Okay, I don't even know where to start with this horrible, very horrible towing company. Okay so my car broke down on me at Cal state in Hayward and I google Towing companies in the area. A9 came up and I thought I would give them a chance so I called them. Worst decision in my life ever!!. First of all, the guy who answered my phone sounded like he was drunk or sleepy. He asked me where my car was and I told him at Cal state, and then asked me which parking lot and I told him. I told him that my car would be taken to union city, off decoto road and mission and he quoted me $60! I asked him how long it will take him and he said 45 minutes. Lie!!. Before I could ask him where he is coming from he hang up on me and when I called back, no answer. So I thought, hmm, maybe he is on his way that's why there's no one in the office to answer the phone. And so I waited, a driver showed up 2 hours later. So he hooks up my car and after he did, that's when he asked, "whats wrong with your car, I can fix it for you. I have a shop down the street and I can charge you cheap." So he convinces me to go to his shop and I though, well if its gonna save me some money, why not. So we to to the shop which was just on mission and after we got there, he talks to some guy in private who looked like the owner. The he walks up tp me again and he goes, "Your car need an ac compressor and I can get that for you for $300. so I though, wow, the shop I was taking it to was charging me $383 for a new ac compressor, so I thought to myself that I was lucky. But then I asked him where he was gonna get the part from and he answers very proudly. "from the junk yard". Whaaat!! Good thing I asked him and I told him to take me to my original shop since I didn't trust him at that point. He doesn't have the address and he asks me if he can follow me. No problem. Once we get there, he goes, "I need $85 or am taking your car to the yard." wtf??? Was this guy for real? I argue with him for a few seconds and I was soo pissed, but then it was only $25 more from the original quote. I asked the shop owner to pay him and add that amount to my final bill after fixing my car which he agrees. The shop owner then asks the tow driver for the receipt which as it turns out, he didn't have. He just towed my car without any receipt or taking any information down. The shop owner tells him that in order for him to get paid, he needs to bring a receipt and then sends the tow truck driver on his way. So I don't know whether he came back with the receipt but I appreciated the shop in Union City for teaching this unprofessional towing company a lesson in customer service and ethics.
So to cut a long story short, these guys don't know what they are doing and they should get off the business. We should not let them tow our cars. A9 Suckss!!!
