We drive a low-sitting BMW Z4 and got a flat tire near lakeshore area - oakland. We called Gieco and was referred to United Towing. Within an hour, the first guy that came with his tow truck assessed our situation/car and recommended a different guy with a flatbed come through to avoid damage to our car - which we appreciated. By our request; he even tried to pump air into our flat to see if we could drive it ourselves to the closest mechanic - but no air was able to hold. (Didn't get the name of this guy unfortunately). In less than an hour, Andre came through with his flat bed and delivered top-notch diligent service. He was knowledgeable, careful, and went above and beyond to make sure our car did not scrape the ground while being towed onto the flatbed. I used United Towing through Geico to schedule a pick-up this morning. Usually you have to wait a bit but my tow service rep, Andre, was early and even gracious enough to wait for me to get ready to go as I was anticipating a later arrival time. He was professional and very communicative through the process. I didn't even end up using the tow because my car was actually working enough to drive it to my service appointment but Andre agreed to follow me there just in case something happened along the way. Progressive insurance arrange United Towing to pick my truck which was vandalized at my job parking lot. Hector called prior arrival to let me know arrival time. He was very professional and uploaded my truck with care. He has great customer service and was happy with his job. My truck was kept at their garage overnight because I did not had a repair shop selected yet. Next day, Progressive arranged from my truck to be moved at the selected repair shop. If I could leave a 0-Star review I would. They have the worst customer service!!! I called to complain (yes I had an attitude because I waited 2 hours for a tow that never came to see when I should be expecting their arrival) to let them know that they didn't follow due process by calling me to let me know they arrived on scene. United Towing had the nerve to "DOA" my service request and stated I was not at the location with my car. Which is false! I was sitting in my spouse's car. they also informed AGERO dispatch that they wouldn't be sending another tow to my location for this reason. I suggested to AGERO to NOT renew a contract with this company because they're service is subpar and the customer service is below the basement. No one actually wants to do the job that they're getting paid to do. I called the United Towing after being informed by AGERO dispatch that they canceled the service request to see why they canceled it, because surely dispatch had it wrong. When I called United Towing, the rude lady that works for them tried to blame me and said that I gave them the wrong number and stated "how about you give them the right number next time" and I replied, simply "how about I did give you guys the right number because you texted the link with YOUR Company name AND phone Number to my phone!" And how about you actually do the job that you're being paid to do, instead of being lazy" and she rudely and facetiously said "byeeee" before hanging up in my face. I was calling so that they could rectify and resolve the issue in a diplomatic way. But she chose to be rude and caddy as if I was bothering HER for doing HER job. She needs to be FIRED! People who call are already stressed out because an unfortunate event has happened with their car. To make the situation worse by being rude and unapologetic to people who are reaching out for help is just lower than low. read more

Service arrived before the eta was up. Received a text and call upon arrival. The driver, Trayvon, was very personable, communicative and knowledgeable; very transparent about the process. He explained everything. He took the best route and my desired route. Had no issues at all. Got everything done in a good amount of time. Had a 'can do attitude' the entire time. Made sure everything was good once he dropped off me and the vehicle. He answered all my questions. The truck didnt have all the required tools for the tow because there was a miscommunication between the insurance company and the tow dispatcher, but he made it work safely.
