There's ALWAYS room for dessert! I've had this place bookmarked since they opened. Ate at a Mexican restaurant near this place for dinner and decided to stop by since we were already on this side of town. Arrived 40mins just before they closed. We were greeted. The nice lady was helping others at the time and said she would get to as soon as she can. The place is clean and love the modern interior design. They had so many flavors she was offering samples. I wanted to order from their monthly flavors and the Brownie Cascade stood out the most. Large 5oz single scoops for $4.90 my husband ordered a single scoop of Birthday cake for him and my daughter to share. The Brownie Cascade was delicious. The chocolate was rich and the brownie bits were soft and had a sticky chewy consistency. Wasn't really a fan of that part since it was sticking to my teeth but overall the flavor was very good. The birthday cake had a nice cake batter flavor but it had an icy texture my husband didn't like it and had a few bites of my brownie cascade.

This place was advertised to me on Instagram, and looking at the flavors, I really had to try it! Scoops has a beautiful, clean look. They have 4 fancy looking milkshake machines. Seems like all the bells and whistles. The girl behind the counter was incredibly warm and friendly. There are 3 full cases of ice cream. I tried 3 flavors, pistachio, exhausted parent (bourbon, espresso ice cream with chocolate chunks), and one of their rotating flavors. I went with exhausted parent because it's not too sweet and had a great flavor profile. She served me up a huge scoop for $4.50 and we stayed around for me to enjoy it. While the flavor was good, the ice cream itself is very mediocre. Texture is very gummy, like part marshmallow. I ended up eating only half of my scoop. I give Scoops 3 stars for friendly service and atmosphere, but likely won't come back as there are much better local ice creameries to be enjoyed.

The Maui Waui was so bomb!!! My family all enjoyed their ice creams. Its a simple shop but a lot of different and yummy flavors, it was hard to choose was to get!

My new go-to ice cream place! So many flavors to choose from (favorite base flavors are definitely their mint chocolate chip which had the yummiest chocolate chunks & the cookies and cream). They also have 4 monthly flavors which have been nothing short of amazing - favorites so far are the peanut butter cookie dough & blackberry lemon pie! They also have fresh homemade cookies to have with the ice cream. Staff is very kind and welcoming, always willing to help. The owner has been there every time I've gone and is always helping the employees, fully engaged! Interior is so nicely done with indoor seating options for those hot summer days (or rainy winter days which is my favorite time to have ice cream!) The best part is that they are pet friendly!! I took my doggo there and he had the best time with his pupcup!

This is a new ice cream shop that opened 1/12/2024. It is located in the Fig Tree Plaza where the Dutch Bros is so there is ample parking. It used to be a Baskin-Robbins, but was transformed into Scoops. The ambience is very simple and cute with outdoor and indoor seating available. Since it is new it was empty and we had the entire place to ourselves. They have this cute neon sign and nice mirror to take photos with your party. They offer 24 regular flavors and 4 flavors that rotate monthly. The staff were very nice and patient with my toddler niece and nephew choosing their flavors and even letting them sample the flavors before hand. The ScooKie offers a cookie under the ice cream of your choice. We got cotton candy, maui wuau sherbet, Kitty Kitty bang bang, and chocolate chip oatmeal cookie. All flavors were very tasty and I can't wait to try the rest. I would highly recommend and this new location, go check it out!

Cute little area to sit at.

This is a small shop with a big back area where they make ice cream magic. They have different delicious ice cream treats and at least one agua fresca at all times ranging from $2 - $5 or so but I usually stick with the paletas. They have at least theee different strawberry options and every other fruit - and some veg like avocado- don't knock it til you try it. The paletas are separated by water-based and dairy-based. Both are good. My favorite water-based: watermelon, lime, jamaica (hibiscus) and fave dairy-based: both strawberry - sooo good. Currently, paletas are $2 each with no discount that I could see. I'm pretty sure two summers ago, the dairy based were like 25 cents or 50 cents more (adds up when you buy 10 like me haha). Anyway, you deserve these frozen treats, don't deny yourself any longer.

When it came time to pay I only had card and no cash and there card machine was down that day. He literally told me it was fine and to just take the ice cream for free, (3 ice creams and a agua Fresca). The ice cream itself was fresh and reminded me of the way they make it in mexico.10/10 as well. Also as I was typing this a homeless man came in and he gave him a snow cone for free. We were in town the morning after seeing the Firefail. Finally success on the third visit attempt. Amongst other shops on the desolate street stood an unremarkable window front where the repeat button has remained on since the 60s. Within was an eclectic mix of Japanese American household fixtures and Americana. Rustic. Nothing like Benkyodo's proper shelf presentation - or a hamburga stand. Some Japanese goods were on offer, but you come here for something sweet. We got a couple of mochi and manju, traditional red bean flavors, because that's all that was left. Their manju, seeming to have a different "batter" and "panini"-grilled, had a crumbly texture. The mochi though... Have you seen that viral video of that slapping mochi shop in Nara? What about people enjoying it? How soft it was, leaving a vegan cheese pull with every bite? This was by far the softest mochi I've ever had, and I thoroughly enjoyed the soy dusted yomogi. The bigger size of the mochi also accentuated the softness of the mochi. The matcha, also green, had a distincting different flavor, just so you know that the shop wasn't cheating. My partner in crime loved the lima bean mochi. The red bean filling tasted homemade, good flavor but not too sweet - the best compliment you can give an Asian in a world that remains overrun by pollo ala naranja. We are proud* that such a heritage perseveres on, especially in a part of town that's honestly become quite desecrated of life. Call ahead to see if the shop is open, and try to come early. The shop is a one woman show, and if my first two visits say anything, this lady enjoys having a life. And yes, she does sell out. She was nearly sold out when we visited. And try to enjoy the mochi ASAP. The mochi will last in the fridge. The texture will not. If you come at the right time of the year, the shop will have mochi in different fruit and pie flavors, and even ice cream mochi. *OK, "I'm proud of you" might be a bigger compliment to an Asian. And yes, there's Fugetsu in LA, but I haven't been. Though if you need a reason to visit the Fresno, you can always take the 99 traveling between SoCal and NorCal... Just need to be early if much is desired. If you're interested in AYCEat mochi, staying healthy, working out for free, and have an eye for the art of making mochi, may I suggest asking the owner for an apprenticeship? The owner's mentioned on articles that there's no one to take over and you don't become a master overnight.
