with clamato, pig skin, churro chips and Japanese peanuts and it was alright. Don't think I'd get it again but I'm glad I tried it! The pre-made icecream bar with strawberries and cream is always delicious too

Waaayy bigger than it looks here.

Tucked away on the S.W. corner of Ashlan and Marty, this place has the most incredible ice cream and fresh fruit desserts! We shared one of the ice cream/fresh fruit/ whipped cream and granola concoctions and it was absolute heaven. He makes the ice cream (many wonderful and exotic flavors) on-site, and the two we sampled were out of this world. Worth driving over and worth every penny, especially in hot Fresno summers.

I usually come to get something to snack on from here especially when I crave spicy things but heres some photos for updated menu on there prices

Wrong order! Can't even identify their flavors

Stupid staff. I ordered guava and pointed at it. She told me, "haha no! That one is strawberry!" And then she served me the wrong one! I felt confused... I get home and I'm tasting the strawberry because she doesn't know her ice cream flavors! I'm going back tomorrow for my $6.50 ice cream-rip off return!! This is ridiculous. Also, I asked for a thick milkshake and they made a watery smoothie! There goes another $7 drink! get it together small businesses... By the way, they don't rinse their scooper between flavors! Watch out if you have a nut allergy!! I can smell lawsuit! Also, the lady forced me to try her cheese ice cream; it's queso seco on ice and it's disgusting. It's Covid19 season and she's not even allowed to offer samples. It's a hot mess there. Don't return.

This is a small shop with a big back area where they make ice cream magic. They have different delicious ice cream treats and at least one agua fresca at all times ranging from $2 - $5 or so but I usually stick with the paletas. They have at least theee different strawberry options and every other fruit - and some veg like avocado- don't knock it til you try it. The paletas are separated by water-based and dairy-based. Both are good. My favorite water-based: watermelon, lime, jamaica (hibiscus) and fave dairy-based: both strawberry - sooo good. Currently, paletas are $2 each with no discount that I could see. I'm pretty sure two summers ago, the dairy based were like 25 cents or 50 cents more (adds up when you buy 10 like me haha). Anyway, you deserve these frozen treats, don't deny yourself any longer.

We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? The owner's mentioned on articles that there's no one to take over and you don't become a master overnight.
