Well, they are no longer offering the smallest size (ai think it was called junior or kids) and they are no longer offering the large size. Only the small and regular. I wanted the junior/ kids and my boyfriend wanted the large. Not sure why as their IG page just shared they offer Kids and Large sized cups. Previously, staff was very generous with portions, and very accommodating to the customer. It seems now that the reigns have been pulled in. My boyfriend noticed that after his cup was filled there was still ice cream left on the mixing slab. Instead of putting it in his cup, it was scrapped into the discard trough.

The lemon isn't overwhelming and the gelato almost has a seltzer or bubbly, water mouth feel. If you've never had this before, definitely get a sample next time you're at BB's. The spot is located downtown, but surprisingly there's plenty of parking across the street and some meter parking right in front of the shop itself. Just before we got to the register there were a few brownies that again I couldn't say no to and I'm glad I didn't walk away without because they were absolutely delicious! My son got a vanilla milkshake with whip cream on top and he finished it pretty quickly. The shop is small but it was packed at the time we went. The servers were quick and also attentiive to all their customers and I'm very chatty so I started talking to the customers in front of me who told me that they were sent over from their parents who told them they would pay for their ice cream if they made the trip for them lol. The employee helping us also seemed pretty uninterested, which unfortunately took away from the experience a little. All the tables were taken, so we ended up getting our ice cream and leaving. That said, the kids really enjoyed their ice cream! They got the Dubai chocolate ice cream and were still eating it two days later, so clearly they liked it! I got the rainbow slushy with candy on top, and it was pretty good too. I think the biggest thing for me was that the social media hype created a much bigger expectation than the actual in-person experience delivered. The treats were good, but I was more excited about experiencing the place than just getting ice cream, and that part fell a little short. Still giving it because the ice cream itself was enjoyable, especially according to my kids. I just wish the atmosphere and customer experience matched what I had seen online. Boysenberry is hybrid fruit that combines raspberries, blackberries, dewberry, and a loganberry. * I only know this bit of trivia because I've been to Boysenberry Festival in Orange County manyu many times * ...anyways, this Boysenberry Pie flavor was delicious! The base is a creamy vanilla mixed with a boysenberry jam and a sort of graham cracker pie crust crumble. Such great textures with the light crunch of the graham cracker and the smoothness of the ice cream. I highly enjoyed this mini masterpiece! I also sampled their other September flavors: pralines and cream, German chocolate brownie, and blueberry biscoff. All were very good and I really enjoyed the German chocolate brownie. My go to is always the honeycomb but if the rotating flavors sound good then I'll get something off that menu. Each month is different which is really unique. Few tables to sit at, there's a bathroom inside which is nice. Pretty solid but my scoop looked pretty wet and sad. Wish the employee gave it a little more love though.
