Stranded and needing a tow, Lexus advised my wife and I on the phone to call Golden State Fleet. Sean showed up ready to tow our car but surprisingly all we needed was a battery charge; our hybrid SUV exhibited bizarre behavior, not like a normal internal combustion vehicle. Sean's expertise saved us a $100 towing charge. But the notable thing was his kindness, courtesy, and the way he handled the car problem that we had to endure last night. After he got our car started, we decided to drive to the Lexus dealership to get everything checked out by them the following morning. Update: Thank you for the reply, April. I wanted to clarify on your responses. (1) I did not see anyone else from your crew on Friday when the gate was still closed at 2:30PM. I didn't even know there was another gate. (2) Copart called me on Tuesday, 8/12, to inform me that I haven't released the vehicle to them after they called your office. I released the vehicle on Friday, 8/8, with a signed form. Copart tried to do a 3-way call with your office, but they came back to me to tell that you are still looking for it. I called your office and after put on hold, your office told me that they have found it. I know you strive to give a good experience which is seen in the other reviews. Unfortunately, mine is just bad. -------- Bad experience with this service. No personnel during business hours, needed to wait for them to come back after overdoing their lunch break. And then they misplaced my release form so kept on telling my Insurance provider that I havent released the vehicle. read more

I recently called Golden State Fleet Services. As I needed a tow from my house in Dublin to my mechanic in Santa Clara. I have a BMW M3 that is lowered with a carbon fiber splitter. Prior to me calling Golden State, I had called AAA, and the tow truck driver refused to tow the car as they said they did not want to damage the carbon fiber splitter. I've had the car towed 10-12 times in the 7 years I've owned the car and have never been denied a tow. As long as the tow truck driver is experienced and careful, the car can be towed. Long story short, AAA refused to tow the car, and I canceled my AAA membership. I called Golden State Fleet, and they had a tow truck to my house in 20 min. I waited two hours for AAA. Glen greeted me and was very professional. He understood the car was lowered and took special care to get the car on the truck without it touching the bed once. Glen took his time and lifted the car as if it were his own. My horrible day became amazing, and I'm grateful for Glen's professionalism and attention to detail in towing my car. read more

Highly recommend this company. My car would not start in my garage, the dashboard was giving me all sorts of alarming, warning alerts, I called the local Lexus dealership and they recommended Golden State fleet to have my car towed in for service. The receptionist on the phone was so kind and understanding and she promised to get somebody out right away to help me as I was unsure if my car was safe to be turned off as it was not shutting off. I needed a non-urgent, short tow from San Ramon to Danville. They were a bit backed up due to a rainy day but got back to me an hour after I called and was at the tow spot 20 minutes later. Price was fair, neither cheap nor expensive. Glen was the driver and he had to navigate my car into a pretty tight spot and nailed it. Sometimes you get tows and they drop it where it's just convenient for the driver. BIG shout out to Glen from Golden State Fleet!!! Last night we went to a restaurant in Danville. It was really pouring rain when we got there. The parking spot had very narrow cement block so when my husband pulled forward the cement block didn't stop his tires. He slid off of the parking spot into the a muddy wet ditch. It looked like it would have been an easy extraction but it wasn't. AAA tried unsuccessfully to pull the truck out of the ditch but the tires couldn't get traction. The more they tried the further the truck slid into the ditch. Unbeknownst to the AAA truck driver the frame of the truck was below the pavement and narrow cement blocks so there was no pulling it out without getting traction under the tires. It was more stuck when we got there today than when it initially slid off of the pavement. Today Glen from Golden State Fleet came out. He assessed the situation better and came up with a winning solution!! He jumped the truck whose battery died last night. Then he jacked the entire truck off of the ground. He adjusted the front tires into the right position and put the correct size blocks under the front tires. He then hooked the truck up and used his wench to pull it out of the ditch! I've used Golden State Fleet for towing a several vehicles over the past 6 month. They are prompt, reasonably priced and the service personnel are pleasant to work with and helpful. Glenn just came out this afternoon to tow my vehicle. The ignition wouldn't start my car. Battery?? or at my age, forgetting to put the car in park. Yes the latter. I was stuck on the side of the road on 580 after My truck decided it couldn't drive anymore. I called around and tried to get a two but everyone kept saying 2 hours minimum. I finally got a hold of golden state and they quoted me 45 minutes. I was so happy they could get to me so quick. Glen showed up right on time and had me get into his truck to keep me safe since I was on the freeway. Before I could get comfortable in my seat my truck was already on the tow truck. There aren't enough wonderful things I can say about Golden State Fleet! They were professional, reliable and the most kind people I worked with during my accident ordeal. I called them a few days after the accident to see if I could come down and get personal items out of my car, and they accommodated me immediately and helped me get my stuff out. It unfortunately took my insurance company three weeks to tow my car off their lot, but during the entire time, Golden State Fleet would call me and provide me with updates and remained completely understanding of the situation and delays. They were transparent with me and eased my worries with each of their calls and updates. This is truly the worst company to do business with! I called their office to arrange my towed vehicle to be picked up. They gave me the address to go to, but forgot to mention that nobody will be at their yard. Called back and finally after 30 minutes wait in the 100 plus degrees weather a guy showed up. His attitude was very arrogant and rude. This by no means a way to treat a customer! This towing company is absolutely pathetic. I call to ask about getting stuff out of my vehicle, and the guy tells me I need to pay over a hundred dollars to access my property. That's complete and utter BS so I tell the guy to explain why I need to pay a fee to get my belongings and he replies in a rude manner not answering the questions I asked him and then following with him hanging up on me. Was in a horrible accident on 680 . Luckily no one was injured and it was just me and 1 other vehicle. My airbag had deployed and I was in shock. The CHP came and called a the tow truck which was Golden Gate fleet towing services. Alex was the one who towed my car to a auto body shop in San Ramon. He talked to me and made me feel very comfortable in a very upsetting Situation. A very special thanks to Alex for making a stressful situation much calmer. Oh my goodness, after calling Golden Way Towing and being lied to multiple times (eta 25 minutes, eta 10 to 15 minutes extra, eta another 30 minutes), we couldn't trust waiting any longer. What's the saying "fool me once..." I started calling tow truck companies who could come to our rescue, our commercial van needed a jump and we had customers waiting for us.
