My car battery died and I called AAA. It was a Saturday so it took a little while for someone to come, but when Byron from Save Tow did arrive, he was extremely professional and knowledgeable. Unfortunately he didn't have my exact batter on this truck so he called his colleague who was across town who had my battery. Byron jumped in his truck and drove out to meet him before his colleague went to another call that was further away. When Byron returned, he replace my battery and I was on the road again. I've had to call tow trucks in the past and all though this time I was fortunate enough to lock my keys in my truck at my house. I looked my granddaughters pooh bear stuffed animal in the truck... This is a late review. Byron came out to replace the battery in my 2005 Prius back on Dec 3, 2016. Went out that morning, and it would not start. Called AAA battery replacement (which is a great service--have used them three times in the past 10 years), and Byron from Save Tow came out. He came out about 45 minutes after I placed the call. I had no idea changing the battery in a Prius is so complicated!! It's in the trunk, under all the flooring, and lots of stuff has to be removed to even get at it. He used an electronic instrument to make sure that my battery actually was dead and not worth saving. Then, it took him about 30 minutes to get the dead one out and the new one in. He explained what he was doing, and was very helpful. Says he's been doing this for years--hope he keeps doing it for years! I want him the next time the battery in any of my cars decides to die on me. read more

I live in Oregon and am in the Bay Area for Thanksgiving week. When I called AAA they told me they would relay all my info to Calif. I was notified within a few minutes by AAA Calif that someone would be there within an hour. Byron showed up in less than 20 min! Byron is a lifesaver! This is the second time he has been dispatched to help me in the past couple of months. The first time was not my fault, really! My battery failed and since it was the second time in a week (previous time another nice AAA guy came out), Byron recommend I replace the battery. I agreed and he did the work super fast, while explaining the process to me, which I really appreciated. Today, was my fault. I was so excited to have found a really cool lime green ski jacket for $10.00 at a thrift store, that I threw my purchase and my purse and keys into the trunk and swift slammed it shut. Called AAA around 7 am for a battery service at my home (car wouldn't start). In less than an hour Byron was at the house. He ran all the necessary tests and determined the battery was dead. Since it was the day after July 4th he did not have a replacement battery for my particular car on his truck. He went and got one and was back in less than 30 minutes. Installed the new battery and retested it in a most efficient and professional manner. Byron did a great job. read more

I am so glad that it was Byron that came out and helped replaced my battery! Call #30573. I had a meeting and knew that I was going to be late when my car didn't start. I called AAA and it seemed that Byron was there in the first 15 minutes of the call. He diagnosed the problem and had by battery changed within 30 minutes and I was on my way. This place is horrible. Our motorcycle broke down at 11pm on Saturday night. We were quoted $95 tow and $70 for storage, per day. We were given the option to pick it up Sunday or Monday, at $70 a day. We were on our way (an hour and a half away) when we called to let them know we were coming. We were told, at first, they did not have our vehicle. Then they called the idiot that towed us and said, yes they did have our vehicle. But we would have to pay the $100 gate fee, because it was Sunday. I told the HORRIBLE man on the phone that we were quoted $95 for the tow and $70 for storage and that was it. He called me a liar, said his employee would never tell a customer they could pick it up on a Sunday without paying a gate fee. I again told him I would not make this up and we were never told of a gate fee. Why would we leave our vacation to drive on a Sunday, if we knew we had to pay a gate fee? Also, had we been quoted the extra $100, we would have never agreed to have the bike towed to their yard. I was again called a liar and pretty much told me he was sorry I was too poor and couldn't afford it. I never once said I couldn't afford it and for this HORRID man to call a customer a liar and pretty much call a customer poor is bad business and horrible customer service skills. I am going to call the police tomorrow, when we pick it up, stating that they stole our bike, because, well, they did. We were told we could get it today and then they changed their story. We aren't even sure it is still there, from the way the asshole made it sound. And they harassed and verbally abused me. I have no reason to fabricate a story or to lie. This is the WORST place I have ever had to deal with. I am also contacting the BBB on them and my attorney. How do they stay in business is beyond me. read more
